Description
Indoor- and outdoor unit
Control panel, see the section on ‘Use’ for an explanation of the control panel.
Installation
Installation without support plate
Attach the large brackets to the outdoor unit of the air-conditioner by
crosswise tightening two screw caps per bracket. (Two screw caps are already
present in their place and two screw caps are supplied separately with the
appliance).
Hang the outdoor unit in its place on the window. Place the indoor unit on a
table or something similar. Watch out: on the interior side of the large
brackets is a removable block. This had to be removed in certain caravans
(with thicker walls or window frames).
Installation with support plates
At the indoor side, attach the support plates to the brackets using the female-threaded knobs. Now you can slide the indoor unit over the support plates.
Use
Before use, take into account that:
- The EUROM AC2401 works at an ambient temperature of a maximum of 42°C on high fan speed (high speed) and a maximum of 38°C on low fan speed (low speed).
- The appliance is not hanging crooked or tilted.
- Both sealing caps on the rear side of the indoor unit are mounted. Watch out: if the sealing caps are not placed correctly, the condensed water from the indoor unit is not drained to the outdoor unit and this water consequently leaks from the indoor unit. Watch out: chance of water damage.
- The airflows entering and leaving the appliance are not blocked.
- While traveling, you do not hang the EUROM AC2401 uninstalled.
- The appliance is not placed close to a source of heat or exposed to direct sunlight.
- Windows and doors are shut and curtains or shutters are closed during the hottest hours of the day.
- The filters are clean.
Instructions
- Remove the packaging materials and keep these out of the reach of children.
- Check whether the appliance does not have any damage. Do not operate a damaged or defective appliance, but turn to your supplier.
- Check whether the socket, which you want to use for connecting the air-conditioner, is for 220-240V-50Hz.
- Insert the plug into the socket. The buzzer will send three signals to indicate that the appliance is ready for operation (READY).
ON/OFF button Press on the ON/OFF button. The ON and the HIGH lights will go on and you will see six (6) stars on the screen. The appliance is now operating continuously on high capacity.
SPEED button Press on the SPEED button to set the fan speed on High or Low. The corresponding light will go on.
Cooling button (cool)
- Press on the COOL button (the button that cools) to set the ambient temperature to 28°C. The screen will display a single star (Fig. 3).
- Press again on COOL to set the ambient temperature to 25°C. The screen will display two (2) stars (Fig. 4).
- Press again on COOL to set the ambient temperature to 22°C. The screen will display three (3) stars (Fig. 5).
- Press again on COOL if you want to set the ambient temperature below 22°C. The screen will display six (6) stars to indicate that the air-conditioner is working continuously (Fig. 6).
Timer
Operating time can be set from 0.5 to 7.5 hours by pressing the TIMER button 1
to 5 times. The time set is displayed on the screen. At the end of the period
set, the air-conditioner will automatically switch off (Fig. 7-11).
Automatic drainage of condensed water
As soon as the condensed water in the collection tray in the indoor unit
reaches a certain level (0.8 liters), the pump will automatically discharge
the water to the condenser in the outdoor unit. In the outdoor unit, the water
partially evaporates together with the discharge of warm air. The remaining
water is discharged through a drain pipe at the underside of the outdoor unit.
In case of interruption, you will hear a buzzer (alarm) for 20 seconds and the
appliance will switch off. By removing the plug from the bottom side of the
indoor unit, the water can be drained and subsequently you can use the
appliance again. Whenever you want to move the indoor unit, it is wise to
first drain the water from the indoor unit by removing one of the sealing
plugs. Otherwise, you run the risk that water leaks into the indoor unit while
moving the appliance.
Maintenance
- First, switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the socket.
- Clean the top surface of the appliance regularly with a vacuum cleaner or with a well-wrung moist cloth. After cleaning, place the appliance in a cool and shaded area with mild airflow to let it dry.
- Pull the frame with the filter at the top side out of the appliance and clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner or clean water. Let it dry (as described above) before returning the filter to its place.
- Do not use alcohol, benzene, scouring agents, or any other agents for cleaning!
