Safety instructions
Before using the device, make sure to read and understand this manual. Warning! Pulling off components might require an increased effort. Therefore, always make sure to obey all safety precautions when pulling off.
- During work, wear appropriate protective equipment, such as working gloves, protective goggles, safety shoes, etc.
- While pulling off, use a protective tarpaulin to avoid injuries and accidents.
- Before each use, check to condition of the hydraulic gear puller. Components worn or damaged must be replaced immediately. Never use a damaged puller tool to avoid accidents and injuries.
- Do not modify the device in any way. Any incorrect use will increase the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Safely apply the puller and always control the necessary effort during pulling. Should anything indicate overload (e.g., stiffness), immediately interrupt pulling. In that case, choose a different pulling part.
- Keep the shafts or traverses clean and well-lubricated.
- Always control the force input and never exceed the maximum load specified.
- To work the gear puller, never use additional electric or pneumatic impact wrenches.
- Do not extend it to increase the torque. This might lead to overload and breaking.
- . The capacity of a combined assembly (e.g., a puller with hydraulic system) always depends on the weakest element.
- . To simplify pulling, components may be warmed up. Attention! Nevertheless, the puller itself must never be warmed up, as this could impair its stability properties.
- . The gear puller should be maintained regularly to increase its service time and ensure safe operation.

Use
- Make sure that the workpiece is only held by interference fit (parallel or taper).
- Fix the appropriate puller (see fig. 1) and adjust the T handle (fig. 2, A) so that the puller (fig. 2,
- B) is approximately 80 mm above the top of the ram (see fig. 2).
- Apply the pulling legs behind the work piece. Then screw the ram body down, using the centre adaptor at the end of the piston until the point of the adaptor engages the end of the shaft from which the work piece is to be pulled off. If necessary, use an extension
- Turn the T handle clockwise by hand to pull the workpiece off the
- Do not screw the T handle in further than 25 mm from the end of the ram (see fig. 2). Should the workpiece need to be moved additionally, unscrew the T handle to 80 mm from the end of the ram. The screw then ram body down so that the centre adaptor again contacts the shaft. Then continue to pull the workpiece off the shaft.
Important! The maximum safe load of the puller may only be reached by hand. Using tools or levers to increase the load can damage the puller and cause injuries. If the work piece does not move even with maximum effort, do not try to loosen the work piece or puller by hitting it. This might cause damages to the puller/work piece and injuries. In that case, use a bigger puller.
