This document is the user manual and contains all the information for correct, efficient and safe use of the product.
This user manual is addressed to the end user. Read this information carefully before installing or using the product.

Product description
Intended use
The Nedis KACM140EBK is a coffee maker with a water reservoir for up to 2 cups of coffee.
The product is intended for indoor use only.
This product is not intended for professional use.
This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
The product is intended for use in household environments for typical housekeeping functions that may also be used by non-expert users for typical housekeeping functions, such as: shops, offices other similar working environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments and/or in bed and breakfast type environments.
Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

WARNING
- Ensure you have fully read and understood the instructions in this document before you install or use the product. Keep the packaging and this document for future reference.
- Only use the product as described in this document.
- Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective product immediately.
- Do not drop the product and avoid bumping.
- Unplug the product from the power source and other equipment if problems occur.
- Do not use the product to heat anything other than water.
- If the surface is cracked, immediately disconnect the product from the power supply and do not use the product anymore.
- Do not let the power cable hang over the edge of a table or counter.
- Do not place the product in a cabinet when in use.
- Place the product on a stable and flat surface.
- Ensure no water enters the power outlet.
- Connect to a grounded outlet only.
- Do not unplug the product by pulling on the cable. Always grasp the plug and pull.
- Do not let the power cable touch hot surfaces.
- Do not expose the product to direct sunlight, naked flames or heat.
- Never immerse the product in water or place it in a dishwasher.
- Do not remove the top lid while the brewing cycle is in progress.
- Do not open the water reservoir during use.
- Unplug the product when not in use and before cleaning.
- Unplug the product from the power source before service and when replacing parts.
- Children of less than 8 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
- Usage by children should be supervised at all times.
- This product is not a toy. Never allow children or pets to play with this product.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
- Do not move the product during operation.
- Do not touch any hot surfaces.
- The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the product is operating.
- Do not fill the water reservoir above the “MAX” indicator.
- This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.

Installation
- Check the contents of the package
- Check that all parts are present and that no damage is visible on the parts. If parts are missing or damaged, contact the Nedis B.V. service desk via the website: www.nedis.com.
Use
Before first use
- Clean the brewing chamber A2, coffee jug A4 and the water reservoir A7 with dish soap and rinse with water.
- When you first use this product, perform two full brewing cycles without coffee to clean the inside of the product.

- Do not fill the water reservoir above the “MAX” indicator.
- Do not touch any hot surfaces.
1. Open the water reservoir lid A5.
2. Fill the water reservoir A7 with clean water for every cup of coffee.
3. Rotate the sprayer A6 to the back. See image B.
4. Place the filter A1 in the brewing chamber A2.
- Usually one level spoon of grounded coffee is needed for one cup of coffee. Adjust the amount according to your personal taste.
5. Distribute the ground coffee evenly.
6. Close A5.
7. Place the coffee cups A4 underneath the brewing chamber A2.
8. Plug the power cable A9 into the power outlet.
9. Press the power button A8 to start the brewing cycle.
- A8 lights up.
- Do not open the water reservoir lid A5 while the brewing cycle is in progress.
10. Wait one minute after the brewing cycle has finished to allow all the coffee to drip into A4.
11. Take A4 from the coffee maker.
- Be careful, hot steam may escape.
12. Enjoy your coffee.
13. Press A8 to switch off the product.
14. Discard the used ground coffee.
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Allow the product to cool down before cleaning it.
- Do not immerse the product in water.
- Do not expose the electrical connections to water or moisture.
- Only the brewing chamber and the glass jug can be washed in a dishwasher. The rest of the product is not dishwasher safe and should be cleaned by hand in soapy water.
- Clean the product regularly with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Avoid abrasives that can damage the surface.
- Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid or acetone when cleaning the product.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children under the age of 8 and without supervision.
- Do not attempt to repair the product. If the product does not operate correctly, replace it with a new product.
Descaling the product
1. Open A5.
2. Fill A7 to the ‘MAX’ indicator with one part white vinegar and three parts of cold water.
3. Place A1 into A2.
4. Close A5.
5. Place a 0.5L reservoir under the coffee spouts A3.
6. Press A8 to switch on the product.
7. Wait a few minutes after the brewing cycle has finished to allow all the coffee to drip into the cups.
8. Allow the product to cool down.
9. Remove, rinse and place back A4.
10. Repeat the above steps with a fresh water-vinegar mixture.
11. Perform three brewing cycles with clean water.
