Thank you for purchasing the Nedis KABT250EWT.
This document is the user manual and contains all the information for correct, efficient and safe use of the product.
This user manual is addressed to the end user. Read this information carefully before installing or using the product.
Always store this information with the product for use in the future.
Product description
Intended use
The Nedis is a toaster with 7 browning settings and a bread heating bracket.
This product is intended to toast normal size slices of bread.
The product is not intended for professional use.
This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
This product is intended for use in household environments for typical housekeeping functions that may also be used by non-expert users for typical housekeeping functions, such as: shops, offices other similar working environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments and/or in bed and breakfast type environments.
Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

- Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective product immediately.

- This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.
- Do not expose the product to water or moisture.
- Always check that the voltage of the product corresponds to the mains voltage.
- The surfaces of the product get hot during use.
- Do not touch any hot surfaces.
- Do not use external timers or remote control systems to switch the product on or off.
- Plug into a grounded outlet only.
- Disconnect the product from the power source before service and when replacing parts.
- Do not let the power cable hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- The power cable cannot be replaced. If the cable is damaged the product should be scrapped.
- Do not place the product near gas, an electric burner or a heated oven.
- Keep the product at a distance from flammable objects such as furniture, curtains and similar.
- Do not insert any objects into the product.
- The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
- Do not remove food while to product is operating.
- Keep the product and power cable out of reach of children under 8 years of age.
- Do not unplug the product by pulling on the cable. Always grasp the plug and pull.
- Make sure the power cable is positioned in a way that prevents tripping or falling.

Installation
- Check the contents of the package
- Check that all parts are present and that no damage is visible on the parts. If parts are missing or damaged, contact the Nedis B.V. service desk via the website: www.nedis.com.
Use
Before first use
- Before first use, perform at least one heating cycle while the product is empty.
- When the product heats up for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odor. This is normal and does not affect the safety of the product.
- After this cycle, the product is ready for use with bread.
Using the product
1. Insert a slice of bread in each bread slot A2.
2. Plug the power cable A3 into a power outlet.
3. Adjust the control knob A8 to choose the level of toasting.
- A8 cannot be adjusted during toasting.
4. Slide the lever A4 down until it locks into place.
- A7 lights up.
- A4 Automatically rises when the toasting is finished.
- Press A7 to cancel the toasting.
If you insert frozen bread, follow steps 1-4 and press the defrost button A5.
To reheat toasted bread, follow these steps:
1. Insert the slices of toasted bread in A2.
2. Slide A4 down until it locks into place.
3. Press the reheat button A6 to reheat the slices of toasted bread.
Use the bread heating bracket A9 for bread that does not fit in A2.
1. Place A9 on top of the toaster.
2. Place bread on A9.
3. Slide A4 down until it locks into place.
Maintenance
- Disconnect the product before cleaning.
- Empty the crumb tray A1 after each use, and clean it with a damp cloth before storing the product.
- Clean the product regularly with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Avoid abrasives that can damage the surface.
- Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid or acetone when cleaning the product.
- Do not attempt to repair the product. If the product does not operate correctly, replace it with a new product.
Warranty
Any changes and/or modifications to the product will void the warranty. We accept no liability for damage caused by improper use of the product.
This product is designed for private use (normal domestic use) only. Nedis is not responsible for wear, defect and/or damages caused by commercial use of the product.
