Introduction
Outdoor Smart Camera (OSC) is designed to replace conventional doorbells by providing remote video streaming access, two-way communication via Wi-Fi network. OSC is an ACpowered video doorbell that is designed for you to view and speak with the visitor at the door with a smartphone from anywhere. OSC may also be used with the included DC-powered mount that allows the device to be used an an outdoor or indoor security camera. The built-in PIR sensor is designed to give a typical detection range of 5 meters and has 105∘degrees viewing angle to the front.
The doorbell functions either as a part of the Abode alarm system by connecting to an Abode security system Control Panel, or as a standalone device. Setup and remote access of OSC is performed via smartphone application developed by Abode Systems, Inc..

For DC (Security Camera) Setup:
With the Corded Attachment unplugged from power source, rotate the Camera Body 90 degrees to lock into place on Attachment. Secure bottom security lock screws. Plug USB power cable into a 5V powered USB Type-A port to power camera, or plug USB power cable into included AC wall adapter. Plug wall adapter into wall to power camera.

Equipment Required
The following equipment is required to use OSC:
- A router supporting 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The OSC should be connected to this router with access to internet and the Abode mobile app.
- An iPhone or Android smartphone Android version requirement: Android 5.1 or above. iPhone version requirement: iOS 9 or above.
- If planning to use the OSC with your existing alarm system, an Abode security system alarm panel is required – the panel must be registered a valid Abode user account. If planning to use the OSC as a standalone device, no Abode security system device is required.
Hardware Installation
Step 1. Installation height is recommenced to be at least 4.5 feet (1.4 meters) from the ground in both doorbell and security camera configurations. Before you begin installation for doorbell mode, identify the doorbell circuit breaker and turn OFF main power to that circuit.
Step 2. Remove Camera Body and mounts from package. Determine which mount will be used.
For AC-Powered (Doorbell) Setup:
Loosen the two screws on the back of the Doorbell Mount. Connect hardwired 8-24V AC doorbell wires to the inputs on the mount and rescue screws. Mount Doorbell Mount to exterior of the house on door frame or siding using the included mounting screws. Use the included wall anchors if installing on stone or masonry. Install OSC Camera Body to the Doorbell mount by rotating the device 90 degrees to lock into place. Secure bottom security lock screw.
Doorbell compatibility — the OSC is compatible with 8-24V AC-powered electronic and mechanical doorbell chimes operating on a two-wire system. The camera is not compatible with wireless doorbells.
For DC-Powered (Security Camera) Setup:
With the Corded Attachment unplugged from power source, rotate the Camera Body 90 degrees to lock into place on Attachment. Secure bottom security lock screws. Plug USB power cable into a 5V powered USB Type-A port to power camera, or plug USB power cable into included AC wall adapter. Plug wall adapter into wall to power camera.
Step 3. If using Corded Attachment determine best placement of camera before permanently installing. The camera may be used sitting flat on a surface inside (such as a shelf), or mounted inside or outside using the included Magnetic Mount. To install the Magnet Mount, use the included mounting screw to mount the Magnetic Mount metal bracket to a solid surface. Rotate to lock Magnetic Mount to metal bracket. Confirm the connection is secure, then latch camera to mount and position to the desired angle.
Step 4. Supply power to the camera by either turning the circuit breaker back ON, or plugging in the Corded Attachment USB cable into a 5V USB port.
Setup with App
The Video Door Phone can be either incorporated into existing Climax security system as an accessory device, or used as a standalone device. Determine which application should be used with your Video Door Phone before proceeding to setup process.
