This user manual is addressed to the end user. Read this information carefully before installing or using the product.

Product description

The Nedis WIFIHTPL20FWT is a panel convection heater that allows the user to control the surrounding temperature.

Intended use

The product is intended for indoor use only.

This product is only suitable for well insulated spaces or occasional use.

It can be used in wet and damp environments.

Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

Safety instructions

WARNING

  • Only use the product as described in this manual.
  • Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective device immediately.
  • This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • Disconnect the product from the power outlet and other equipment if problems occur.
  • Do not drop the product and avoid bumping.
  • Close supervision is necessary when the product is used by or near children, animals or infirm persons. Do not allow children to play with it or touch it.
  • Do not use the product where splashing of water might occur, e.g. bathroom, swimming pool or close to a washbowl.
  • Do not use the product in rooms where flammable liquids or gases are used or stored.
  • Do not use the product in dusty environments.
  • Place the product on a stable and flat surface.
  • Make sure that the electrical supply in your area matches a voltage of 220 – 240 VAC and a frequency of 50 Hz.
  • Keep away heat-deformable, discolouring or deteriorating products.
  • Avoid direct sunlight.
  • Make sure that no other high current appliances are plugged into the same circuit with your product. Overloading may occur.
  • Do not place near other heat sources.
  • Connect to a grounded socket only.
  • Do not place the heater directly under a wall socket.
  • Do not use the product on a mobile socket.
  • Do not immerse the product in water.
  • Do not subject the product to water jets.
  • Do not obstruct or cover the product’s air inlet or outlet grid.
  • Do not insert any objects into the product.
  • Do not use solvents to clean the product.
  • Only plug the cable into a wall outlet. Do not use extension cords.
  • Keep the power cable away from the outlet grid.
  • Do not use the product when the cord or plug is damaged.
  • Do not pull the power cord to shut down the heater, always use the on/off switch.
  • Do not pull the power cord to move the product.
  • Fully extend the power cord and make sure the power cord does not contact the product.
  • In case of failure, shut down the heater, unplug the power cord and have it serviced by a qualified technician.

Installation

  •  Check that all parts are present and that no damage is visible on the parts. If parts are missing or damaged, contact the Nedis B.V. service desk via the website:  www.nedis.com.
  • Determine whether you want the heater to be movable with wheels or to be mounted on the wall.
Mobile heater

1. Place  A 1 upside down.

2. Place  A 7 on the bottom of  A 1.

  • Make sure the screw holes are aligned.

3. Use a screw driver to mount  A 7 to  A 1.

4. Turn the heater upright and plug the power cord in a grounded wall socket.

Wall mounted heater

WARNING

  • Mount the product at least 150 mm from the floor and at least 500 mm from the ceiling.
  • Do not mount the product directly under a wall socket.
  • Check whether the wall can hold the weight of the product.
  • Use anchors suitable for your type of wall only.

 1. Drill 2 holes, as indicated in image  D.

2. Insert the anchors  A 6.

3. Insert the screws  A 5, let them protrude 6 mm from the wall.

4. Hang the heater on the wall.

5. Plug the power cord in a wall socket.

Use

 The product will switch off automatically when overheating.

Setting date and time

1. Turn on the power switch  A 4.

2. Press  B 3 to turn on the heater.

3. Press  B 4 to turn on the display.

4. Press  B 7 to open the date and time setting.

5. Press  B 7 for 3 seconds to change the time.

6. Press  B 5 or  B 8 to change the hour.

7. Press  B 7 for 3 seconds.

8. Press  B 5 or  B 8 to change the minutes.

9. Press  B 4 to confirm the time and exit or wait for 5 seconds.

Operating mode

ECO mode

|

Power is maximized at 1000 W, resulting in slower heating.

Comfortable mode

|

Power is maximized at 2000 W, resulting in faster heating.

Anti-frost mode

|

Activate heater when temperature drops below 5 °C. The heater returns to standby mode when the temperature has reached 9 °C.

Window open mode

|

Set heater to standby mode when the temperature drops by 5 °C within 10 minutes.

  • Press  B 4 to switch between Eco Mode, Comfortable Mode or Anti-Frost Mode.
  • Press B 4 for 3 seconds to activate the Window Open Mode.
Setting the temperature manually
  • Press  B 5 or  B 8 to change the temperature.
Programming the heater

The heater can be programmed to switch on and off automatically at set times. Up to 6 intervals with different temperatures can be set per day.

1. Press  B 6 for 3 seconds.

2. Press  B 7.

3. Press  B 5 or  B 8 to change the day (1 – 7: Monday – Sunday).

4. Press  B 7 and use  B 5 and  B 8 to select 1 of 6 possible intervals for this day.

5. Press  B 7 to edit the interval.

  • B l lights up on the display and  B a shows the selected on and off times.

6. Press  B 5 or  B 8 to change the starting hour.

  • Press  B 7 to confirm.

7. Press  B 5 or  B 8 to change the starting minute in steps of 10.

  • Press  B 7 to confirm.

8. Press  B 5 or  B 8 to change the stopping hour.

  • Press  B 7 to confirm.

9. Press  B 5 or  B 8 to change the stopping minute in steps of 10.

  • Press  B 7 to confirm.

10. Press  B 5 or  B 8 to change the temperature.

  • Press  B 7 to confirm.

11. Repeat for every desired interval.

12. Repeat for every desired day.

  • Stored settings will be lost after a power cut.
Child lock
  • When activated, the child lock prevents operations on the control panel.
  • To activate the child lock, press  B 5 and  B 8 simultaneously for 3 seconds. The child lock symbol on the display  B  j lights up.
  • To deactivate the child lock, press  B 5 and  B 8 again simultaneously for 3 seconds. The child lock symbol on the display disappears.
Using the remote

The remote control can only be used when the heater is not running in programmed mode.

1. Open the lid on the backside of the remote and install 2 AAA batteries.

2. The remote is now ready for use. For button explanation, see image  B.

Use with Nedis SmartLife App

Install the SmartLife app:

1. Download the Nedis SmartLife app for Android or iOS on your phone via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

2. Open the Nedis SmartLife app on your phone.

3. Create an account with your mobile phone number or your e-mail address and tap  Continue.

4. You will receive a verification code on your mobile phone or e-mail address.

5. Enter the received verification code.

6. Create a password and tap  Done.

7. Tap  Add Home  to create a SmartLife Home.

8. Set your location, choose the rooms you want to connect with and tap  Done.

Connect the product to the Nedis SmartLife app

1. Switch on the heater using power switch  A 4.

2. Tap  +  in the Nedis SmartLife app.

3. Select the device type you want to add from the list.

4. Confirm the indicator LED  B 2 is blinking fast, or hold the + button B 5 for 5 seconds to reset the heater.

5. Follow the instructions in the Nedis SmartLife app.

  • Make sure you connect the heater to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

6. After adding the product, you can rename it and assign it to a room. After confirming you can control the heater with your smart phone.

Tap to switch the heater on or off. The heater will heat up a room to the set temperature.

4. Mode

Tap and select the desired operating mode (4.2).

5. Pencil

Tap to change the details of the heater.

6. Eco mode

Shows the current mode.

7. Temperature

|

Displays the current and the set temperature.

8. + and –

|

Use  F 8 to set the desired temperature between 10 and 49 °C. The current and set temperature are shown in  F 7. The heater will heat up the room up to the set temperature.

9. Settings

Tap to lock the heater, switch to  Open window mode (4.2) or enter the Timer menu and program the heater on a weekly base.

10. Countdown timer

|

Tap to open. Select 1 up to 4 hours to set the duration of heating.

Use in combination with smart speakers.

To connect your SmartLife account to Amazon Alexa and/or Google Home, set it up using the “Smart Life” action or skill. For more details check the instruction on either Amazon or Google.

Maintenance

  •  Before cleaning and maintenance, switch off the product and disconnect the power. Let the product cool down for 10 minutes.
  • Clean the product regularly with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Avoid abrasives that can damage the surface.
  • Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid or acetone when cleaning the product.
  • Wait until residue moist is fully dry before reconnecting the power.
  • Disconnect the power when the heater is not used for a longer period of time. Cover the heater to avoid accumulation of dust in the vents. Store in a dry place.

 Any changes and/or modifications to the product will void the warranty. We accept no liability for damage caused by improper use of the product.
