 Intended use

The Nedis ACMB2WT9 is a mobile air conditioner used for cooling and dehumidifying rooms.

The product is exclusively intended as a mobile air conditioner for domestic, indoor use.

Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

Safety instructions

WARNING

  • Thoroughly read all warnings.
  • This user manual is addressed to the end user. Read this information carefully before installing or using the product.
  • Only use the product as described in this manual.
  • This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
  • Close supervision is necessary when the product is used by or near children, animals or infirm persons. Do not allow children to play with it or touch it.
  • Keep the product out of reach from children.
  • Do not use a damaged or defective product, but return it for repair or replacement.
  • Do not expose the product to water, rain, moisture or high humidity.
  • If the product is immersed in water, do not touch the product or the water.
  • Shut off the main power grid and carefully remove the plug from the power outlet.
  • After the product has been immersed or covered in water or other liquids, do not use the product again.
  • Keep the product away from heat sources. Do not place the product on hot surfaces or near open flames.
  • Do not use the product near explosive or flammable materials.
  • Do not insert any objects into the product.
  • Do not obstruct or cover the product’s air inlet or outlet grid.
  • Always disconnect the product from the power outlet when cleaning or moving the product.
  • Do not pull the power cable to move the product.
  • This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • Disconnect the product from the power outlet and other equipment if problems occur.
  • Turn off the main power switch before unplugging the power cord.
  • Do not use the product when the cord or plug is damaged.
  • Make sure that the electrical supply in your area matches a voltage of 220 – 240 VAC and a frequency of 50 Hz.
  • Connect to a grounded socket only.
  • If necessary, use an earthed extension cable of a suitable diameter.
  • Fully extend the power cord and make sure the power cord does not contact the product.
  • When using an extension cord, use one which is as short as possible and fully extended.
  • Do not use external timers or remote control systems to switch the product on or off.
  • Ensure people do not trip over the cord.
  • Make sure that the power cable cannot become entangled and does not hang over the edge of a worktop.
  • Do not leave the product unattended when switched on.
  • R290 is a refrigerant gas that complies with the European directives on the environment.
  • Be aware that refrigerants can be odorless.
  • Place the product in an area without any continuous sources of ignition (for example: open flames, gas or electrical appliances in operation).
  • Only install, operate and store the product in a room with a floor area above 11 m2.
  • Only store the product in a well-ventilated area.
  • Store the product in such a way as to prevent mechanical failure.
  • When the product is installed, operated or stored in a non-ventilated area, make sure the room is designed to prevent the accumulation of refrigerant leaks resulting in a risk of fire or explosion due to ignition of the refrigerant caused by electric heaters, stoves, or other sources of ignition.
  • Only persons with a current valid certificate from an industry-accredited assessment authority, which authorizes their competence to handle refrigerants safely in accordance with an industry recognized assessment specification, can work on or break into a refrigerant circuit.
  • Servicing can only be performed as recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Maintenance and repair requiring the assistance of other skilled personnel can only be carried out under the supervision of the person competent in the use of flammable refrigerants.
  • When defrosting and cleaning the product, do not use any means other than those recommended by the manufacturing company.
  • Do not puncture or heat any part of the refrigerant circuit.

Installation

  •  Check that all parts are present and that no damage is visible on the parts. If parts are missing or damaged, contact the Nedis B.V. service desk via the website:  www.nedis.com.
  • Place the product on a flat, level surface.
  • Only move the product in an upright position.
  • Leave a minimum of 0.5 m space around the air inlet and outlet to allow a good circulation of airflow.
  • If the product has been tilted, allow it to stand upright for 2 hours before plugging it in.
Assembling the exhaust

  • Only use the provided exhaust hose.
  • Do not block the exhaust hose, this may cause overheating.

1. See image B.

2. Assemble the window kit  A11  the fasteners  A13.

3. Install  A11  in the window opening.

4. Tighten  A13.

5. Assemble the exhaust hose  A 8, the exhaust nozzle  A 9 and the exhaust hose connector  A10.

6. Connect  A10  the air outlet  A 6.

7. Extend  A 8 up to 1500 mm.

  • Do not twist the exhaust hose.
  • Ensure that the exhaust hose does not kink.

8. Snap  A 9 into  A11  and fasten with the exhaust nozzle screw A14.

Assembling the continuous drainage (optional)

1. Open the continuous drainage outlet  A 5.

2. Connect  A 5 to a water container or drainage system (not included).

Manual drainage

1. C 4 flashes and the product emits an alarm sound to indicate that the water reservoir is full.

2. Switch off the product using  C 7

3. Unplug  A 7.

4. Place a water container underneath  A 4.

5. Unscrew the manual drainage cap.

6. Remove the water plug.

7. Slightly tilt the product backwards to ensure all water leaves the reservoir.

8. Put back the plug and screw the drainage cap back on.

Maintenance

Clean the product regularly as follows:

1. Switch off and unplug the product when not in use or before maintenance.

2. Pull off the grids  E 1.

3. Remove the filter screens  E 2 from  E 1.

4. Clean  E 2 in warm water (about 40 °C) with a neutral detergent.

5. Rinse and dry  E 2 in the shade.

6. Put back  E 2 in  E 1.

7. Put back  E 1 together with  E 2.

8. Clean the outside of the product with a soft, clean, lightly damp cloth.

Note: Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid, acetone or gasoline when cleaning the product.

Store the product as follows:

1. Drain the product.

2. Press  C 7 to switch on the product.

3. Press  C 8 followed by  C 9 to switch to low fan speed operation.

4. Wait until  A 4 is dry.

5. Switch off the product.

6. Unplug the product.

7. Remove the batteries from  A e during long periods of disuse to avoid possible leakage.

8. Store the product in a dry place away from sunlight and protect it against excessive dust and dirt.

Any changes and/or modifications to the product will void the warranty. We accept no liability for damage caused by improper use of the product.
