Instructions for Installation and Care of Kawasaki 2010 Teryx Full Cab
Enclosure With Folding Lexan Windshield: KAW-10TERYX-FC03
CAUTION: Do not smoke inside the cab or expose the enclosure to direct
flames. The product is FLAMMABLE. Be sure to read these instructions
thoroughly before opening and installing the enclosure. The installation is
best done when the ambient temperature is 70°F or warmer. If installed in cold
weather, warming the adhesive Velcro strips before installation is
recommended.
-
Carefully open the carton and unroll the enclosure onto a large flat surface that is clean and free of dirt or other material that may soil or scratch the vinyl windows.
-
It will help to raise the bed and remove the seats prior to installing the cab enclosure.
-
Check over the parts included in the cartons with the parts list shown below:
Soft Cab Enclosure
Velcro hook strips| 2 each| 12” long
---|---|---
Velcro hook strips| 2 each| 10” long
Velcro hook strips| 12 each| 3” long
Velcro hook strips| 1 each| 50” long
Snap studs| 13 each (1| 1 each
Cab enclosure| 1 each| -
Before installing the cab, install the two 10” strips behind the seats and the two 12” strips approximately 3” below the seat belt mounts (shown in Figs. below). Clean the
area with rubbing alcohol; let dry and apply the Velcro hook strip.
-
After attaching the Velcro, loosely drape the cab enclosure over the roll cage. While pulling down on the backside of the door pull the 12” Velcro tab around and attach to the adhesive strip in Fig. A. You may have to adjust the tabs so that the rear panel is centered or the door zippers may be difficult to close.
-
Next, reach in and pull the bottom of the rear panel down to attach to the two 10” adhesive strips pictured in Fig. B. Reinstall the seats.
-
Now move to the front of the enclosure to install the adhesive Velcro strips on either side of the door. Pull the front of the door down and mark where the strips are going to go. Start at the top with the 8” strip then the 4”(see Figs. C& E). At the bottom, you will see four double-sided Velcro strips that wrap around the roll cage tube. This is where you will use the 6” strips to wrap around the bar and then wrap the double-sided strap around that similar to Fig. D. Do not wrap the tabs on the enclosure too far around the bar, as this will cause the edges to be under the windshield. You may have to adjust positioning or door zippers may be difficult to close.
-
Pull down the bottom of the doors and mark the locations for the snaps. The front of the door goes inside the foot well as shown in fig. F. Screw the snaps into the plastic where previously marked and snap the doors on. If using a drill/driver to install snap studs, work slowly and use a lighter clutch setting so as to not overtighten and strip out the hole.
-
Once the soft cab is installed you are ready to install the Lexan windshield according to the separate instructions provided.
-
To open and stow the doors, move the zipper fully rearward and fold the bottom portion of the doors up. Then begin to form a vertical roll with the door by rolling it inward from the front edge toward the rear of the door. Secure in place using the Velcro straps provided at that location. Try to form a roll approximately 2” in diameter to ensure that the door will not protrude while stowed.
Cleaning and Storage Recommendations
- Before removing the enclosure for storage, make sure it is clean and dry, to prevent soiling the textile and scratching the clear vinyl windows. Clean with a soft rag or sponge using a mild liquid detergent soap and warm water solution. Let the enclosure dry thoroughly before attempting to roll it for storage.
- It is important that the enclosure be rolled up for storage rather than folding. Folding will cause undesirable creasing of both the enclosure textile and the clear vinyl windows. Carefully roll up the enclosure similar to the way it was when it was packed at the factory. Put the rolled enclosure back into the carton for storage at normal room temperature. It is best not to expose the enclosure to either extremely hot or cold temperatures when storing
- A special cleaner/conditioner is available from Falcon Ridge that will greatly increase the service life of the cab enclosure. If needed, additional hook and loop sets are available, as well as other spare parts and hardware. Contact Falcon Ridge for information.
- Transporting or trailering your UTV with the enclosure installed is not generally recommended. It is best to remove the enclosure before transporting your UTV.
Thank you for your purchase!
