how to operate the appliance
ADJUSTING THE TEMPERATURE
With the temperature adjusting knob you are able to adjust the appliances
temperature. Also use the adjusting knob to activate the Supercool function
.
The standard setting of the temperature is the middle point.
The appliance will cool continuously until the set temperature has been
reached. Allow the appliance to reach the required temperature with no food in
the larder. Usually this will take 2 to 3 hours. After that, you can set the
required temperature and fill the refrigerator with food.
Repeatedly press the knob until the indicator light of the required
temperature lights up. It may be set to any value ranging from MIN to MAX and
supercool mode. As you press temperature set button from MIN to MAX, the
temperature decreases. If you press the adjusting knob until the indicator
light of supercool lights up, it will start to flash after 3 seconds.
supercool is now active.
ALARM
If there is a problem with the refrigerator, the indicator light for the alarm
will light up. Check what the problem could be
in chapter 7.
SUPERCOOL
When can supercool be used?
- If you want to cool large quantities of food
- If you want to cool food quickly
- If you want to store seasonal vegetables properly for a longer period of time
- Press the adjusting knob until the indicator light for supercool lights up. The light will remain on as long as supercool remains active.
- In order to make optimum use of the supercool setting, you must activate it 6 hours before placing the fresh food in the larder.
- You can deactivate supercool by pressing the adjusting knob once more.
supercool is deactivated automatically after 6 hours or when the temperature gets below 2°C.
Attention:
The ambient temperature, the temperature of the recently stored food and the
frequency by means of which the door is opened, have an effect on the
temperature in the larder. Take this into account when adjusting the
temperature.
- supercool is deactivated automatically after 6 hours or when the thermostat sensor gets below 2°C.
- You should never place hazardous, highly flammable or explosive substances such as alcohol, acetone or petrol in the larder, because there will be a hazard of explosion.
- A 5 minute delay function is used to prevent damage to the larder’s compressor when you remove the plug and insert it in the socket again to switch on the larder or during a power interruption. You larder starts working normally after 5 minutes.
The freezer compartment, marked with the symbol, is used for storing frozen food and freezing fresh or cooked food. It also allows the making of ice cubes.
Freshness instructions
When the slide for air humidity is closed, fresh vegetables and fruit can be
stored for a longer period of time.
If the vegetable drawer is completely full, the slide for air humidity at the
front of the vegetable drawer must be opened.
In this way you regulate the air and the air humidity in the vegetable drawer,
so that the storage time is increased.
If you see condensation on the glass plate above the vegetable drawer, you
must open the slide for air humidity.
MAXI FRESH
By means of the Maxi Fresh technology, ethylene and other unpleasant odours in
the vegetable drawer are absorbed. This means that food can be stored for a
longer period of time. Ethylene is a biological product that is naturally
released from fresh food such as vegetables and fruit.
- The Maxi Fresh must be cleaned once per year.
- Take the Maxi Fresh holder from the vegetable drawer and remove the back of the holder in the direction of the arrow as shown here.
- Clean the filter by placing it in an oven for 2 hours at 65°C.
- The filter may not be cleaned with water or any detergent.
When the filter needs replacing or when you have lost the filter, you can buy a new one from the Inventum webshop: https://www.inventum.eu/onderdelen/
ACCESSORIES
- Fill the ice tray with water and place it in the freezer compartment.
- After the water has completely turned into ice, you can twist the tray as shown below to get the ice cubes out of the tray.
food storage in the appliance
REFRIGERATOR COMPARTMENT
The refrigerator compartment is used for storing fresh food for a few days.
- Do not place food in direct contact with the rear wall of the refrigerator compartment. Leave some space around the food to allow the air to circulate.
- Do not place hot food or evaporating liquids in the refrigerator.
- Never introduce volatile, inflammable or explosive fluids such as alcohol, acetone or petrol because of the risk of explosion.
- Always store food in closed containers or wrapped. To reduce humidity and avoid formation of frost, never place liquids in unsealed containers in the refrigerator.
- Meat of all types, wrapped in packages, is recommended to be placed on the glass shelf just above the vegetable drawer, where the air is cooler.

- To avoid the cold air escaping, try not to open the door too often and not leave the door open for a long time.
FREEZER COMPARTMENT
The freezer compartment is used for freezing fresh foods and for storing
frozen foods for the period of time on the packaging and for making ice cubes.
- Do not freeze too large an amount of food at one time; the faster the food is frozen, the longer is preserves its qualities.
- Wrap and seal fresh food properly. The packaging should be air tight and shouldn’t leak.
- Place frozen food in the freezer compartment as soon as possible after purchase. Make sure that it doesn’t defrost during transport.
- The length of time you can keep food depends very much on the quality of the food.
- Always mark the date and the content on the pack and do not exceed the stated storage time.
- Do not store glass bottles or containers with liquids in the freezer which will freeze. The freezing may cause the bottles to break. Highly carbonated drinks can even explode. Never keep lemonade, fruit juice, beer, wine, champagne, etc. in the freezer.
- Once the food is thawed, it must not be refrozen: you must cook it as quickly as possible in order to consume or to freeze again.
- In case of a power failure or malfunction, the freezer compartment will maintain a sufficiently low temperature for food storage. However, avoid opening the door to slow down the temperature rise within the appliance.

cleaning & maintenance
Before cleaning the refrigerator always unplug the appliance.
Remove the food. Clean the interior of the appliance. Simply remove the
shelves, drawers and door compartments to clean them by hand. Do not clean the
interior accessories in the dishwasher. Use warm water and a neutral
detergent, such as baking soda, to prevent any bad smells occurring. Use two
tablespoons and a quart liter of warm water. After cleaning, rinse the
interior with clean water and leave the door open to let it air dry for 1 to 2
hours before the power is turned on. Be careful not to affect the electrical
insulation properties when rinsing with water.
For areas that are difficult to clean in the refrigerator, such as narrow gaps
or corners, it is recommended to wipe them regularly with a soft rag, soft
brush, etc. When necessary use some auxiliary tools, such as thin sticks
(tooth picks), to ensure no contamination can accumulate in these areas.
Clean the outside of the refrigerator and the door gasket with mild soap and
water. Use a soft moist cloth.
We recommend that you dust the back of the appliance and on the floor with a
cloth or vacuum cleaner once a year in order to maintain a good output and low
energy consumption.
Do not use hard brushes, cleaning steel wire balls, wire brushes, abrasives,
such as toothpastes, organic solvents (such as alcohol, acetone, oils, etc.),
boiling water, acid or alkaline items to clean the refrigerator considering
that this may damage the fridge surface and interior. Boiling water and
benzene may deform or damage plastic parts.
DEFROSTING THE FREEZER SECTION
The freezer section of this appliance is free from frost – no-frost.
If used correctly, no ice will be formed.
Dry and cold air is evenly distributed in the freezer and freezer compartments
by means of the fan.
Cold air distributed between the shelves will evenly cool all your food, as a
result of which humidity and frost are prevented.
If an ice layer is created after all, defrost the freezer section when the ice
layer has reached a thickness of 3 mm. Remove all products from the freezer
section. Store the frozen products on a cool location, packaged in newspapers
and blankets. Remove the plug from the socket and keep the door of the cooler
section closed while defrosting the freezer section.
Defrost the freezer section Defrosting can be accelerated by placing a tray
with hot water in the freezer section. Do not use sharp metal objects to
scrape the freezer section clean, use a plastic ice scraper.
Clean and dry the freezer section. Insert the plug in the socket and set the
thermostat to the required setting. Place the frozen products back in the
freezer section once it has reached the required temperature.
Warning Never remove ice with sharp objects, defrosting sprays, a hair dryer,
a heater or something similar. This could lead to unsafe situations and cause
irreparable damage to the appliance.

This appliance is equipped with LED lighting. It can be used for a long time.
In case, if the LED lighting is blown, it must be replaced by a qualified
person to avoid any hazard. Contact the Inventum service department.
TIPS
- High ambient temperatures have a negative effect on energy use. Keep the refrigerator in a position away from direct sunlight or other sources of heat.
- Keep ventilation openings free. Clogged openings lead to higher use of energy.
- Try not to open the door too often, especially when the weather is wet and hot. Once you open the door, mind to close it as soon as possible.
- The space between the shelves and the rear wall of the refrigerator compartment must be unobstructed to allow the cool air to circulate. Therefore don’t place any food items against the back.
- Turn the thermostat to a lower setting when the circumstances allow it.
- Before storing fresh cooked food, make sure the food has cooled at least to room temperature.
- Ice and frost layer increase energy consumption, so clean the appliance as soon as the layer is 3 to 5 mm thick.
- If the gasket is damaged or if it turns out that the sealing is poor, the energy consumption is substantially higher.
- Keep the condensor on the rear wall always clean, free of dust or any impurities.
- Always consider the instructions, otherwise the energy consumption is substantially higher.
- If you do not use the appliance for a longer period of time (e.g. during holidays), switch the thermostat off. Defrost and clean the larder. Leave the doors slightly open to prevent moulds and smells.
