After unpacking the appliance, check it for external damage that may have occurred during transport.

Place the hot plate on a sturdy, flat and heat-resistant surface. Clean the hot plate with a slightly damp cloth. The cook plate(s) is/are provided with a protective layer that must be removed prior to first use. This is done by turning on the cook plate at maximum level for approximately 4 to 5 minutes. Light smoke may form due to the protective layer burning off the cook plate.
After removing the protective layer you can switch off the cook plate or start using it.

use

Make sure the thermostat button is on the «MIN» position before the appliance is switched on. Insert the plug in the socket.
Turn the thermostat knob to the right, to the required position. The accompanying indicator led will light up.
Position «MIN» of the cook plate is the lowest position and position «MAX» is the highest position.
Use a low position [ MIN to 4 ] for simmering and a higher position [ 5 tot MAX ] for boiling and frying.

The thermostat button is a stepless control.
MIN = low
1-4 = keep warm-simmer

It takes approximately 10 minutes for the cook plate to reach maximum temperature (on the maximum setting of the thermostat knob).
When the temperature that belongs to the set position is reached, the indicator led switches off. After a drop in temperature, heat transfer to the pan, the thermostat switches on again. The indicator led will light up again.
Due to the construction of the hot plate, it remains hot for some time after switching off. This residual heat can be used to keep the food warm for a short period of time.

CAUTION: THE APPLIANCE CAN GET VERY HOT DURING USE, THEREFORE PLACE THE APPLIANCE DURING USE ON A HEATRESISTANT PLATE AND NEVER, FOR EXAMPLE, ON A PLASTIC TABLE, PLASTIC TABLE CLOTH OR REFRIDGERATOR.

Only use pans with bottoms that have the same diameter as the hot plate itself. Smaller diameters lead to loss of energy.
