Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this quality product. To minimize the risk of injury
we urge that our clients take some basic safety precautions when using this
device. Please read the operation instruc-tions carefully and make sure you
have understood its content.
Keep these operation instructions safe.
Use and assembly instructions
- The single-step pressure regulator for liquid gasses enables for pressure to stay in a constant flow and disables fluctuation of the gas stream. Thus, a constant pressure is created at the outlet of the pressure regulator. The pressure regulator is directly attached to the gas cylinder valve. Please ensure that the gas cylinder is always in an upright (vertical) position.
- Please read all of the following instructions and notes for mounting, operating and monitoring notes.
Technical data (I)
Operating medium | Liquid gas (gaseous) |
---|---|
Inlet | Connection for pressurized gas cylinder with a filling weight of |
max. 11 kg
Outlet| Hose line, outlet pressure set to 50 mbar (see type plate), G¼ A
-LH-KN connection piece with 45° internal cone
Application and assembly instructions
- Check if the pressure regulator comes in a flawless condition before mounting it.
- The assembly of the hose line only is allowed to be carried out with a spanner with matching size.
- Before assembling the pressure regulator, there needs to be a visual check to know if any metal shavings or residues are in the connections.
- Metal shavings or any other residues need to be removed absolutely to eliminate any possible malfunctions.
- The regulator needs to be mounted free of tension (without bending stress or turning of the regulator).
- The gaskets need to be always clean and cannot be used if damaged.
- The wing nut and the knurled nut only need to be attached to the pressure regulator by hand. Do not use any tools for this.
Leak check
- All isolation valves of the end use equipment need to be closed and the gas cylinder opened.
- Then check all the connections with the help of soapy water.
Commissioning
- The regulator can be used immediately after mounting and passing the check on leakage.
- The pressure regulator can be put into operation by opening the valve of the gas cylinder slowly into the direction of the arrow.
- During operation the gas cylinder must not be moved.
- The regulator always needs to be protected from weathering influences.
- The pressure regulator needs to be exchanged prior to its 10th year after its manufacturing date.
- If the pressure regulator is to be standing for longer periods without use, the gas cylinder valve needs to be closed entirely.
- Liquid gas is a highly flammable substance! Always follow rules and regulations when handling liquid gas.
Placing out of operation
The gas cylinder valve needs to be turned in the direction of the arrow.
Connecting the pressure regulator to the end use equipment
- Attach the rubber hose (EN 16436 or DIN 4815–2) with the 2 connection nuts or a PVC hose (DIN 4813) (3) with connection nuts to the external thread of the pressure regulator. Then con-nect the opposite end of the gas hose with the end use equipment.
- The connection nuts of the gas hose (4) should be fastened with a spanner, so that a leakproof connection between pressure regulator and end use equipment can be ensured. Please check the impermeability of the connections in any case with the use of soapy water.
Caution! The pressure regulator is not suitable for camper vans and caravans!
Connecting the pressure regulator to the gas cylinder
- Ensure that
- all gas taps are closed on the end use equipment;
- the connection to the end use equipment is attached correctly.
- Remove the gas cylinder protection cap. Ensure that there is no open flame close by. After ensuring that the gasket (5) is placed on the valve outlet (7) and is fully operational, fasten the connecting nut.
- Please pay attention to the direction of the arrow (10). The connection nut should be fastened moderately, nevertheless creating a leakproof connection. Check the connection with soapy water anyway. To fasten the connecting nut, hold the pressure regulator in place and fasten the connecting nut. The pressure regulator itself should never be turned.
Operating the pressure regulator
If the pressure regulator is installed correctly, the gas can be opened by
turning the valve of the gas cylinder in the direction of the arrow (11). To
stop the gas flow, turn the valve into the opposite direction.
Exchange of the gas cylinder
- Ensure that
- all gas taps are closed on the end use equipment;
- that the hand shut-off valve is closed.
- Then dismantle the pressure regulator by loosening the connecting nut (9).
Caution!
- Under normal conditions, we recommend exchanging the pressure regulator within 10 years after its manufacturing date to ensure the correct operation of the installation.
- When the pressure regulator is installed downstream of other pressure regulators, the supply pressure needs to be the highest at the top and then become lower downstream.
- The pressure drop of the downstream installation may not exceed the ∆P value marked on the device.
- Pressure regulators directly connected to the tank or cylinder pressure and not connected to an outlet of the tank or cylinder valve need to be installed in the following manner: The pressure regulator should not be installed lower than the tank or cylinder outlet valve to ensure that gas-ses led into the pressure regulator cannot liquefy again. Pipes and hoses connected to the pressure regulator outlet need to slope continuously towards the tank or cylinder.
