 Thank you for purchasing the Nedis RDFM4010WT.

This document is the user manual and contains all the information for correct, efficient and safe use of the product.

This user manual is addressed to the end user. Read this information carefully before installing or using the product.

Always store this information with the product for use in the future.

Product description

Intended use

This product is an FM radio that can be mounted under a cabinet to save valuable workspace.

The product is intended for indoor use only.

The product is not intended for professional use.

This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.

The product is intended for use in household environments for typical housekeeping functions that may also be used by non-expert users for typical housekeeping functions, such as: shops, offices other similar working environments, farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments and/or in bed and breakfast type environments.

Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

  • Only use the product as described in this document.
  • Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective product immediately.
  • Do not drop the product and avoid bumping.
  • This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • Do not expose the product to water or moisture.
  • Disconnect the product from the power source before service and when replacing parts.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.
  • The power cable cannot be replaced. If the cable is damaged the product should be scrapped.
  • Battery usage by children should be supervised.
  • Remove the batteries if you do not use the product for an extended period of time.
  • Unplug the product if you do not plan on using the product for an extended period of time.
  • Do not use the product near water.
  • When the product is not used for an extended period, store the product in a dry place away from sunlight and protect it against excessive dust and dirt.
  • Do not expose the product to direct sunlight, naked flames or heat.
  • Do not put hands and foreign objects inside the product.
  • Keep the product away from magnetic or magnetized objects.
  • To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods.
  • Do not use any accessories that are not included.
  • Do not install the product under a cupboard with a lighting strip installed underneath.
  • Do not install the product above places where steam and water can get in contact with the product.
  • Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid or acetone when cleaning the product.
  • Do not open the product.

Installation

  • Check the contents of the package
  • Check that all parts are present and that no damage is visible on the parts. If parts are missing or damaged, contact the Nedis B.V. service desk via the website: www.nedis.com.
Inserting the batteries (image  B )

1. Open the battery compartment A14.

2. Insert 2 AA batteries (not included).

  • Make sure to match the (+) and (-) polarity markings.

3. Close A14.

Installing the product under cupboard (image  C )

  • The cupboard floor thickness should be at least 8 mm.
Install the product close to a power outlet.
  • Use a screwdriver to fix the screws.
  • Use the optional feet for thin cabinet floors.
  • Do not plug the power cable into the power outlet during the installation.
  • Do not use any accessories that are not included.
  • Do not install the product under a cupboard with a lighting strip installed underneath.
  • Do not install the product above places where steam and water can get in contact with the product.

Use

Controlling the product
  • Press the up button A4 or down button Ar to adjust values.
  • Press the program button A2 to confirm the selected value.
Switching on the product
  • Plug the power cable Ae into the power outlet.
  • The product switches on automatically.
  • Set the time within one minute after powering by adjusting the values and confirming.

1. Press A9 to switch to FM mode.

2. Turn A5 to adjust the volume.

3. Press A4 or Ar to adjust the FM frequency manually.

Entering standby mode
  • In standby mode the display will switch off automatically between 23:00 and 4:59. Press A9 to switch on the display for 5 seconds.
  • Press A9 to switch the radio to standby mode.
  • Press A9 again to switch off standby mode.
Setting the time and alarm

1. Switch the product to standby mode.

2. Press and hold A2.

  • 12H or 24H shows on the display.

3. Select one and confirm.

4. Set the current hours and confirm.

5. Set the current minutes and confirm.

  • The alarm icon shows on the display and the hour digits will start to flash.

6. Set the hours for your alarm and confirm.

7. Set the minutes for your alarm and confirm.

  • BUZZ shows on the display.

8. Select BUZZ for a buzzer or TUNE for radio as alarm and confirm.

  • U shows on the display when choosing TUNE.

9. Adjust the volume with A4 / A13 and confirm.

Switching the alarm on/off

1. Press A2 to switch the alarm function on or off.

  • An alarm icon shows on the display when the alarm is on.
  • When the alarm goes off, press A9 to switch off the alarm.
Saving radio presets

1. Press and hold A4 or A13 to search for a station automatically.

2. Press and hold A2 until the frequency starts to change to save stations automatically.

  • The radio can store up to 20 radio stations.

3. Press A2 to start selecting a saved station.

  • P shows on the display.

4. Press A4 or A13 to select a stored station and press A2 to confirm and start listening.

Setting the timer
  • There are five options: 3 / 5 / 10 / 15 minutes or a custom timer.

To set a preset timer:

  • Turn the timer wheel A1 to one of the preset times.

To set a custom timer:

1. Press and hold A5 for 5 seconds.

2. Turn A5 to the desired time.

3. Press A5 to confirm.

Stopping the timer

To pause, stop or adjust a custom timer:

  • Press and hold A5 for 5 seconds to pause the timer.
  • Press A13 once to stop the timer.
  • Turn A5 to adjust the timer.

Maintenance

  •  Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid or acetone when cleaning the product.
  • Do not open the product.
  • Clean the product regularly with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Avoid abrasives that can damage the surface.

Warranty

 Any changes and/or modifications to the product will void the warranty. We accept no liability for damage caused by improper use of the product.

This product is designed for private use (normal domestic use) only. Nedis is not responsible for wear, defect and/or damages caused by commercial use of the product.
