SAFETY CONDITIONS IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS ON SAFETY OF USE PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
The warranty conditions are different if the device is used for commercial purposes.

  1. Before using the product please read carefully and always comply with the following instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible for any damages due to any misuse.

  2. The product is only to be used indoors. Do not use the product for any purpose that is not compatible with its application.

  3. The applicable voltage is 220-240V, ~50/60Hz. For safety reasons, it is not appropriate to connect multiple devices to one power outlet.

  4. Please be cautious when using children. Do not let the children play with the product. Do not let children or people who do not know the device use it without supervision.

  5. WARNING: This device may be used by children over 8 years of age and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or persons without experience or knowledge of the device, only under the supervision of a person responsible for their safety, or if they were instructed on the safe use of the device and are aware of the dangers associated with its operation. Children should not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance of the device should not be carried out by children unless they are over 8 years of age and these activities are carried out under supervision.

  6. After you are finished using the product always remember to gently remove the plug from the power outlet holding the outlet with your hand. Never pull the power cable!!!

  7. Never put the power cable, the plug, or the whole device into the water. Never expose the product to atmospheric conditions such as direct sunlight or rain, etc. Never use the product in humid conditions.

  8. Periodically check the power cable condition. If the power cable is damaged the product should be turned to a professional service location to be replaced in order to avoid
    hazardous situations.

  9. Never use the product with a damaged power cable or if it was dropped or damaged in any other way or if it does not work properly. Do not try to repair the defective product yourself because it can lead to electric shock. Always turn the damaged device to a professional service location in order to repair it. All the repairs can be done only by authorized service professionals. The repair that was done incorrectly can cause hazardous situations for the user.

  10. Never put the product on or close to hot or warm surfaces or the kitchen appliances like the electric oven or gas burner.

  11. Never use the product close to combustibles.

  12. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a counter or touch hot surfaces.

  13. Never leave the product connected to the power source without supervision. Even when use is interrupted for a short time, turn it off from the network, and unplug the power.

  14. In order to provide additional protection, it is recommended to install a residue current device (RCD) in the power circuit, with a residual current rating of not more than 30 mA.
    Contact a professional electrician in this matter.

  15. Do not use near water, or in damp rooms.

  16. Do not use near flammable materials.

  17. Do not spray the device with any chemicals.

  18. Do not insert any objects into the lamp.

  19. Do not cover the device – it can cause a fire.

  20. The device should be cleaned regularly with dead insects.

Dangerous high voltage, the insect-killing device should be kept away and out of reach of the children!

Warning:

  1. Do not intend to touch the internal high voltage grids while working which may cause the danger of electric shock. Never put any metal object inside the grids while working. Do not touch the high-voltage grids with fingers or metal.
  2. Not suitable for use in garages, stables, and alike where the dust density in the air can be high.
  3. Do not use the device in inflammable or explosive locales and alike.

Assembling

  1. Install the device at a height of at least 2 meters on the wall so that children cannot reach it.
  2. Mark the holes in the plastic hanger (10) on the wall with a pencil. Drill holes in the wall, and install the supplied wall plugs (11). Screw the wall plastic hanger (10) with the included screws (12).
  3. Hang the device by matching the hanging plate (7) with the wall plastic hanger (10).
  4. It is best to choose a location close to the doors or windows but without direct wind power flows, or another place you had observed the insects flying often before. Location is important for efficiency.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

The device attracts insects with UV light with a UV wavelength of 365nm, insects fly inside the device, then touch the high voltage metal grid (4) causing insects to die. Plug the device into an electric socket before switching on the light or switching off all the strong lights for 10-20 minutes suddenly. Use the device away from places with wind power,  strong UV ray, and other fluorescent lamp irradiation and also far away from the children could reach. Do not put your hands on the device or carry it while it is running.

USE

  1. Make sure that your local voltage and frequency are suitable for the device. Ensure the earth-connection works properly to prevent damage or danger.
  2. Insert the plug into the socket. Turn on the device by pulling the rope switch (9), the UV light lamps (3) will illuminate on and the device works.
  3. Pull the rope switch (9) again, the UV light lamps will switch off.
  4. Unplug the socket.

PROCEDURE TO CHANGE THE LAMP

  1. Turn off and unplug the device from a socket. Take out it from the plastic hanger (10).
  2. Unscrew the lamp casing (8) in the rear of the device with a screw driver. Take out the lamp casing (8) and rotate the UV lamp (3) to take it out from the lamp holder.
  3.  Insert the new lamp and rotate it to fix it in place. Screw the lamp casing (8) again.
  4.  Place the device on the wall plastic hanger (10) and switch on it to continue operation.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Before cleaning or maintenance, unplug the device and allow it to cool down.
  2. Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents for cleaning. Wipe the housing with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
  3. Every week clean the tray (5) from dead insect bodies by sliding out the tray. Empty the collecting tray and slide in again.
  4. Clean the dead insects from the front net (2) and the high voltage metal grid (4) with a soft brush, when the device is unplugged and leave it for 10 minutes. The dead insects won’t affect the function, but it’s better to clean the grid while a lot of insects on it.
  5. Make sure the device is dry before switching it on again.
