DY 0908 / DY 0916
Multiswitch 9 in x, cascade & stand alone
- Cascadable multiswitch for the distribution of eight satellite polarisations and terrestrial signals
- Useable as a stand-alone device (DG 55 power supply required)
- Stand-by function with connected power supply, optional permanent operation
- Passive terrestrial path to distribute DVB-T/T2, DAB and FM without an additional amplifier
- Integrated SAT amplifier for low insertion loss
- Pre-emphasis to compensate the cable loss at high frequencies
- High screening efficiency according to Class A
- Stackable chassis for space-saving installation of various devices
- Color-coded inputs and outputs
Important Notes:
Please check the coaxial cables regarding the short circuit before starting!
The mounting ground should be:
- flame retardant
- dust-free
- protected against humidity
- not under direct impact of sunlight
- not adjacent to heating sources
Please check the input level of the SAT-lines: They should be nearly equal.
All installations and fixings of components should only be executed by skilled
people when the units are disconnected from the power source. Short-circuits
have to be avoided. The European and national standards and regulations for
the guarantee of electrical security have to be considered as well as the
national permissions and legal regulations for broadcast receiving systems!
A ground connection must be installed at the device (Ground connector) as well
as the satellite dish with at least 4 mm² cables
Grounding and Potential Equalization Pursuant to EN 50 083-1 the satellite
antenna system must comply with safety requirements, i.e., grounding and
potential equalization.
Application:
This multiswitch is used for the distribution of 8 SAT-IF-Polarizations (e.g. ASTRA and EUTELSAT) from two QUATTRO LNBs and terrestrial signals (active path). The selection of the IF-polarization is realized by the control signal 14/18 V (Vertical/Horizontal), 0/22 kHz (Low-, High-Band) and DiSEqC 2.0 by the connected receivers. The DY types can be powered by the external power supply unit DG 55 or through SAT–trunk lines from connected multi switches or amplifiers (please consider total current consumption). DC-blocks has to be considered to avoid power conflicts. Not used cascade outputs has to be equipped withDC-blocked terminating 75 Ohm resistors.
