Hood Pin Installation

If the vehicle can be remote started with the hood open, install the hood pin switch. Set function A11 to OFF if required.

Remote Start Operation:

Ensure safety elements are installed correctly.
Remote start operation may be limited if certain conditions are not met like an open hood, check engine light on, low fuel lighton, or low vehicle battery voltage.
Remote start is limited to two consecutive commands; ignition must be turned ON and OFF to use the remote start again.

Q: What should I do if the remote start does not operate?
A: Check if the hood is open, the hood pin switch is not present, the check engine light is ON, the low fuel light is ON, or if the vehicle battery voltage is too low.
