SAFETY INFORMATION
Read this instruction manual carefully before first use, and keep it for future reference.
- DO NOT expose this appliance to humidity, water or any other liquid.
- The appliance should be connected to a power supply as per specification in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.
- Place the device in a properly ventilated place. Protect the device from extreme temperatures, sources of heat and direct sunlight.
- Clean the unit’s exterior periodically with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Never use chemical agents to clean this device.
- Disconnect this device from power supply if it is not going to be used for a long period of time / Remove the batteries if the appliance is not to be used for a prolonged period.
- Do not disassemble the device. In case of damage, contact with an authorized service point for check-up/repair.
- Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be pinched by items placed upon or against them. Pay particular attention to cords, plugs, and power sockets and the point where they exit from the appliance. Fixed power cable may only be replaced in an authorized service point.

Battery installation
This precision engineered radio requires four”C”/UM-2 batteries (not
included). To install the 4 batteries, go to the rear bottom of the radio and
open the battery compartment door. Install the batteries as shown in the
diagram inside the battery compartment. Then put back the battery compartment
door.
WARNING : Wrong battery installation may damage this radio. Do not leave
weak batteries in the radio as they may leak and damage the radio. If the
batteries get weak, the radio will not work properly, then please replace with
new batteries.
AC operation
Plug into 230 V AC mains outlet.
NOTE : Batteries connection are cut off whenever AC plug is connected.
To turn on the radio
- Rotate the VOLUME CONTROL clockwise until the “click” sound is heard to tum the radio on.
- Switch the BAND SELECTOR to the desired band as follows:
- AM 530-1600 KHz
- FM 88-108 MHz
- Turn the TUNING CONTROL to locate a desired station.
- Adjust the volume to the desired level.
Reception information
AM : Rotate the entire unit for best reception.
FM : Adjust the height and position of the TELESCOPIC ANTENNA for best
reception.
Earphone socket
Your radio is equipped with a 3.5 mm Earphone jack socket, which is designed for private listening via earphones ( Not included )
Maintenance
Do not expose this radio to high temperatures as this could damage the radio, or cause reduced component life. Wipe the radio with a damp cloth. Use of detergents, abrasives, or solvents may damage the cabinet.
Operational check
If the radio does not operate properly, or does not operate at all, please make the following checks:
SYMPTOM:
Radio completely dead, or weak reception or distorted sound.
- CAUSE 1 : Battery contacts are dirty.
- SOLUTION : Remove batteries, clean contacts, then put back the batteries.
- CAUSE 2: Batteries are weak or dead.
- SOLUTION : Remove old batteries and replace with new batteries.
