Raymarine TA119 Tacktick 3-Up Battery Pack and Seal Kit
Instructions
Battery Replacement
Changing the battery invalidates the product warranty. If the unit lis still within warranty, we advise you return it under warranty, see www.raymarine.com.

Using the torx driver supplied, remove the screws retaining the battery cover.

Using a small tlat bladed screwdriver, starting at the notch in the case, carefully but firmly litt the battery cover, breaking the adhesive seal. Hepeat as required around tne perimeter of the battery cover until the seal Is fully released.

A Take care not to damage the case or sealing surface of the instrument.

Do not pull or jerk the battery Cover, this may damage tne conectol.

Disconnect the battery by gently pulling the plug sideways from the socket.

For the 2-up Battery Pack, there are two plugs and two sockets

Ensure the old adhesive seal is completely remoOved from the sealing surtace of the instrument arnd that the seal surtace is cleaned of old Seal material.

Using the pull tab, carefully peel the paper mask from the seal ot the new battery/battery cover assembly.
Note: lake care not to detach the seal from the battery cover. Do not touch the adnesive Surtace as contamination wilW degrade the seal. -
Connect the battery cable by gently inserting the plug into the socket. Ensure the plug iIS fully inserted. For the 2-up Battery Pack, it is not important which plug is inserted in which socket. The plug will only insert in the correct orientation (witn tne smal gold pips Tacing upwards)

Do not force the plug into the socket. lake care not fo touch or damage the seal while connecting the battery

Caretully place the battery/cover assembly intO position, until the adhesive on the seal grabs.

Ensure the seal is corectly located all round the battery cover

Ensure that the battery cables are not trapped under the seal.

Power on the instrument to ensure the battery is correctly installed.

Using the torx driver, fit the new retaining screWS and gently hand tighten until the battery cover is flush.

Do not over tighten or torce the screwS, this will damage the case of the instrument.
