SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Intended for indoor and outdoor use.
• The electrical installation must comply with local regulations. Consult an authorized electrician if in doubt.
• Always follow the electrical specifications on the product labeling.
• Always switch off the power supply before installation, connection, and maintenance.
• Never modify the product, this could result in serious personal injury and/or material damage and will invalidate the warranty.
• The product must be connected to an earthed power supply on installation.
• Do not use the product without the glass cover.
• The product gets very hot when it is switched on. Do not touch the product with bare hands.
• Switch off and allow the product to cool before replacing the light source.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

New installations and extensions to existing systems should always be carried out by an authorized electrician. If you have the necessary experience and knowledge (otherwise contact an electrician), you can replace power switches and wall sockets, fit plugs, extension cords, and light sockets. Incorrect installation can result in fatal injury and the risk of fire.

INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT: Disconnect the power supply before installation.

1. Pull the power supply wires through the entry in the base of the product.
2. Insert the wires in the supplied protective tubes. Make sure the protective tubes completely cover the wires to the bulb socket, from the safety ring to the safety plate on the socket.
3. Connect the wires to the socket. The casing must be connected to the earth.
4. Mount the base in the required place with expansion plugs and screws.
5. Insert a bulb with no more than the maximum output specified for the product.
6. Fit the glass cover and the guard on the base with the screws.

MAINTENANCE

NOTE:

• When the product is switched on the bulb gets very hot. Switch off the bulb and allow it to cool before touching it.
• Switch off the power supply before replacing the light source.

REPLACING THE LIGHT SOURCE

IMPORTANT: Switch off the power supply before replacing the light source.

1. Remove the protective grille and glass cover.
2. Carefully unscrew the cool bulb.
3. Check that the new bulb is clean and screw it in place in the socket.
4. Replace the protective grille and glass cover before switching on the product.

CLEANING

IMPORTANT:  Switch off the power supply before cleaning.

1. Switch off the power supply to the light.
2. Wipe the light with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
3. Wait until the light is completely dry before switching the power supply on again.

NOTE: Do not use detergents, alcohol, solvents or the equivalent to clean.
