SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the operating instructions carefully before use.
Save them for future reference.

  • Always follow these basic safety instructions when using electrical appliances.
  • Read all the instructions carefully before use.
  • Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
  • Do not allow the power cord to hang over the edge of a table or worktop, or to come into contact with hot surfaces.
  • Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or not working properly, or if the power cord or plug are damaged. Take the appliance to an authorised service centre to be checked, repaired or adjusted.
  •  A damaged power cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre, or other qualified personnel, to ensure safe use.
  •  Keep the appliance under careful supervision when it is used by, or near children.
  • Avoid contact with moving parts.
  •  Keep your hands and utensils outside of the jug when the appliance is in use, otherwise there is a risk of serious personal injury and/or material damage.
  • Do not use accessories other than those recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer. The use of other accessories can result in fire, electric shock and/or personal injury.
  •  Pull out the plug when the appliance is not in use, and before replacing parts or cleaning. Switch off with the power switch and pull out the plug. Do not pull the power cord to pull out the plug.
  •  Never put the blade unit on the motor unit before the bland unit is correctly in place on the jug- risk of personal injury.
  • This appliance can be used by children from eight years and upwards and by persorns with physical, sensorial or mental disabilities, or persons who lack experience or knowledge, if they are supervised or receive instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance and understand the risks involved with its use.
  • Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
  • Switch off the appliance, pull out the plug, and wait until all moving parts have completely stopped before removing the jug from the motor unit.
  • Never run the appliance without the lid properly in place on the jug.
  • Only use the appliance on a dry, stable and level surface.
  • Do not place the appliance on, or near hot surfaces.
  • Do not use the appliance outdoors.
  • Never attempt to mix hard, dry substances, this will blunt the blades.
  • Never use the appliance for anything other than its intended purpose.
  • WARNING: Never use hot liquids in the appliance and do not start the appliance when it is empty.
  • Switch off the appliance, pull out the plug, and wait until all moving parts have completely stopped before leaving the appliance unattended, and before assembling/dismantling and/or cleaning it.
  • Store the appliance and its power cord out of the reach of children.
  • The appliance does not Contain any parts that can be repaired by the user. Servicing should only be carried out by qualified service personnel.

USE

Intened use

The blender is intended for home use, it is not intended for professional use.

Before using for the first time
Check that all the accessories are included and that the blender is undamaged. Pour a little water into the jug and run the blender. Pour out the water and repeat. Wash the jug and the lid in hot water.

NOTE:

Be careful, the blades are very sharp.

  1.  Place the blender on a level, stable surface. Check that the plug is not plugged in.
  2.  Place the jug with the lid on and the opening facing up. Pour the requiredingredients into the jug. For best results, put the required ingredients in the jug in the following order: liquid, fresh ingredients, frozen fruit, yoghurt, ice cream. Do not fill above the 600 ml marking.
  3. If necessary, peel and remove the cores from fruit and vegetables and cut them into 15 mm cubes. It is not necessary to remove eatable seeds.
  4. Fit the blade unit on the jug by screwing it on clockwise.
  5. Turn round the jug with the blade unit and place the blade unit on the motor unit. Align the arrow on the motor unit with the arrow on the blade unit and twist clockwise to lock the jug in place.
  6. Plug the plug into the power point. Press the power switch to start the blender. Do not run the appliance for more than 1 minute at once. Allow it to cool to room temperature before using it again.
  7. After blending, press the power switch to stop. Turn the jug anticlockwise to release it. Pull out the plug.
  8.  Turn round the jug, and holding it in one hand unscrew the blade unit.
  9.  Put the lid on the jug instead of the blade unit. Take the jug with you to have the drink handy during the day. Open the spout in the lid to drink.

MAINTENANCE

  • Pour a little hot water and washing-up liquid into the jug, plug in the power cord and run it for a few seconds.
  • Release the jug by turning it anticlockwise and rinse under running water.
  • Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth.
  • Wipe all the parts, fit the blade unit on the jug and put the jug on the motor unit. Fit the lid on the other end of the jug.

NOTE:

  • Do not use abrasive detergents. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  • All parts except the motor unit can be washed in a dishwasher, or with hot water and washing-up liquid.
  • Do not remove the casing – risk of electric shock. The appliance does not contain any parts that can be repaired by the user.
    Take the appliance to an authorised service centre to be checked, repaired or adjusted.
