Function / application
The digital thermometer features an integrated NTC sensor which is used to measure temperature and temperature differences. The thermometer is used to measure the temperature of bulk, liquid or soft materials in all standard household, gastronomy, trade, craft and industrial applications.
General safety instructions
- The device must only be used in accordance with its intended purpose and within the scope of the specifications.
- Measuring instruments and accessories are not toys. Keep out of reach of children.
- The structure of the device must not be modified in any way.
- Do not expose the device to mechanical stress, extreme temperatures, moisture or significant vibration.
- The measuring instrument must not be used in closed ovens.
- Thoroughly clean the sensor before and after use.
- The measuring instrument is not water tight. Only dip the measuring probe into the material up to approx. 10 mm below the casing.
- Only hold the thermometer by the casing. Do not touch the test probe, it can become very hot during the measuring procedure.
- Always replace the protective cover on the measuring probe when not in use.
- Do not use the measuring probe with an external voltage. Exercise extreme caution when working with voltages higher than 24V AC/60 V DC. Touching the electrical conductors at such voltages poses a risk of life-threatening electric shocks.
Safety instructions
Dealing with electromagnetic radiation
- The measuring device complies with electromagnetic compatibility regulations and limit values in accordance with EMC-Directive 2014/30/EU.
- Local operating restrictions – for example, in hospitals, aircraft, petrol stations or in the vicinity of people with pacemakers – may apply. Electronic devices can potentially cause hazards or interference or be subject to hazards or interference.
- The measuring accuracy may be affected when working close to high voltages or high electromagnetic alternating fields.
Inserting the batteries
Open battery compartment and insert batteries corresponding to installation symbols. Ensure correct polarity. ON/OFF Auto-OFF: approx. 20 min.
Setting unit
To set the required temperature unit, press and hold the „°C/°F“ button until the corresponding symbol appears in the display.
Hold/Max/Min Press
the „Hold“ button to hold the current measured value in the display
(Hold flashes in display).
To determine the maximum or minimum temperature during a measurement, press
and hold the „Hold“ button until „MAX“ or „MIN“ flashes in the display. Normal
measuring mode is set when no function is flashing in the
display.
„- – °C“ will be displayed if the measured temperature is outside the
measuring range.
Information on maintenance and care
Clean all components with a damp cloth and do not use cleaning agents, scouring agents and solvents. Remove the battery(ies) before storing for longer periods. Store the device in a clean and dry place.
