Installing the Batteries

  • Press in and push down on the battery door to open and remove the battery door.
  • Install 3 new “AAA” batteries, matching the (+/-) markings in the battery compartment.
  • Replace the door.

Setting the Unit of Temperature

  • Device will come automatically set to Celsius.
  • Press the ‘°C/°F’ button to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
    NOTE: Make sure ‘Function selection switch” is in the ’LOCK’ position prior to pressing ‘°C/°F’ button.

Setting the Time

  • Slide ‘Function selection switch’ to the ‘TIME SET’ position.
  • Press the ‘HOUR’ and ‘MIN/DATE’ buttons to adjust the clock to your desired time.
  • Once desired time is reached slide the ‘Function selection switch’ to the ‘LOCK’ position.
    NOTE: If you are using the 12 hour clock, be sure to check the AM/PM indicator to make sure you are setting the clock for the right time of day.

Setting the Date

  • Slide ‘Function selection switch’ to the ‘DATE SET’ position.
  • Press the ‘YEAR’, ‘MONTH’, and ‘MIN/DATE’ buttons to adjust the clock to your desired date.
  • Once desired date is reached slide the ‘Function selection switch’ to the ‘LOCK’ position.

12/24 Hour Display Settings

  • Press the ‘12/24’ button to toggle between 12 hour and 24 hour clock.
  • When you are in the 12 hour mode the AM/PM indicator will appears to the left of the display.
    NOTE: Make sure ‘Function selection switch” is in the ’LOCK’ position prior to pressing ‘12/24’ button.

Setting the Alarm

  • Slide “Function selection switch” to the ‘ALARM SET’ position.
  • Press the ‘HOUR’ and ‘MIN/DATE’ buttons to adjust the clock to your desired wake time.
  • Once desired wake time is reached slide the ‘Function selection switch’ to the ‘LOCK’ position.
    NOTE: If you are using the 12 hour clock, be sure to check the AM/PM indicator to make sure you are setting the alarm for the right time of day.

Turning Alarm On and Off

  • Slide ‘Alarm On/Off Switch’ to turn the alarm on and off. Alarm indicator will appear when alarm is turned on.
  • When ‘Alarm On/Off Switch’ is in the ‘ALARM ON’ position the alarm will sound at desired time.
  • Alarm will sound for 60 seconds or until snooze button is pressed or alarm is turned off.
  • To turn alarm off slide ‘Alarm On/Off Switch’ to the ‘ALARM OFF’ position.

Snooze/Light Button

  • When the alarm sound is ringing, press the ‘SNOOZE/LIGHT’ button to snooze the device for 5 minutes.
  • Snooze indicator will flash when snooze is triggered.
  • Press the ‘SNOOZE/LIGHT’ button at anytime to activate the backlight.

Light Sensor Switch
When in a dark room the display on the unit will automatically light up so the time can be read in the dark. To turn this feature o slide the ‘Ambient light sensor switch’ to the ‘OFF’ position.

Maintenance

  • Place the unit on a level surface away from sources of direct sunlight or excessive heat.
  • Protect your furniture when placing your unit on a natural wood and lacquered finish. A cloth or other protective material should be placed between it and the furniture.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please heed all warnings, read and follow all instructions and keep these instructions handy for future reference.

  1. Do not use this product near water.

  2. Clean only with damp cloth. Stronger cleaning agents, such as Benzene, thinner or similar materials can damage the surface of the unit.

  3. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

  4. Heat – This product should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

  5. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

  6. Damage Requiring Service This product should be serviced by qualified service personnel when:

    • Objects have fallen into or liquid has been spilled into the enclosure.
    • The unit has been exposed to rain. The unit has been dropped or the enclosure damaged.
    • The unit exhibits a marked change in performance or does not operate normally.
  7. No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on this product.

  8. Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal. Many electronics retailers now recycle batteries and other electronic components at no charge. To find a drop-off location near you, visit www.call2recycle.com

  9. This product is suitable for use in tropical and/or moderate climates.
    WARNING:

    • To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this product to rain or moisture.
    • Do not dispose of batteries in the household trash or fire.

Battery Cautions and Tips

  • Caution – Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
  • Only use the recommended/supplied batteries or equivalent.
  • Use alkaline batteries for longer life.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries, and do not mix alkaline, carbon-zinc or rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries.
  • Insert batteries with proper polarity (+/–) as indicated.
  • Remove exhausted batteries from product.
  • Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • Do not open batteries or heat them beyond normal ambient temperatures.
  • To prevent battery leakage or damage, remove batteries from a product if it will not be used for a month or longer.
  • Use extreme caution handling leaking batteries (avoid direct contact with eyes and skin). If battery leakage comes in contact with eyes, IMMEDIATELY flush the eye with lukewarm and gently flowing water for at least 30 minutes. If skin contact occurs, wash skin with clean water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if any symptoms occur.
  • Store in cool, dry, ventilated area away from hazardous or combustible material.
  • Follow applicable laws and local regulations for the disposal and transportation of batteries
