Operating & cleaning instructions

Introduction

2.1 Parts of the coffee machine

  1. Bean hopper (up to 2), lockable

  2. Powder hopper (choc or topping, for example) (optional), lockable

  3. Manual insert/tablet insert

  4. Touch display for beverage buttons and settings

  5. Combi spout with an integrated milk foamer

  6. Grounds container

  7. SteamJet cup warmer

  8. Removable drip tray with drip grid

  9. Hot water spout/steam outlet (optional)

  10. Water tank/descaling container (optional)

  11. Operating panel Side illumination

  12. ON/OFF switch (operating panel open)
    “Ready to operate” display

  13. Menu pad (opens the main menu)

  14. Beverage buttons

  15. SteamJet pad

  16. “Warm rinse” pad

  17. Eco mode

The pads and buttons on the display are available, depending on the settings and the machine model. The functions shown here are examples.

CLEANING TABLET CHECK SHEET
1500S+ EASY MILK – OPERATING INFORMATION

SELF SERVICE EMERGENCY ALERT
ATTENTION
IF RED LIGHTS ARE FLASHING PLEASE ATTEND THE MACHINE.
TO RESOLVE DO THE FOLLOWING:

  1. INSTRUCTIONS DISPLAYED ON SCREEN Follow the instructions displayed on the coffee machines screen to clear the message
    OR.

  2. DRINKS DISPLAYED ON SCREEN
    If the lights are flashing red and the symbol is displayed in the top right part of the screen, above the drinks, then press the symbol, and follow the instructions displayed on coffee machines screen to clear the message.

IMPORTANT PROCESS
REMOVAL OF GROUTS

  1. Remove and empty the grout container in the bin, then wipe down the inside residue and dry.
  2. Carefully replace the grouts container back into the machine.
  3. Confirm on the display that the container has been emptied.
    NOTE: DON’T bang container on rubbish bin and DON’T wash the container in dish washer.

MILK FRIDGE CLEAN

  1. Please wipe out the fridge regularly.
  2. Clean milk containers regularly (this can go in the dishwasher).
  3. Regularly check the temperature of milk stored in fridge 4°c.
  4. If you see a build-up of frost in the fridge remove milk and defrost the fridge.
  5. Finish milk in the container as much as possible before refilling.
  6. Wipe any spills.

ACCESSING THE CLEANING MENU

  1. Gently double tap the bottom right of the screen
  2. Select the home icon when it displays
  3. Select the care options tab

CLEANLOCK
A 15-second countdown starts and the screen is deactivated. The touch display can now be cleaned by wiping action.

Animated instructions for the weekly cleaning procedures, including choc mixer and combi spout.

END OF DAY SYSTEM CLEAN

Plug the milk line into the blue WMF cleaning
container. Place the cleaning box on the drip
tray during the cleaning process.
NOTE: DO NOT PLACE CONTAINER IN FRIDGE| Insert CAFIZA tablet into top chute for brewer cleaning
Part No: 12-ESPTH12-100 Cafiza E18| System will progress with cleaning (up to 15 minutes max)

Un-plug milk line from blue container and back into milk. Careful warm water inside| If you are continuing to use the machine after cleaning, please note
the machine will restart, perform a milk line purge, and ready itself for
service. You are required to activate several prompts for this.

Machine will complete cleaning and flush lines. And set milk.| Once completed, machine will return to home screen
| PERFORM THIS AT THE END OF THE WEEK.

****| USE ONLY WMF-CERTIFIED MILK CLEANING TABLETS.

Disconnect the milk line from the foamer| Remove combi spout & remove milk hose| Separate foamer into separate pieces ready for soaking

Re-mount the spare clean foamer, choc hose & milk line| Fill a container with warm water and add one RINZA tablet. Place dirty foamer & milk line, soak for 5 hours Part No: 12-MKTAB12-40 Rinza| After soaking, rinse all pieces under a tap and dry

Store in a tub with a lid to avoid contamination ready for next weekly exchange

REFILL COFFEE HOPPERS

| PERFORM THIS WHEN PROMPTED BY A MACHINE

| THIS PROCEDURE TAKES APPROX. 2-3 MINUTES
****| DURING REFIL BE CAREFUL THAT NO FOREIGN DEBRIS FALLS INTO THE HOPPER

Fill hoppers with fresh coffee to just below lid line. The hoppers will empty at the same rate so ensure all hoppers are filled to the same level.| If the machine runs out of coffee, it will prompt the operator to refill hopper.

Remove lid the pour coffee into the empty hopper.| Once hopper is topped up, tap on the green tick to continue.

CHOCOLATE WHIPPER/MIXER CLEANING

| PERFORM THIS AT THE END OF THE WEEK.

****| USE ONLY WMF CERTIFIED MILK CLEANING TABLETS.

HOPPER CLEANING

****| ENSURE HOPPERS ARE DRY BEFORE RE-FITTING

IMPORTANT: CHOCOLATE HOPPER REASSEMBLY
Please note, once you have dried the hopper after washing, it is important that the hopper is reassembled correctly for proper functioning. Please use the exploded diagram as a guide for reassembly and make sure that the half moon opening is at the top before re-inserting the hopper.
