The jug is not suitable for storing juice. Fresh juice should be consumed within 2 hours of juicing or be transferred into another container.

Initial operation

Clean all removable parts before operating it for the first time as described in the chapter „Cleaning and Care“. Ensure that you do not injure yourself on the sharp blades. Make sure that the rotary knob is in position O.

Remove the required length of mains cable from the cable storage to the rear of the appliance by pulling it out manually.
Note: The appliance has a Cable Assistant. The integrated cable storage enables the mains cable to be easily stored in the appliance and pulled out when necessary.

Place the juice tray in the appliance so that the juice spout sits in the recess intended for this purpose.

Place the micro-strainer in the juice tray. Each time before using the appliance, check if the micro-strainer is damaged. If you notice any cracks or other damage, you must not use the appliance until the microstrainer has been replaced. Ensure that you do not injure yourself on the sharp blades.

Insert the pulp container by tipping it gently forwards (1).
To that end, first place the upper side onto the motor base and then push the lower side onto the appliance (2).
Warning: Do not operate the appliance when the pulp container is not inserted.

Place the lid with the filling opening on the juice tray. Make sure that the lid is positioned correctly in the juice tray. Then close the safety lock by pulling the lever upwards until it clicks.

Place the jug under the juice spout.
Note: Fresh juice should not be stored in the jug. The juice oxidises quickly when it comes into contact with air, which can impair its taste, colour and nutritional value. Apple and pear juice quickly becomes brown.

If you prefer pure juice without foam, insert the foam filter in the jug. Open the drip stop so that the juice can flow into the jug.
Note: The appliance only functions when all the parts are completely and correctly assembled and when the safety lock on the lid has locked correctly into place.
Wash the required fruit/vegetables. If necessary, cut into small pieces so that they fit into the filling opening without getting stuck.

Connect the mains plug to a mains socket and move the rotary switch to the required position:
Setting I: For soft fruit and vegetables such as watermelon, grapes, tomatoes, cucumbers and raspberries.
Setting II: For all other types types of fruit and vegetable.
Insert the chopped pieces of fruit and vegetable into the filling opening.

Insert the stopper into the filling opening in the lid using the guides.
Press the stopper downwards slowly and steadily to extract as much juice as possible.
If you press too hard, this can impair the quality of the juice. It can also cause the micro-strainer to stop and can damage it.
Warning: Never place your hands, spoons or other foreign bodies (e.g. hair, clothing, brushes, cloths) in the filling tube.

Once you have juiced all the pieces of fruit and vegetable and no more juice is running into the juice jug, switch off the appliance and pull out the mains plug. Wait until the micro-strainer stops rotating.
Close the drip stop before removing the jug from the juice spout so that the juice residue does not drip onto the work surface.
To remove the pulp container, switch off the appliance and remove it by gently tipping it forwards.

If the motor sticks, rotates slowly or stops during operation, switch off the appliance immediately and pull the mains plug out of the mains socket.
Remove the micro-strainer and clean as described in the chapter „Cleaning and Care“.

General guidelines

  • Particularly suitable for processing are pineapples, beets, celery, cucumbers, carrots, spinach, melons, tomatoes, pomegranate, oranges and grapes.
  • Very hard and/or fibrous fruits and vegetables (such as sugar cane) are not suitable for the juicer.
  • Starch-containing fruits such as bananas, papayas, avocados, figs or mangoes are not suitable for the juicer. In order to process such fruits, use a food processor or a stand mixer.
  • In order to extract as much juice as possible, press the pusher slowly and with a little downward pressure.
  • Make sure that the pulp container and the juice pitcher do not become too full. Otherwise, the device might no longer work correctly.

Speed selection

Ingredients| Speed setting| Approximate weight (in kg)| Quantity of juice obtained *in ml ()**
---|---|---|---
Apples| 2| 1| 650
Pears| 2| 1| 600
Carrots| 2| 1| 600
Cucumbers| 1| 1 (approx. 2 cucumbers)| 600
Pineapple| 2| 1| 300
Grapes| 1| 1| 450
Tomatoes| 1| 1.5| 900
Celery| 2| 1.5| 350

Tips

  • Carefully wash the fruit before juicing.
  • Skin and peel does not need to be removed.
  • Only fruit with thick (and bitter) peel should be peeled: citrus fruits, pineapple (remove the stalk).
  • Some varieties: apples, pears, tomatoes, etc. can be inserted whole thanks to the large filling tube.
  • Choose fresh, ripe fruit and vegetables which will release more juice.
  • The strainer becomes blocked more quickly when pressing over-ripe fruit.
  • If the juice yield decreases, it may be that the micro-strainer is blocked. Switch off the appliance and clean the micro-strainer with water and the brush.
  • Important: The juice must be consumed immediately and should not be stored in the jug. The juice oxidises quickly when it comes into contact with air, which can impair its taste, colour and nutritional value. Apple and pear juice quickly becomes brown. To slow down the colour change, add a few drops of lemon juice.

Cleaning and care

When you have finished juicing, for easier pre-cleaning you can add water to the filling tube so that the micro-strainer and housing are well rinsed. Make sure that the empty jug is placed in front of the juice spout and that the drip stop is opened.
Then switch off the appliance, pull the mains plug and wait until the micro strainer no longer rotates.
Under no circumstances should you immerse the motor base in water. Simply wipe the outside with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive cleaning agents.
Remove the stopper and then open the safety lock. Remove the lid with the filling opening and remove the pulp container. Remove the micro-strainer and the juice tray. Make sure you do not touch the blade and always hold the micro-strainer by its edge. You can then clean the micro-strainer with the cleaning brush.
