SABRENT SB-PSHS M.2 NVMe PS5 Heatsink Installation Guide
REVOLUTIONARY COOLING
Made from High Quality CNC’d Aluminium, the Sabrent Heatsink for PS5 console
was specifically designed to maximise cooling performance and easy
installation. This ensures that your SSD stays in the optimal operating
temperatures, even in those intense gaming sessions! Utilising not only the
aluminium to dissipate the heat. But also utilises the PS5 cooling system to
ensure fresh air flows over the heatsink to further improve cooling.
UPGRADE YOUR PS5 CONSOLE
Rather than creating a heatsink that would only trap the dissipated heat by the metal cover, we designed the heatsink to replace the metal cover. This does two things: firstly this allows the heatsink to be cooled from the fan rather than negative pressure, which results in more stable and cooler temperatures. Secondly, it makes the heatsink larger, allowing more heat to be transferred from the SSD.
With Standard
Heatsink + PS5 Console Plate
The PS5 console Expansion slot only utilises negative pressure to remove the
heat, trapping the heat inside when using the metal cover.
With Sabrent ROCKET Heatsink
The heatsink is cooled from the fan and allows more heat to be transferred
from the SSD before saturating the thermal capacity.
Remove the screw from the expansion slot cover (A) and remove the cover.
Remove the screw (B) and spacer (C), and adjust the spacer to the size of your
M.2 SSD.
Hold the edge of your M.2 SSD, align it with the notch on the expansion
connector, and then, starting from diagonally upward, firmly insert it all the
way in.
Tilt your M.2 SSD down and fasten it with the screw.
Tilt the SABRENT HEATSINK FOR PS5 CONSOLE expansion slot cover until lip (D)
fits into the groove.
Fasten the screw.
