SAFETY INFORMATION
Read the operating instructions carefully before use.
Please retain for future reference.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) who are not mentally
or physically capable or experienced enough to understand the product. They should be given supervision and instruction in the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. -
Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the product.

If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician in order to avoid danger.

This appliance is not intended for use with an external timer or separate remote-control system.

Charcoal or similar combustible material must not be used with this appliance.

The grill surface will get very hot when preparing food. Care must be taken to avoid contact with surface.

Do not use metal or sharp implements when preparing food as these will damage the
non-stick surface. -
Ensure there is sufficient ventilation around the appliance to allow heat and steam to escape.

Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids.

This appliance does not contain user serviceable parts. All repairs should only be carried out by a qualified technician. Incorrect repairs may place the user at risk of harm.

Do not operate the appliance after a malfunction or if it has been dropped or damaged in
any way. -
Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is connected to the mains.

The appliance must be unplugged from the mains after use and while any maintenance such as cleaning is carried out.

The appliance must be used on a stable, heat resistant surface.

Do not use the appliance for any purpose other than that which it is intended.

Ensure that the power cord is kept away from heat sources or sharp edges that could cause damage.

GETTING STARTED
N. B.: If an extension cord is used, it must be earthed and have a cross
section area of at least
0.75 mm2 or 1.0 mm2. When using an extension cord, position it so that people
do not trip over it.
- Remove all packing materials from the appliance.
- Place the packaging inside the box and either store or dispose of safely.
- Check that the voltage of your appliance is the same as your mains.
- Before each use, unwind the power cord completely.
- Pre-heating: 5 minutes.
- If your appliance has a temperature control knob, set it to Max for 10 minutes, and then turn it to the temperature of your choice.
- The indicator lamp indicates that the appliance is on whatever the setting.
- On first use, it is normal for the heating element to emit some smoke and smell a little.
OPERATION
N. B.: When you add water during cooking, do not pour it over the heating
element.
WARNING: Charcoal or similar combustible material must not be used with this
appliance.
- Add water to the drip tray to the depth indicated.
- Plug the appliance into the mains power supply and switch to On if there is a switch.
- Pre-heat the appliance for 10-15 minutes with the temperature control knob set to maximum. The indicator lamp lights up.
- Set the required temperature using the temperature control knob.
- Food can now be prepared on the grill.
- Fat dripping from the food will land in the drip tray where the water will cause it to cool and solidify preventing any smoke or smells.
- If the drip tray requires additional water during cooking, this can be added by partially pulling out the drip tray.
- Always turn the temperature control knob to the Off position to turn off the grill.
WARNING: Do not use this appliance without water in the drip tray!
WARNING: Take care not to pour water onto the heating element.
WARNING: The grill plate becomes extremely hot during use. Use extreme
caution. WARNING: The drip tray will be hot. Take care to avoid injury.
MAINTENANCE
- Unplug the appliance from the mains power supply and allow to cool thoroughly before cleaning.
- Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- To avoid scratching the non-stick surface, do not use strong or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Wipe the grill carefully and clean with a mild cleaning agent.
- Do not immerse the grill in water or any other liquids.
