Instructions for Installation of Bush Hog Trail Hunter 2-Piece Aero-Vent Lexan Windshield

NOTICE: Please check contents of package for any damage and make sure all parts fit correctly and you are happy with the product before removing protective film. Once the film is removed you cannot return the product for a full refund.

  1. Be sure to read these instructions thoroughly before opening and installing the Bush Hog Lexan Windshield.
  2. Check over the parts included in the carton with the parts list shown below:
    • 1 ¾” Loom Clamps 6 each
    • 1 1/2” Loom Clamps 2 each
    • 1” Bolts 9 each
    • Plastic Thumbnuts 9 each
    • Slide Fasteners 4 each
    • Washers 9 each
    • 40” Rubber Gasket 1 each
    • 43” Rubber Gasket 1 each
    • Lexan Vent Slider 1 each
    • Lexan Windshield 2 Pieces
  3. Begin by removing the entire windshield assembly and lay it flat on a clean surface. Get the included 43” rubber gasket and install it along the bottom curved part of the small windshield section. Peel back the protective film along to expose the material. Starting at one end press the gasket firmly along the bottom edge, making sure that it is pushed all the way on. Next install the 40” rubber gasket across the top of the same piece using the same method. If it does not seem to be holding strong, you can squeeze the gasket together and reinstall to get a better hold. The diagram below shows how it should look when finished but is not a true model of the Trail Hunter Windshield.
  4. Next install the Lexan Vent Slider to the inside face off the bottom section. Begin by removing the protective masking.
  5. Now place the Vent Slider to the Bottom section on the inside face of the windshield as shown in the diagram below. Diagram not of Bush Hog, Just for reference.FALCON-RIDGE-BH-440-WD05-Bush-Hog-Trail-Hunter-2-Piece-Aero-Vent-Lexan-Windshield-fig-2
  6. Now the bottom section of the windshield is ready to be clamped to the frame of the Trail hunter using four 1 clamps, four Bolts, four Washers and four Plastic Thumbnuts as shown in the diagram below.FALCON-RIDGE-BH-440-WD05-Bush-Hog-Trail-Hunter-2-Piece-Aero-Vent-Lexan-Windshield-fig-3
  7. Now install the top section of the windshield using the same method as the bottom section with the only difference being that the clamps used for the slanted portion at the top are 1 clamps. Note: The bend at the top of the windshield should be facing toward the rear of the UTV and be placed under the Roll cage at the top. When finished it should look very similar to the diagram below. Note: Top brace not included in Bush Hog Trail Hunter Windshield.
A plastic cleaner and polish is available from Falcon Ridge that will help reduce dust buildup and fingerprints. Just give us a call at 606-845-7439, Thanks. FALCON-RIDGE-
