Introduction
This LIFX, pronounced Life X, is full color, extremely bright, and has an infrared light that allows you to check in on your child or pet while keeping an eye out for intruders. On video, you can see through glass farther and more clearly than you can with the naked eye. Don’t forget that it also functions as a typical smart light with schedules, scenes, whites, colors, all the major voice assistants, and a killer app when it’s not “off” keeping watch.
SECURITY BOOSTER
You can see through reflective windows, across wide areas, and down hallways with the aid of our invisible infrared. In contrast to visible infrared or built-in, this will fill substantial areas without drawing attention to itself.
SET SCHEDULES
To increase security and your sense of comfort while you’re away, set up routines to update your LIFX (pronounced Life-X).
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
Your lights may blink when your Uber comes, change when the weather changes, and much more through partner connections like IFTTT or home assistants.

FAQs
How do you turn on infrared through the Apple Home app?****
If you are referring to the Lifx + or night vision, the IR emitters come on when the visible light is off or less than 10%. I do not believe there is a separate control to turn the emitters off or on, it is automatic.
In those “billions “ of colors are any of them in the ultra violet spectrum?****
The bulb emits infra-red spectrum even when dimmed to 0%.
Can this be used outdoors?****
Yes, as long as it is not directly exposed to elements like rain and snow. I have one in my patio light but it is a covered patio. I believe the only ball that they have that is specifically rated for outdoor use is the BR 30 which is four floodlights.
Where is the Apple HomeKit setup code?****
It’s inside the instructions that came in the box. It’s on the last page. Took me a long time to figure that out as well.
Is the IR night vision wavelength 940nm?****
According to Lifx in their FAQ, the IR wavelength is 950nm.
Can it give off visible light and infrared at the same time?****
The precursor to this lamp, the Lifx+, would turn on the IR emitters when it was dimmed to 10%. I am not sure if they changed this when they renamed the product.
Does LIFX function offline?****
The app can operate without an internet connection. After downloading the app, the phone will no longer require internet access to use it. Cellular or Wi-Fi internet connections are required only for the initial app download.
What is the lifespan of a LIFX bulb?****
These bulbs are rated by LIFX for 40,000 hours (27 years at 4 hours per day), as opposed to 25,000 hours for TCP bulbs and 15,000 hours for Hue bulbs.
Can I connect a certain number of LIFX bulbs?****
80 total wireless customers, of which 55 operate at 2.4 GHz and the remaining clients at 5 GHz.
Can a smart bulb be connected without Wi-Fi?****
You need a smart device that supports Bluetooth, such as a smartphone or tablet. Simply turn on the light switch, launch the smart bulb’s Bluetooth app, and the bulb will be “discovered” so you may control it without Wi-Fi. The next step is to click “add device,” “connect,” or “pair” on the app.
Can I control a smart bulb from any location?****
All of our Direct Connect Smart Bulbs, Smart Switches, and Smart Plugs can be managed from anywhere right out of the box without a hub after they are registered in the Cync App.
Do Smart Bulbs function when they are off?****
They do, although only slightly, suck electricity due to that advanced technology even when the lights are out.
Can I operate LIFX while I’m not at home?****
Additionally, you can use your LIFX app and manage your lighting from any location with an internet connection. From anywhere in the world, simply tap your lights to turn them on or off or change their color.
Do LIFX lights get warm?****
During typical use, your lights will become warm. When removing light from a fixture, please take care.
Can two Smart bulbs be controlled simultaneously?****
You may utilize a variety of smart bulbs from various brands in a same light fixture, yes. However, you would need to use a hub or numerous apps to handle them all in order to manage them all.
