Precautions

These following precautions ensure user safety and prevent damage to the product.
Before using the product, read and adhere to the following precautions carefully.

Safety Precautions

  • Check the rated voltage before using.
  • Do not touch the power plug while hands are wet.
  • Do not touch the heating wire or the heating unit immediately after using.
  • Do not plug multiple electrical appliances into one outlet at the same time.
  • Do not place the device near a heating apparatus (stove, gas stove, etc.), in a humid or dusty place, or in direct contact with water. Always keep the device dry.
  • Do not subject the device to strong impacts (e.g., shaking or dropping the device).
  • Unplug the device if it will not be used for a long time or in the event of a thunderstorm.
  • Keep hands clear of the interior when opening or closing the cover.
  • Keep the device out of reach of children.
  • Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the device arbitrarily.
  • Do not use the device for any purpose outside of its intended use.

Usage Precautions

In the event that any of the following precautions are not followed, repair services will incur a cost, even during the warranty period.

  • Inhalation of moisture or powder into the device during vacuum packaging may cause product failure. Read and adhere to the following precautions before using vacuum packaging.

  • Moist food (meat, fish, etc.)

    1. Ensure food is frozen
    2. During vacuum packaging, store with absorbent such as a kitchen towel that can absorb moisture inside the film
  • Liquid Based Foods (soup, kimchi, etc.)
    Use container packaging. *vacuum packaging cannot be used

    • Fruit and Vegetables (sesame leaves, mushrooms, etc.)
      When packaging soft and wet vegetables and fruits, the vacuum film may swell due to moisture or gas in the food. Enclose a gas absorbent and store in vacuum or container packaging.

    • Odorous vegetables, fermented foods (onion, garlic, etc.)
      Gas generated from the food may causing the vacuum film to swell or unseal.

  • When using a microwave oven, be sure to make a hole in the vacuum film or container film before using.

  • If used consecutively, wait 2 minutes before using.

  • Cool hot food before packaging.

  • When packaging a container, remove any liquid from the film adhesive before packaging.

  • If moisture or food remnants contaminate gasket during use, remove and the upper and lower gaskets and clean before using again.

Preparation

Turning on the Device

  1. Connect the power plug to an outlet.

  2. Press the [Power] button. The device will turn on and the [Power] button glow blue.

Inserting Film

  1. Press the container cover button, then raise the container packaging cover.

  2. Open the film cover and insert the container film.

    • Place the container film so that it feeds upwards. If the unwinding direction of the film is wrong, film will not stick.

    • Do not pull the container film out through the film cutter slot. Cover it up and use as it is.

How to Use

Container Packaging

  1. Press the container cover button, then raise the container packaging cover.

  2. Place the container in the rubber base, and press the rim of the container into the rubber base.

    CAUTION
    If the container is not fully inserted, the film may not adhere properly

  3. Open the film lid and pull the container film until it covers the container, then close the film lid.

  4. Close the cover and press the [TRAY] button. The [Power] button will glow red and film sealing will begin.

  5. When the [Power] button turns blue, press the container cover button and raise the container packaging cover.

  6. Push down on the film cover to secure the container film, then cut the film by moving the film cutter across both ends 2–3 times.

  7. Hold the edge of the container with both hands and lift to remove.

CAUTION

  • After sealing, cool the heating unit for at least 30 seconds.
  • Do not touch the container heating unit with your hands immediately after container sealing due to potential risk of burns.

NOTE

The adhesion temperature of the IVP-1131 Premium is optimized for the included containers. The film may not stick to other containers.

Sealing

Instructions for sealing only the ends and leaving the air inside intact are as follows:

  1. Raise the vacuum packaging cover completely.

  2. Place the end of the vacuum film so that it covers only the vacuum heating unit. (yellow tape)

    CAUTION
    If the film passes over the vacuum heating unit, it may be processed as a vacuum and fail to stick. Be sure to place the end of the film to cover only the vacuum heating unit.

  3. Close the cover and press the [VACUUM] button.

  4. Press the Loofah logo on the cover with both hands until the [Power] button flashes red.

  5. When the [Power] button turns blue, remove the vacuum film.

CAUTION

  • After packaging, let the vacuum heating unit cool for at least 30 seconds.
  • Do not touch the heating with your hands immediately after sealing due to potential risk of burns.

Vacuum Packaging

CAUTION

Inhalation of moisture or powder into the device during vacuum packaging may cause product failure. Read and adhere to the following before using vacuum packaging.

  • In case of wet food (meat, fish, etc.), vacuum-pack when frozen. If the food cannot be stored in the freezer, place a paper towel inside the film so that it can absorb excess moisture.
  • Place powdered foods (grain flour, flour, etc.) in a disposable plastic bag, then vacuum-pack or seal.
  • Vegetables (onion, cucumber, pumpkin, etc.) may generate moisture or gas due to vacuum pressure, which may cause the vacuum film to swell. Enclose a gas absorbent in the vacuum packaging, or store food in a container.

    NOTE

    • Vacuum cannot take effect if the vacuum film entrance is not located in the vacuum suction area.
    • If the vacuum film is 3/4 or more full, vacuum may not take effect.
  3. Close the vacuum packaging cover and press the [VACUUM] button.

  4. Press the cover down with both hands until the [Power] button flashes red.
    How to Use
    CAUTION
    If you release your hands before the power button glows red, the film may not adhere.

  5. When the [Power] button turns blue, remove the vacuum film.

    After packaging, let the vacuum heating unit cool for at least 30 seconds.

Handy Hose

  1. Lift up the vacuum packaging cover.

  2. Insert the vacuum hose inlet into vacuum suction area at the bottom left (air hole inside gasket oval sponge).

  3. Insert the outlet vacuum hose into air valve of the zipper bag and press with hand.

  4. Press on [HANDY] button with the hand pressed. Take out the hose from the zipper bag when vacuum is completed.

Air top (vacuum container)

  1. Put the air top over a regular container.
    How to Use
    NOTE

    • It only works well for a container with a flat inlet.
    • A general container used at home can be used as a vacuum container by using an air top.
    • Make sure the container is placed inside the air top. If the container goes over the outside of the air top, it may not work.
  2. Lift up the vacuum packaging cover and tilt it.
    How to Use

  3. Insert the vacuum hose inlet through the vacuum suction port and lower the vacuum packaging cover.

    CAUTION
    If the vacuum hose inlet is not inserted into the end, the vacuum may not perform well.

  4. While holding the vacuum suction nozzle by hand, press [HANDY] the button.

  5. Press the vacuum suction nozzle until the [Power] button flashes red. [Power] When the [Power] button changes to blue, pull out the vacuum hose.

    CAUTION

    • If you release your hand before the power button flashes red, vacuum suction may not work.
    • Make sure that the vacuum hose is not bent. Vacuum suction may not be possible.
      NOTE
      If you keep food in a vacuum-packed state, you can increase freshness further.
  6. When releasing the vacuum, tilt the air top cap back and open it.

Air top (vacuum blender)

  1. Place the air top over a regular blender container.
    How to Use
    NOTE

    • It only works well on a blender with a flat inlet.
    • A regular blender used at home can be used as a vacuum blender by using an air top.
    • Make sure the blender container is located inside the air top. If the blender container crosses the air top, it may not work.
  2. Lift the vacuum packaging cover and tilt it.

  3. Insert the vacuum hose inlet through the vacuum suction port and lower the vacuum packaging cover.

    CAUTION
    If the vacuum hose inlet is not inserted into the end, the vacuum may not perform well.

  4. While holding the vacuum suction nozzle by hand, press [HANDY] the button.

  5. Press the vacuum suction nozzle until the [Power] button flashes red. [Power] When the [Power] button changes to blue, pull out the vacuum hose.

    • If you release your hand before the power button flashes red, vacuum suction may not work.
    • Make sure that the vacuum hose is not bent. Vacuum suction may not be possible.
  6. Use it by attaching it to the blender. If you keep it in a vacuum-packed state, you can increase freshness further.

  7. When releasing the vacuum, tilt the air top cap back and open it.

Product Maintenance

For long and safe product usage, be sure to conduct product maintenance regularly. Consumables, upper/lower vacuum sponges, and film cutters can be purchased from the Lofaho website (lofahomall.com).

Cleaning

Disconnect the power plug from the outlet and wipe the inside and outside of the product with a soft cloth.

Product Maintenance

CAUTION
Do not spray water directly on the product, or use benzene, alcohol, thinner, or strong chemical detergents, as these may damage the product.

Replacing the Upper/Lower Vacuum Sponges

Pull out the sponge with your fingers, or with a tool such as tongs or tweezers, then replace.

Cleaning the Upper/Lower Vacuum Sponges

Wash gently by hand with lukewarm water and approx. 1 ml of detergent, then dry naturally indoors for at least 24 hours before using. Insufficient drying or drying in direct sunlight may deform the vacuum sponge.

Replacing the Film Cutter

  1. Push the middle of the cutter slot to widen the slot. Pull the cutter handle out and replace.

    When replacing the cutter, be sure to hold by the cutter handle.

  2. Move the cutter around to check that it fits into the slot.

Troubleshooting

Should an issue occur during product usage, try the suggested methods in the order they are written until the problem is solved. If the issue persists after trying all the suggested methods, please feel free to contact Customer Service.

Issue Resolution
The device does not work.
  • Check that the power plug is connected properly.
  • Check that the power button is glowing blue.
  • Check that the cover is fully closed. The product will only operate when the cover is closed. When an error occurs, the function and power buttons will glow red.

Film does not adhere to the container.|

  • Check that the container is a Lofaho container.
  • Check that the film is fed properly into the device.
  • Check the the rim of the container fits in the frame of the container holder.

Air is not sucked into the vacuum film.|

  • Check that the vacuum film entrance is placed in the vacuum suction area.
  • Check if the vacuum film entrance is folded. If the entrance is folded, air flows back and will not be sucked in.
  • Check that vacuum film is Lofaho film.
  • If contents are pointed or sharp, check if a hole was made in the vacuum film.
  • Check if the contents are filled by 3/4 or more.
  • Check if the air intake hole is blocked.

Sealing doesn’t work.|

  • Check if the entrance of the vacuum film is folded or not in the heat wire.
  • Check if there is any powder, dirt, or moisture where the vacuum film is adhered.
  • Check that the cover is fully closed. If the cover is not closed, the heating wire will not work.

Vacuum goes away after vacuum packaging.|

  • Check if the vacuum film is not properly adhering or if there are any unsealed areas.
  • Check for holes in the vacuum film.
  • Check if the vacuum film is swollen due to gas from the food.
