GAZELLE GC1000 Li-Ion Battery Charger

GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS

(For All Battery Operated Tools) Lt, WARNING! Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.  Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.

Battery Charger Use and Care

  1. Store the battery charger out of reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the battery charger or these instructions to operate the charger.
  2. To be safe, disabled, retarded, untrained people or people disabled to operate independently, including young children, are discouraged to operate the battery charger without supervision. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the charger.
  3. Make sure that the AC voltage of the power source meets the requirement specified on the nameplate of the battery charger. Be sure to charge in a well-ventilated area without inflammables. The charger will get a little hotter while charging. This is a normal phenomenon. Avoid leaving it unattended to avoid other hazards.
  4. When finishing charging, please power down before taking away the battery from the charger. Do not leave the battery in the charger for a long time.
  5. Always unplug the charger before performing any kind of work on it (e.g. maintenance, cleaning, etc.). In this way, the risk of electric shock can be reduced. Only use a soft and dry cloth to wipe the body of the battery charger. Do not clean the charger with a wet cloth, thinner, machine or Athor until calve
  6. This battery charger is only designed for charging of 18V(20MAX) Li-ion battery. Use of another type of battery or charger, e.g. imitated, modified or with another brand, may result in a risk of battery burst causing personal injury and property damage.
  7. Do not disassemble the battery charger. Be careful not to drop, shake or strike the battery charger. Store the battery charger in a moisture-proof and anti-frost area.
  8. Never use the battery charger for other purposes or for other manufacturer’s batteries.
  9. Make sure no foreign bodies in the cradle of the battery charger before inserting the battery and avoid dirt or moisture. Do not dispose of damaged or worn-out battery chargers into household waste.
  10. Do not charge for damaged battery
  11. Never charge for non-rechargeable batteries, otherwise may result in a risk of overheating, possible burns and even an explosion.
  12. Do not operate the battery charger when the environmental temperature is under 5 C or higher than 40 ·c. It may be unable to charge when the environmental temperature is under 0 ·c .
  13. Do not use a battery charger with a damaged electric plug or cord. To avoid any risk of injury. take the damaged charger to a qualified serviceman or an authorized center to replace the cord and plug. Only use an original cord and plug.
  14. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not touch the metal of output connecting parts or uninsulated battery terminals

SPECIFICATIONS

The battery charger can be used to recharge for Li-ion battery pack under normal circumstances. The working temperature of the battery charger is between 5 •c and 40°C with the humidity S90%RH.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATION

Battery Charging
WARNING! DO NOT recharge for non-rechargeable batteries.
CAUTION
Make sure that the AC voltage of the power source meets the requirement specified on the nameplate of the charger.

  1. The charging indicator light will flicker in green color and the charger operates in standby mode.
  2. lnsert the battery pack fully into the battery charger to start charging.

The battery pack will only be partially charged at the time of delivery. Please recharge the battery pack indoors before formal operation. In an environment with high temperature or after using for a long time. The machine may get hot.Please do not charge me immediately at this time. but charge it after the battery pack is cooled. Otherwise.the service life of the battery pack will be shortened or the battery pack will not be charged due to overheating

Charging Indicator Light

The battery charger can detect some sort of failure caused by the battery and indicates by the status of the red and green indicator lights. When a failure occurs, remove the battery and then insert it into the charger again. If the failure continues, change with a new battery. If the new battery can be charged, then the old battery may be damaged. If the charging indicator lights indicate the same failure as before while changing with a new battery, then the charger maybe damaged, take the charger to be repaired by a qualified serviceman. The following chart lists the relations between the statuses of charging and charging indicator lights.
