Product Usage Instructions
Safety Notes
Working safely with the measuring tool is possible when the operating and safety information are read completely and the instructions contained therein are strictly followed. Save these instructions for reference.
Intended Use
- The measuring tool is intended for determining and checking horizontal and vertical lines.
- It is suitable exclusively for operation in enclosed working sites.
Replacing the Batteries
- To open the Li-ion battery pack, press on the latch. To replace the battery pack, ensure a sound click means assembly is completed.
- Remember to remove the batteries from the measuring tool when not in use for extended periods.
- Recharge the battery pack before use if stored for more than 6 months.
Operation
- Charge the batteries for at least 8 hours during the first charge.
- Always ensure the Lock Switch is in the locked position during transport and storage.
- Protect the measuring tool from moisture and direct sunlight.
- Avoid subjecting the measuring tool to extreme temperatures or temperature variations. Allow it to adjust to ambient temperature before operation after large temperature changes.
- Switch off the measuring tool and ensure the Lock Switch is in the locked position during transport.
Operating Modes
- Auto Self-levelling Mode:
- To switch it on, slide the Lock Switch to the unlock position.
- The tool sends out a horizontal beam immediately after switching on.
- To turn it off, slide the Lock Switch to the unlock position.
- Manual Mode:
- The tool won’t be self-leveling in this mode.
- To switch on and off, press and hold the mode key for more than 3 seconds.
- The tool sends out a horizontal beam immediately after switching on.
- To change laser beams, press the mode key repeatedly to cycle through available modes.
- The laser lines flash every 5 seconds to save energy.
Pulse Mode
- In Pulse Mode, the laser lines flash at a high frequency for visibility in brighter environments or greater working distances.
- Press the pulse key button to activate/deactivate Pulse Mode. This mode facilitates leveling at long distances or when laser beams are not visible.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What should I do if the measuring tool is exposed to extreme temperatures?
- A: In case of large temperature variations, allow the measuring tool to adjust to ambient temperature before putting it into operation.
Q: How do I know when to replace the batteries?
- A: Remove the batteries from the measuring tool when not using it for extended periods. Recharge the battery pack before use when stored for more than 6 months.
OVERVIEW
Exit opening for laser beam
- Working safely with the measuring tool is possible when the operating and safety information are read completely and the instructions contained therein are strictly followed. Save these instructions for reference.
Safety notes
- Caution – modifying or adjusting equipment can lead to dangerous radiation exposure.
- While the product is in operation, be careful not to expose your eyes to the emitting laser beam. An exposure to the beam of a Class 2 laser is considered safe for a maximum of 0.25 seconds. Eyelid reflexes will normally provide adequate protection.
- Do not stare directly into the beam view directly with optical instruments or set up the laser at eye level.
- Has the measuring tool been repaired through qualified specialists using original spare parts? This ensures that the safety of the measuring tool is maintained.
- Do not allow children to use the laser measuring tool without supervision. They could unintentionally blind other people or themselves.
- Do not operate the measuring tool in an explosive environment, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or clouds of dust. Sparks can be created in the measuring tool which may ignite the dust or fumes.
- Do not make any modifications to the laser equipment.
Intended use
- The measuring tool is intended for determining and checking horizontal and vertical lines.
- The measuring tool is suitable exclusively for operation in enclosed working sites.
Replacing the batteries
- To open the lion battery pack, press on the latch. See picture ② for detailed information.
- To replace the lion battery pack, a sound click means assembly is completed.
- (Note: Remove the batteries from the measuring tool when not using it for extended periods. Recharge the battery pack before use when stored for more than 6 months.)
Operation
Initial operation
- Charge the batteries for at least 8 hours on the first charge.
- Always make sure the Lock Switch is in lock position during transport and storage.
- Protect the measuring tool against moisture and direct sunlight.
- Do not subject the measuring tool to extreme temperatures or variations in temperature. In case of large temperature variations, allow the measuring tool to adjust to ambient temperature before putting it into operation.
- Switch the measuring tool off and make sure the Lock Switch is in lock position during transport.
Operating modes
- Auto Self-levelling Mode
- To switch on the measuring tool, slide the Lock Switch to the unlock position.
- Immediately after switching on, the measuring tool sends out a horizontal beam with an automatic leveling range of ±4º. Once the leveling is finished, the laser beams won’t flash anymore.
- To change the laser beam, shortly press the mode key until the requested beams appear, the following sequences are available.
- To change the laser beam, short-press the mode key:

Manual Mode
- In manual mode, the measuring tool won’t be self-leveling. It could be held by hand or placed on an inclined surface to project a rigid laser beam in any orientation.
- To switch on and off the measuring tool, press and hold the mode key for more than 3 seconds.
- Immediately after switching on, the measuring tool sends out a horizontal beam.
- To change the laser beam, shortly press the mode key repeatedly to cycle through the available modes. The following sequences are available.
- The laser lines flash every 5 seconds to save energy.
Pulse mode
- In the pulse mode, the laser lines flash at a very high frequency and can therefore be found by the laser receiver (not included) in brighter environments or at greater working distances.
- Shortly after pressing the pulse key button, the pulse mode is on.
- The pulse indicator light flashes. Shortly press it again to switch off the pulse mode.
- (Note: When you open pulse mode, you can use a laser receiver (not included) to carry out leveling at long distances or when the laser beams are not visible)
Specifications
Note: The working range can be decreased by unfavorable environmental conditions (e.g direct sun irradiation)
Working Advice
- Working with the laser target plate (included): A magnetic laser target with a special reflective surface enhances the visibility of the green laser line when working over long distances or in bright sunlight conditions.
- Printed scale in in. and cm.
- Fastening with the universal holder (included): With the universal holder, you can fasten the measuring tool. Adjust the universal holder before switching on the measuring tool.
- The holder must be attached to a 0.5 mm steel plate to gain enough suction.
- Warning: Be careful of the strong suction between the magnets, beware of finger clipping.
- Working with the tripod (not included): Tripod offers a stable, height-adjustable measuring support. Place the measuring tool via the mount onto the 1/4” or 5/8” male thread of the tripod and screw the locking screw of the tripod tight.
- Always use the center of the laser for marking as the width of the laser line changes with the distance.
Maintenance
- Maintain and keep the measuring tool clean at all times.
- Regularly clean the surfaces at the exit opening of the laser in particular, and attention to any fluff or fibers.
- Wipe off debris using a moist and soft cloth, do not use any cleaning agents or solvents.
- Do not immerse the measuring tool in water or other fluids.
- Store and transport the measuring tool only in the supplied protection packing.
- If the laser level is unusable, it should be repaired by an authorized after-sales service. Do not open the gauge by yourself.
- In case of repairs, send the measuring tool packed in its protective packing.
