Please review complete instructions prior to installing.
Step 1
Verify you have all of the following parts included in the kit:
(1) JLT Plastic Intake tube, (1) 4.5″-4″ Silicone Elbow, (1) 5”x7” Air Filter,
(1) JLT Heat Shield, (1) 64 Clamp, (1) 72 Clamp, (1) IAT Gasket, (1) IAT
Adaptor, (4) M4-.7×10 MAF Screws, (1) Bolt, (2) Push Pins
FOR USE IN 2019-2021 MODELS ONLY: (1) PCV Bracket, (3) 8/32 x5/8 Bracket
Screws (3) 8/32 Nuts (1) Hose with fitting installed
Step 2
Gather all of the following tools needed for the installation:
13mm & 10mm Sockets, Ratchet, 11/32 wrench, 5/16 Nut Driver, Flat screwdriver
or pry tool, Phillips screwdriver, utility knife, light oil
Step 3
Loosen clamp at the throttle body, unplug IAT sensor, PCV Solenoid plug and
PCV line, PULL UP on airbox and remove from the vehicle. Also remove the trim
piece in front of the air box, it’s secured by 2 push pins on the bottomJ and
the single weather strip push pin.
Also, remove the shield under the stock box as shown there maybe one pin to remove on side:
Step 4
Remove the IAT sensor (twist lock) from the stock inlet tube and PCV
fitting(2018 only). Use theJLT supplied gasket, screws and IAT sensor pad to
assemble the JLT tube.
Step 5
Remove the 13mm bolt in the driver side apron panel.
Step 6
Lower heat shield into the area, secure the shield with the supplied push pins
in the front scoop FIRST then use the supplied 13mm stainless bolt to secure
to the side. Push in weather strip push pin into shield.
Step 7
Lower air filter down into the airbox first, then with the silicone reducer on
the tube with clamps loose, connect the tube and air filter then slide onto
throttle body.
Adjust the filter and tube position for best fit and tighten all clamps. You
may need to rotate throttle body coupler for best fitment.
Plug in IAT sensor and PCV connection. TIP: (2018) The PCV line twists at both
ends. Twist and connect to the PCV connection on the tube.
Step 8
CARB E.O. No. D-761-5
Place the supplied CARB EO sticker under the hood in a visible location.
Oil Filter: The frequency you should clean your filter will depend on your
driving conditions. It is recommended to check your filter at every oil change
or 3,000 miles. If there is a buildup of dirt as thick as the wire mesh, then
it’s time to clean your filter.
To properly clean your oil filter, we recommend the S&B Precision Cleaning &
Oiling Kit (located in the Parts Sold Separately Section of our website,
www.JLTtruecoldair.com).

2019-2021 model year Trackhawk PCV Addendum
Step 1
Unplug the PCV fitting and electrical connection in the airbox before
removing from vehicle.
Step 2
Using a utility knife, side cutters or drill, remove the tips of the welded
rivets and remove the PCV solenoid.
Step 3
Use the supplied hardware and bracket to mount the solenoid to the bracket
as shown.
Step 4
Slide the brown O ring up and out of the channel it’s sitting in and use oil
or any lubricant to install the supplied ¾” PCV hose on to the fitting on the
bottom of the solenoid.
Step 5
Use the front strut towner nut to mount the PCV assembly to the vehicle as
shown.
Step 6
Plug in PCV and electrical connection at the solenoid.
Step 7
Use a lubricant(light oil) on the rubber grommet in the tube and connect the
90° fitting from the solenoid connection in the tube.
