IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- DANGER- Risk of shock- Disconnect power before installation.
- This luminaire must be installed in accordance with the NEC or your local electrical code. If you are not familiar with these codes and requirements, consult a qualified electrician
- Suitable for damp locations.
DIRECT MOUNT INSTALLATION
NOTE: Fixture is intended to be wall mounted.
-
Remove the lens from the housing by squeezing the lens and lifting it away from the housing. See Figure 1.
-
Remove the (2) screws near the ends of the LED panel. Retain screws for later use. See Figure 2.
-
Flip the LED panel forward to expose the driver(s) and wiring compartment. See Figure 3.
-
Remove appropriate knockout from fixture housing for supply wire entry.
-
Use the supplied cardboard mounting template to mark the locations of the (4) mounting screws. See Figure 4.
NOTE: Make sure fixture is positioned to allow supply wires to enter through chosen knockout location. -
Install customer supplied #8 mounting screws appropriate for the mounting surface at the marked locations. Thread the screws into the mounting surface, but stop when the screw heads are approximately 1/4″ from the surface.
-
Feed the supply leads through the knockout removed in Step 4.
-
Bring the fixture to the mounting surface and pass the screw heads through the holes in the keyhole slots on the back wall of the fixture housing. Allow the fixture to drop down over the screws and fully tighten the (4) mounting screws.
-
Select the desired CCT and fixture wattage using the DIP switches. See Figure 5.
-
Wire fixture per the appropriate Electrical Connections section.
NOTE: Dimming of the fixture will be controlled by the occupancy sensor. -
Rotate the optics panel back up into position and reinstall screws that were removed in Step 2 to retain panel. See Figure 6.
-
Reinstall lens on fixture. Start at one end of the fixture and squeeze lens to allow slots in lens to engage with flanges on fixture. Work down toward opposite end of fixture until lens is fully retained. See Figure 7.
NOTE: Pull on lens to make sure it is properly retained. -
Supply power to fixture.
-
Refer to Ultrasonic Occupancy Sensor- Operation and Programming to properly configure sensor.
EMERGENCY DRIVER CHECK
(For Luminaires Equipped With Emergency Driver)
NOTE: Emergency driver and AC driver must be fed from the same branch
circuit.
NOTE: For short-term testing of the emergency function, the battery must
be charged for at least one hour. The emergency driver must be charged for at
least 24 hours before conducting a long-term test.
STEP 1:
When AC power is applied, the charging indicator light is illuminated,
indicating the battery is being charged. When power fails, the emergency
driver automatically switches to emergency power, operating the LED array.
When AC power is restored, the emergency driver returns to the charging mode.
STEP 2:
Although no routine maintenance is required to keep the emergency driver
functional, it should be checked periodically to ensure that it is working.
The following schedule is recommended:
- Visually inspect the charging indicator light monthly. It should be illuminated.
- Test the emergency operation of the fixture at 30-day intervals for a minimum of 30 seconds. When the test switch is depressed, the LED array should operate.
- Conduct a 90-minute discharge test once a year. The LED array should operate for at least 90 minutes.
If the fixture fails any of these checks, consult service personnel.
EM Test Button Status Light Indicator:
- Charging – red light on
- EM discharging – red light off
- EM damaged – red light off
- Test switch button pressed – red light off
REFER ANY SERVICING INDICATED BY THESE CHECKS TO A QUALIFIED PERSONNEL EMERGENCY DRIVER AND AC DRIVER MUST BE FED FROM THE SAME BRANCH CIRCUIT.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Emergency Driver
NOTE: Dimming of the fixture is controlled by the occupancy sensor.
Make the following Electrical Connections:
- a. Connect the black fixture lead labeled Connected Driver to the voltage supply lead (Hot 1 for 208/240V wiring).
- b. Connect the white fixture lead to the neutral supply lead (Hot 2 for 208/240V wiring).
- c. Connect the green ground lead to the supply ground lead. Tuck all wires carefully into wiring chamber ensuring that no wires are pinched.
Fixtures Equipped with Emergency Driver
NOTE: Dimming of the fixture is controlled by the occupancy sensor. Make the following Electrical Connections:
STEP 1:
- a. Connect the black fixture lead labeled Connected Both Driver & EM to the voltage supply lead. (Hot 1 for 208/240V wiring).
- b. Connect the white fixture lead to the neutral supply lead (Hot 2 for 208/240V wiring).
- c. Connect the green ground lead to the supply ground lead.
Tuck all wires carefully into wiring chamber ensuring that no wires are pinched.
ULTRASONIC OCCUPANCY SENSOR- OPERATION AND PROGRAMMING
NOTE: Dimming of the fixture will be controlled by the occupancy sensor.
- Upon initial power up, the sensor will turn on to 100% fixture output and then dim to off after 20 seconds. After that, it will run based upon the programmed time delay and dim level.
- During standard operation, the sensor will turn on and maintain the fixture at 100% output while motion is detected. The fixture will then dim to the light level set by the dip switches after motion is no longer detected and the time delay has expired. The fixture will remain at this dim level indefinitely until motion is again detected.
SENSOR SETTING (SEE FIGURE 7):
- Detection Range- The detection range trimpot has 3 settings (low/medium/high)
- Low- Turn trimpot fully counterclockwise
- Medium- Turn trimpot to center position
- High- Turn trimpot fully clockwise
- Time Delay- The time delay trimpot has 3 settings ( 1min/ 5 min/ 20 min)
- 1 min- Turn trimpot fully counterclockwise
- 5 min- Turn trimpot to center position
- 20 min- Turn trimpot fully clockwise
- Dimming Level- The dimming level is set using the (2) DIP switches in the center of the sensor. There are 4 possible dim settings ( OFF/ 10%/ 25% / 50%).
- OFF- DIP switch 1 off, DIP switch 2 off
- 10%- DIP switch 1 off, DIP switch 2 on
- 25%- DIP switch 1 on, DIP switch 2 off
- 50%- DIP switch 1 on, DIP switch 2 on
TEST MODE:
Test mode is useful in programming the detection range. Pressing the test
button puts the sensor in test mode. Test mode runs for 5 minutes and sets the
time delay to 5 seconds. The red motion LED will flash twice to indicate the
sensor is in test mode. After either 5 minutes has elapsed or the test button
is pushed again, the red motion LED will flash 3 times to indicate the sensor
is returning to normal operation based on the programmed time delay and dim
level.
