Product Usage Instructions

General Information

  1. A qualified electrician, following IEE wiring regulations, should handle mains wiring connections.
  2. Always turn off mains power during maintenance.
  3. Ensure the rated voltage and frequency match the available mains supply.
  4. Clean reflectors and lenses with soft, lint-free cloths and anti-static cleaning fluid.
  5. Avoid high voltage insulation tests as they may damage internal components.
  6. For LED version: Class 2 insulated, no earth connection needed. Metal halide version: Class 1 insulated, must be earthed.
  7. Some outdoor luminaires may accumulate condensation due to temperature differences; this is acceptable under BSEN60598.
  8. Only the manufacturer, service agent, or qualified individual should replace the light source.

LED Installation Sequence

All measurements in mm unless stated otherwise.

  1. Remove the fitting from packaging.
  2. Bolt the luminaire to a suitable strong surface.
  3. Aim using main pivot bolt and fixing screw.
  4. Fix Live / Neutral conductors to power connector using securing screws.
  5. Plug power connector into the socket at the bottom of the luminaire.
  6. Use accessory EFLBKT76 and EFLWG as needed for installation.

FAQ

  • Q: Can I carry out high voltage insulation tests on this product?
    A: No, high voltage insulation tests should not be performed as they may damage internal components.

  • Q: Is an earth connection required for the LED version of the product?
    A: No, the LED version is Class 2 insulated and does not require an earth connection.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. A qualified electrician, in accordance with IEE wiring regulations, should carry out connection to mains wiring.
  2. Ensure mains power is turned off during maintenance.
  3. Ensure that the rated voltage and frequency requirements are compatible with the available mains supply.
  4. Cleaning of reflectors and lenses should be carried out using clean, soft and lint free cloths and anti-static cleaning fluid.
  5. Do not carry out high voltage insulation test, i.e. 500/1000v this may damage internal components.
  6. LED version: Class 2 insulated and so does not require an earth connection. Conventional metal halide version: Class 1 insulated and must be earthed.
  7. Some luminaires installed in outdoor environments may experience a build-up of internal condensation. This is due to a difference in temperature between inside and outside the luminaire which is quite common and acceptable under BSEN60598.
  8. Replacing the light source within this luminaire shall only be carried out by the manufacturer, service agent or a similar qualified person.

LED INSTALLATION SEQUENCE

All measurements in mm unless stated otherwise
The LED version is class 2 insulated and does not require an earth connection.

Remove the fitting from all of the packaging.

  1. Luminaire to be bolted to a suitable surface strong enough to take the loads applied (Point 1).
  2. Point of aiming (Point 2) to be done via main pivot bolt (Point 3) and fixing screw (Point 4)
  3. Fix the Live / Neutral conductors of the 2 core supply flex to the power connector using the securing screws (Point 5).
  4. Plug the power connector in the socket located at the bottom of the luminaire. (Point 6).
  5. Accessory EFLBKT76. Use the two bolts supplied to fix the luminaire to the pole attachment. Clamp the attachment to the pole using the rear allen bolt.
  6. Accessory EFLWG. Attach the wire guard to the front of the luminaire using the four screws supplied.
