OPERATION

The operation of the freezer is controlled by the appliance’s thermostat knob (the knob is moved clockwise from the minimum to the maximum position, back and forth with the use of a coin). THERMOSTAT REGULATOR
The thermostat control located on the control panel regulates the temperature of the freezer compartment.
“Minimum” setting – cold
“Normal” setting – colder, standard setting
“Maximum” setting – coldest (freezing fresh food) This temperature is affected by:

  • Room temperature
  • Door opening frequency
  • Amount of food stored
  • Device setting

All these factors must be considered when setting the correct temperature. Initial trials may be necessary.
TEMPERATURE SELECTION

  • A higher position of the thermostat knob (closer to “maximum”) means a lower temperature in the freezer. For normal ambient temperatures, it is recommend to place the knob at the medium (“normal”) position.
  • A change in the ambient temperature affects the temperature inside the freezer. Adjust the setting of the thermostat knob to the conditions outside.
  • The temperature inside the freezer also depends on how often the door is opened.

STARTING THE DEVICE

  1. Leave the device for 2 hours after mounting.
  2. Connect the device to the network and turn it on.
  3. Turn the thermostat knob to the desired setting. The middle setting corresponds to normal operation (see thermostat control).
  4. Before placing the food inside, leave the appliance for about 4 hours and allow it to reach the correct temperature.

FREEZING FRESH PRODUCTS

  • The freezer may only be used to freeze products that are suitable for freezing and tolerate low temperatures. The products must be fresh and of the best possible quality.
  • It is recommended to choose the right packaging as well as correct packing method.
  • The packaging must not allow air and moisture to pass through, otherwise the food may dry out and vitamins may be lost.
  • The foil and bags must be soft so that they adhere well to the surface of the products.
  • The type, quantity and date of freezing of the products should be marked on the packed products.
  • It is very important for the products to freeze quickly; thus, it is recommended using smaller portions and chilling them a little before placing them into the freezer.
  • The maximum amount of fresh food that should be placed in the freezer at one time in 24 hours is 4 kg. If the amount of products is greater than the recommended quantity, the freezing quality is reduced and the quality of the frozen products deteriorates.

FREEZING METHOD

  • Freeze the products in the quick freeze compartment (upper compartment).
  • 24 hours before putting in the products to be frozen, set the thermostat knob to the “maximum” position.
  • After 12 hours, put the products into the freezer.
  • After 24 hours, the frozen products can be placed in the storage baskets, repeat the freezing cycle for the next products if necessary. Fresh food should not come into contact with previously frozen food.
  • About 24 hours after putting in the last batch of fresh produce, turn the thermostat knob to the “normal” position.

STORAGE OF FROZEN PRODUCTS
The storage period and temperature are marked on the packaging of industrially frozen prod- ucts. When storing and preparing purchased frozen foods, follow the manufacturer’s instructions. For purchase, choose frozen foods properly packaged, accurately labelled and stored in freezers at a minimum temperature of -18°C. Do not buy products with frost on them, as this is a sign that they have already been defrosted and re-frozen. Purchased frozen food must be protected before defrosting, as their higher temperature at the time of placing in the freezer shortens the storage time and deteriorates their quality.
DE-FROZING FROZEN FOOD
Thawed or thawing food should be used quickly. Low temperature preserves food but does not destroy microorganisms that quickly become active and spoil food during defrosting. Partial defrosting reduces the nutritional value of products, especially vegetables and fruits, as well as ready meals.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

FREEZER DEFROSTING
Frost and ice form inside the freezer, which must be removed when their layer reaches a thickness of about 3-5 mm.

  • 24 hours before the planned defrosting of the device, set the thermostat knob to the “maximum” position so as to cool the products as much as possible. After this  time, remove the contents of the freezer and protect the products from defrosting.
  • Turn off the power to the appliance and place a tray of defrosted frost in front of the freezer.
  • When defrosting, do not use chemical defrosting agents as they can damage the plastic parts of the freezer and are harmful to health as well.

CLEANING THE FREEZER
Before cleaning the device, disconnect it from the power supply. Do not use corrosive and harsh cleaning agents to avoid damaging the surface. When cleaning, be careful to remove any residue of cleaning agents.

  • Clean the outside of the device with water and liquid detergent. Painted surfaces should be cleaned with a soft cloth and an alcohol-based cleaning agent (e.g. glass cleaner). Alcohol can be use for that purpose. It is forbidden to clean plastic or painted parts with grainy or harsh cleaning agents, such as stainless steel cleaners.
  • Clean the inside of the device with lukewarm water and vinegar.
  • The condenser on the back of the device can be cleaned with a soft, non-metallic brush or remove the dust with a vacuum cleaner. After washing is done, connect the device to the electricity supply, turn it on and quickly put the products inside.

STOPS IN USING THE FREEZER
If the appliance will not be used for a long time, disconnect it from the power source, remove all the food stored inside, then defrost and wash it. The door should open.
CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF OPENING DOOR
The side on which the door opens can be changed from the right (factory setting) to the left, if such and action is required by the mounting site.
Warning! The device cannot be connected to the network while changing the door opening side.
Remove the mains plug beforehand.
Tilt the device slightly backwards and support it to keep it stable. Remove the door hinge
bolts and the hinge pin bracket.
Open the door slightly and pull it out downwards.MPM-100-ZS-05H Drawer
Freezer - device slightlyUnscrew the upper pin and screw it into place on the opposite side.
Put the door on top pin and close it.
Screw the hinge pin bracket firmly into place on the opposite side using screws
If the door opening direction is considered as a nuisance, it can be changed.
For this purpose, holes are made on the opposite side of the device housing and covered with plugs.

  • Unscrew the lower hinge with the foot and the washer and remove the door.
  • Using a screwdriver (counter-clockwise), unscrew the pin serving as the upper hinge and screw it on the opposite side.
  • In place of the corner of the door with the opening, insert the corner without the opening and vice versa.
  • Put the door on the bolts acting as the upper hinge.
  • Place the pin of the lower hinge with the foot (together with the washer) in the corner with the hole and screw the lower hinge.
  • Finally check the adherence of the magnetic seals (the seal must not be twisted and must adhere precisely along its entire length). All places, where the gasket does not adhere to the housing of the device, should be heated from an appropriate distance (e.g. with a hair dryer), and then gently stretch it to the desired length of the gasket.

TROUBLESHOOTING

During the use of the freezer, malfunctions may occur. List containing some possible disturbances, which are most often the result of incorrect operation of the device, can be found below and easily eliminate by the user.
THE DEVICE DOES NOT WORK AFTER CONNECTING TO THE MAINS

  • Check for the presence of the voltage in the socket and turn the device on (by turning knob into the operating position).

THE COOLING SYSTEM RUNS CONTINUOUSLY FOR A LONG TIME

  • Door opened too often or left open for too long.
  • The door is not properly closed (possible presence of an object, loose hinges, damaged seal)
  • Too much fresh food inserted.
  • Check the correct air circulation problems due to insufficient cooling of the compressor andcondenser, at the back of the unit. The condenser must be clean.

NOISE
Cooling in refrigeration equipment is possible thanks to the operation of the cooling system with a compressor, which causes a certain noise. The noise level depends on the setting, correct operation and age of the device.

  • When the compressor is running, a noise of the liquid can be heard; when the compressor stops, refrigerant overflows. This is normal and does not affect the life of the device.
  • After starting the unit, the compressor operation and refrigerant overflow may be louder. This is not a defect and does not affect the life of the device. Over time, the volume of these noises decreases.
  • Occasionally, unexpected or stronger noises occur in the operation of the freezer, which are not characteristic of the normal operation of the appliance. They are usually caused by an incorrect setting of the freezer.
  • the device must be placed flat on a firm surface
  • must not touch the wall and adjacent elements
  • ensure that the interior equipment is placed correctly
