IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

  •  Please read all instructions carefully before using your appliance.
  • Never touch the appliance with wet hands.
  • Keep the appliance away from water.
  • Do not immerse the power cord, plug or main body in water or any other liquid.
  • Always unplug the appliance from a power outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
  • Do not let the power cord hang over sharp edges or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged. In such case, return the appliance to an authorised service centre.
  • Always wait until the blade has completely stopped before disassembling.
  • Take special care when handling the cutting blades, especially during disassembling and washing.
  • Using attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may result in damage to the appliance, fire or personal injury.
  •  Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
  • Never place the appliance on hot surfaces.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • When operating the appliance keep your hands away from moving parts.
  • Before cleaning the blending attachment, first remove it from the appliance.
  • Make sure that all attachments are securely and correctly fitted before operating the appliance.
  • Never place the appliance near any electrical devices, burners, cookers, ovens, etc.
  • The appliance must only be used for its intended purpose.
  • Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental ca-abilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if  they understand the hazards involved.
  • Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
  • This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
  • Make sure that children do not play with the appliance.
  • The appliance has been designed for the use in household only.
  • Do not pull the plug by holding the power cord.
  • Do not connect the power plug with wet hands.
  • Keep your children safe: do not leave any parts of the packaging readily accessible (i.e. plastic bags, cardboard boxes, polystyrene inserts, etc.).
  • WARNING! Never let children play with plastic film or bags. Choking/asphyxiation hazard!
  • WARNING! The cutting blades are very sharp, avoid touching them while emptying or cleaning the appliance – it may result in serious injury.

ASSEMBLING AND USING THE APPLIANCE

NOTE! Wash all attachments and containers before first use.
Fit the blending attachment 2 onto the motor body 1 until it locks into place. To remove the blending attachment 2 press the release buttons 3 and slide it out, with the blade pointing downwards. Take care not to hurt yourself or damage  any parts of the appliance when removing the attachment.
Model MBL-11 has an additional 1750ml container 7 with a lid and a chopping blade 15 and two-sided slicing/shredding discs 12 13 14 as well as a whisking attachment 17 .

FITTING THE CHOPPING BLADE

Remove the lid 8 from the container 7 , turning it counter clockwise. Fit the chopping blade 15 over the pin in the centre of the container, then close the container so that the end of the chopping blade 15 fits into the lid 8 . Screw on the lid  8 clockwise.
FITTING THE CUTTING DISCS
Remove the lid 8 from the container 7 , turning it counter clockwise. Fit the disc drive shaft 16 onto the pin in the centre of the container, then fit the selected disc 12  13 14 onto the disc drive shaft (13) and close the container so that the  end of the disc 12 13 14 fits into the lid 8 . Screw on the lid 8 clockwise.
FITTING THE WHISKING ATTACHMENT FOR BEATING EGG WHITES AND WHISKING LIGHT CREAMS AND SAUCES
Fit the attachment for beating egg whites 17 onto the motor body 1 until it locks into place.
To remove the attachment for beating egg whites 17 press the release button 3 and slide it out.
SPEED DIAL
The appliance comes with a variable speed dial 6 which allows adjusting the motor speed to your needs. Rotate the speed dial 6 clockwise for faster blending and counter clockwise for slower blending.
TURBO BUTTON
The TURBO button 5 increases the appliance speed to maximum speed for a short time. The TURBO function is engaged only when the TURBO button 5 is pressed. The TURBO power corresponds to the highest speed that can be achieved using the speed dial 6 . Press and hold the TURBO button to operate your hand blender at its highest speed.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Make sure the unit is unplugged from the mains supply socket before cleaning.
  2. Before and after each use dismantle all parts in contact with food and wash thoroughly in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Do not dish wash any of the appliance parts.
  4. Inspect the attachments periodically before refitting. Do not use the blender if the blades of the blending attachment 2 are blocked or the motor slows.
  5. Never immerse the appliance in water. Unplug the blender from the mains supply socket and then wipe the motor body with a damp cloth.
  6. The motor is lubricated for life – no additional lubrication is required.

Used equipment should be handed-over to a point for collection of electric waste.
