BEFORE FIRST USE
- Remove the radiator from the box and discard any bags, stickers and polystyrene fi llers.
- Check the device for any damage during transport and contact the seller when in doubt.
- Ensure that your mains network matches the nameplate ratings of the appliance.
- Install the radiator castors following the instructions below.
INSTALLING THE CASTORS
- Carefully position the appliance upside down (preferably on a soft surface, e.g. a carpet or floor lining), taking care to avoid any damage to the protective coating on the radiator.
- Remove the metal castor supports and metal wire clamps (Fig. 1).
- Use the metal wire clamps to fit the metal supports between the rib recesses (Fig 2, 3 and 4).
- Put the appliance back to the normal position.
USING THE APPLIANCE
-
Place the appliance on a hard, stable, dry, level and even surface. Ensure that there is enough clearance around and above the appliance to allow unobstructed circulation of air.
-
Connect the radiator to the mains network.
-
Activate the heating process by using rotary switch (2). There are three selectable heating power levels:
- Low (1) – 800 W (MUG-21: 1000W)
- Medium (2) – 1200 W (MUG-21: 1500W)
- High (3) – 2000 W (MUG-21: 2500W).
-
Set the thermostat knob (3) in the appropriate position. Turning the knob clockwise increas-es the heater temperature, and turning it anticlockwise decreases the temperature. Once the set temperature has been reached, the radiator will automatically switch on and off to maintain the temperature at the set level.
NOTE: WHEN TURNING ON THE APPLIANCE, THE THERMOSTAT KNOB MUST BE SET TO THE MAXIMUM LEVEL (MAX). -
The integrated fan heater may be used to heat the room quicker. Use switch (4) to turn on the fan heater (400 W). When the fan heater is operating, the ON/OFF switch (4) illumination is on.
-
To turn off the radiator, use the individual switches to deactivate all active processes, set the thermostat knob to the minimum position (MIN), then disconnect the radiator from the mains and wait until it cools down.
NOTE! The oil inside the radiator is a thermal energy accumulator, so the radiator remains hot for a long time after it has been turned off. Proceed with care to avoid getting burnt.
NOTE! Your oil-filled heater has a tip-over safety switch. This switches the device off as soon as it is no longer stable and could fall over.
