AUXBEAM 2023 Upgraded 9 Inch LED Headlights

Installation Steps

1. Open the bonnet and remove the six push clips on the grille, then remove the grille.
2. Remove the three screws fixing the headlight and pull out the plug on the back of the headlight.
3. Connect the new headlight to the decoder and the extension cord to the DRL.
4. The other connector of the extension cord is for the DRLs on the passenger side. Run the extension cord through the back of the headlight so that the DRLs for the passenger side headlight are connected to the remaining connector.
5. Pull the fender liner back to gain access to the side marker bracket. Remove the bolts and loosen the two bolts holding the bracket in place. Locate the stock JL Fender Wire Harness connector.
6. Pull back the wheel liner, we can see factory fender light wires. The positive wires of factory turn signals are white-green (on the left driver’s side) and white-beige (on the right passenger side). The ground wires of factory turn signals are black on both sides. (Note: wire colours may vary)
7. Using T-tap connectors, connect the red wire at the end of the Turn Signal wire of the new LED fog lights to the factory positive turn signal wires. Connect the ground (black) wire from the Turn Signal wire to the ground wire on the fender’s turn signal.
8. The angle of lighting can be adjusted by the screw on the back of the LED headlight.
9. Connect the decoder to the socket on the car and screw the headlight screws back in to complete the headlight section.

How to use T-tap connectors

1. Put the wire in the connector.
2. Press the connector until it locks.
3. Insert the wire into the spade connector and crimp it.
4. Plug the spade connector directly into the T-Tap.

How to connect DRLs and fuses to the fuse box

In the previous steps we have installed the headlights and turn signals, all that remains is to connect the extension cord to the fuse and then connect the fuse

ADD-A-CIRCUIT INFORMATION

1. Place the extension cord near the fuse box, open the fuse box and locate the F52 position.
2. Insert the new fuse into the F52 location while inserting the original fuse into the side of the fuse.
3. Connect the positive wire of the extension cord to the fuse.
4. If you don’t find the location of F52 in the fuse box. The cover of the fuse box is labelled with the part, which allows you to identify which fuse is F52.
5. Connect the black wire from the DRL wires to any metal part of the vehicle. Assemble the removed grille back together. Thanks for reading!
