Product Usage Instructions
Removing Augers, Gears, and Shaft Sleeve
- Turn off and unplug the machine.
- Remove the bowl.
- Remove the horizontal auger.
- Remove the auger gear.
- Unscrew the fastening nut from the top of the vertical auger and remove the auger and gear.
- Remove both side and back panels using a phillips head screwdriver.
- Remove the motor by unscrewing three nuts with a ratchet (10 mm socket), save the screws.
- Using a 5.5 mm nut driver, remove the nut from the shear pin and pull up on the square nut to remove the steel shaft.
- Remove the shaft sleeve by pulling it up.
- Discard the old augers, gears, and stainless shafts as they are not compatible with the new components.
Installing New Shafts, Gears, and Augers
- Insert the shaft sleeve into the machine.
- Re-install the ring nut.
- Re-install the motor and tighten the nuts.
- Install the new steel shaft.
- Install the new augers and gear.
- Re-install the bowl.
- Plug-in and turn on the machine.

This document explains how to use kit part number
XCBB0100
to replace the gears, augers and shaft of a Mini Soft Serve Countertop
Freezer.
Note: Components in this kit are designed to be installed together.
Individual components are not backward compatible.
TOOLS YOU WILL NEED
- Ratchet with 10 mm Socket
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- 5.5 mm Nut Driver
- 5 mm Hex Wrench
REMOVE THE AUGERS, GEARS AND SHAFT SLEEVE

Electrical Shock Hazard
Unplug the unit before servicing.

Turn off and unplug the machine.

Remove the bowl.

Remove the horizontal auger.

Remove the auger gear.

Unscrew the fastening nut from the top of the vertical auger.

Remove the auger and gear.
Remove the shaft -
Remove both side and back panels with a phillips head screwdriver.

Using the 5.5 mm nut driver, remove the nut from the shear pin and remove the shear pin from the machine. Save the shear pin.

Pull up on the square nut and completely remove the steel shaft from the machine.

The motor is secured by three nuts. Using a ratchet with a 10 mm socket, remove the two nuts at the rear of the motor. Save the screws. The front nut only needs to be loosened. Remove the motor from the machine.

Remove the ring nut using a 5 mm hex wrench.

Pull up on the shaft sleeve to remove the shaft sleeve from the machine.

Discard the augers, gears and stainless shaft. They are not compatible with the components in the kit.
INSTALL NEW SHAFT, GEAR AND AUGERS
- Insert the shaft sleeve to the machine.
- Re-install the ring nut.
- Re-install the motor. Re-insert and tighten the two nuts at the rear of the motor. Re-tighten the front nut.
- Install the new steel shaft to the machine.
- Re-install the shear pin.
- Using a phillips head screwdriver, re-install the back and both side panels to the machine.
- Install the new augers and gear.
- Re-install the bowl.
- Plug-in and turn on the machine.
