SAFETY PRECAUTION
Safety Caution
CAUTION: Please read the following information completely before using this product.
- Never use any other battery except the original battery; otherwise, it will result in severe damage.
- Please use our accessories, such as Pen tips, adaptors, and batteries.
- The temperature of the tip is very high during the surgery, to prevent it from being burned, please avoid direct contact with the oral soft tissue.
- Please keep the product clean.
- Don’t use the device for the patient who has a heart pacemaker with him.

Intended Use
- The obturation pen supports the vertical compaction of gutta-percha for the root canal (mainly the apical parts) filling.
- It is intended exclusively for use by trained dentists and use only in clinics or laboratories.
Construction and Installation
- This product consists of the pen tip, obturation Pen, battery, charging base and adaptor.
Installation of the pen tip and battery
Warning: Keep the unit shut down before the pen tips are installed.
Usage Function
- Heating button
- Power button
- Mode indicators
- Hold the power button 2 for more than 2S to turn on the unit, indicators will turn on; hold it again for more than 2S to turn off the unit.
- Short press power button 2 can switch between 180°C, 200 °C,230°C, 300°C temperature mode.
* **Notice:** If a large amount of gutta-percha is used, raise the temperature setting to 230°C.
3. Hold one of (both of )the heating buttons to heat the tip, and a beep will come out from the unit at the same time; release the heating buttons to stop the heating and the beep, only 3s can the tip reach the working temperature.
Usage notices
- To avoid overheating, the device will stop and into the protection mode automatically after heating over 30s. To continue the heating, release the button during the protection mode and press the button again.
- For saving power, the unit will be turned off after 2 min without any operation.
Charge
- If the unit is under low voltage, all the LED indicators will flash at the same time, and alarms, then the unit will automatically shut down, and the battery should be charged by the charging base.
- The charging base can be available for two batteries at the same time. When it connects to the power source, the LED indicator on the adaptor will be turned on.
- In the process of charging, the indicators on the charging base will display yellow; after finishing the charge, it will turn green and the system will automatically stop charging.
- The unit should be continuously charged for more than 4.5 hours from low voltage to full charge.

Preparation-hand plugger
- Prepare 2~3plugger to compact gutta-percha, and mark root canal length with a rubber stopper.

Preparation-pen tip

Dry root canal
- Select a proper pen tip for the root canal.
- Dry the root canal using a paper point.

Select the gutta percha point

Mark the length of the pen tip
- Select a proper gutta percha point that matches the root canal to check it makes a tug back.
- Select a proper pen tip and proper plugger, the length of the tip should be 4-6mm shorter than the working length, then mark a length with a rubber stopper.

Insert gutta percha point

Removal of excess gutta-percha
- Coat 3mm from the tip with sealer, and insert it into the root canal with pumping action.
- Cut the excess gutta percha with a pen tip.

Compaction
- Heat and insert pen tip with gutta percha to 4~6mm short of the working length.
- Stop the heating and maintain the pressure for about 10 seconds.

Removal of the pen tip

Compact
- Removal after heating the pen tip for 1~2s to avoid gutta percha coming out with the pen tip.
- Compact the warmed gutta percha with a plugger.
Troubleshooting
- If the pen tip can’t work properly, please check if the installation is reliable, otherwise, please change a new pen tip.
- If the LED indicators on the charging base are off during the charging, please check if the charging base is well connected to the power source.
Cleaning and Sterilization
- Surfaces can be cleaned with a soft towel and a mild detergent or rubbing alcohol.
- It is recommended that the pen tip be changed after each patient and when damage is detected or suspected. Discard used needles in biohazard container.
- The needle and the thermal protector must be sterilized before first use and between patients, autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes or 135°C for 4 minutes.

The warranty of this equipment is 2 years, batteries and adaptor are 6 months, and other accessories are not included in the warranty.
