This Comelit product has been designed and manufactured for use in the creation of audio and video communication systems in residential, commercial, industrial and public buildings.

All activities connected to the installation of Comelit products must be carried out by qualified technical personnel, with careful observation of the indications provided in the manuals / instruction sheets supplied with those products.

Disconnect the power supply before carrying out any operations on the wiring.

Use wires with a cross-section suited to the distances involved, observing the instructions provided in the system manual.

We advise against running the system wires through the same duct as power cables (230V or higher).

To ensure Comelit products are used safely: carefully observe the indications provided in the manuals / instruction sheets; make sure the system created using Comelit products has not been tampered with / damaged.

Comelit products do not require maintenance aside from routine cleaning, which should be carried out in accordance with the indications provided in the Manuals / Instruction sheets. Any repairs must be carried out: for the products themselves, exclusively by Comelit Group S.p.A.; for the systems, by qualified technical personnel.

This product falls within the scope of European product directive 2012/19/UE concerning the management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). The device should not be disposed of as unsorted domestic waste as it consists of various materials that can be recycled at relevant premises. Contact your local authority to find out the location of the environmental companies best suited to receiving the product for disposal and subsequent proper recycling. Installing art. 3455U
- MEASUREMENTS FOR CREATING CUSTOM MONOLITH ENTRANCE PANELS
- The entrance panel plate should be 2.5 mm thick.
- The minimum distance from the hole for the audio or audio/video module and the hole for the Touch module is 51.25 mm. The maximum distance varies depending on the position of the audio or audio/video module on the plate. The length of cables C (50 cm) and D (47.5 cm) supplied

When the access code 00000 (5 digits by default) is entered, the touch screen is deactivated for 30 seconds to allow cleaning to take place
Programming
- To make full use of the available functions, ALL modules making up the external entrance panel must be updated to the latest firmware version, which is available to download from the website pro.comelitgroup.com.
Use ViP Manager software, available to download from the website pro.comelitgroup.com, to carry out the update.
There are 2 programming methods:
- Programming via Touch module. This can be used to perform basic configurations quickly and easily, for device startup: manage users (add, edit and delete user), select operating language, manage access codes… (see page 22)
- Programming via ViP Manager software (available to download free of charge from the website pro.comelitgroup.com). In addition to the basic configurations, this allows full and customised programming: change call layout, set a pre-saved or custom screensaver, activate RFID keys, set welcome message, customise buttons by adding images or company logos… (see page 23)
Programming via Touch module
To access the Settings menu:
- Press the lock-release button
- Press
- Enter the supercode (default: 778899)
NOTE: to guarantee security, we recommend changing the supercode.
SELECT LANGUAGE
Used to set the desired language
LAYOUT TYPE
Used to select the display type for the Touch module screen
- Name directory : show call buttons
- Direct call : show a keyboard used to call the user directly when the call address is known
- Call with Name Search : display allowing manual searching for user names
- Dual button direct.: show dual call buttons
SYSTEM TYPE
Used to select the call type:
- Standard (Simplebus) : in this mode, the user is identified by a name field and a call address field no longer than 3 digits (between 1 and 240).
- Example: Name = John Smith
- Call address = 2
- Indirect call: i n this mode the user is identified by a name field, a call address field and an indirect call code field no longer than 6 characters.
- Example: Name = John Smith
- Call address = 2 | Indirect call code = 100
- Simplekey synchronised: in this mode the user is identified as described in standard mode and the user directory is synchronised via the Simplekey module art. SK9020,
- Simplebus Top: in this mode, the user is identified by a name field, a Simplebus Top address field no longer than 3 digits (between 1 and 500) and a call address field of 3 digits (between 1 and 240).
- Example: Name = John Smith
- Simplebus Top address = 25
- Call address = 015
- SBC TOP indirect call: in this mode, the user is identified by a name field, a Simplebus Top address field no longer than 3 digits (between 1 and 500), a call address field of 3 digits (between 1 and 240) and an indirect code no longer than 6 characters.
- Example: Name = John Smith
- Simplebus Top address = 25
- Call address = 015
- Indirect call code = 100
- Simplekey synchronized Simplebus Top: in this mode the user is identified as described in Simplebus Top mode and the user directory is synchronised via the Simplekey module art. SK9020.
MANAGE USERS
Used to: add a user to the directory, edit/delete a user, delete the directory
Add user
For each contact, enter:
- name*
- second name
- description
- call address*
- Simplebus Top address* (Simplebus Top systems only)
- indirect call code* (only with indirect call type) add access code: enter the access code for the user you are configuring add RFID key: enter the RFID key code or pass it in front of the reader
- visible: make the button you are programming visible or not (default: visible)
Once configuration is complete, press and confirm you wish to save
Edit user

Press to edit the information for that contact

Press to delete the desired user
Once configuration is complete, press and confirm you wish to save -
Delete directory
- Press “Delete directory” to remove all saved contacts

MANAGE SUPERCODE
Used to edit the supercode ( default 778899) -
NOTE: the code must consist of at least 4 and no more than 6 characters
Once configuration is complete, press and confirm you wish to save
KEYBOARD
Used to customise the keyboard
- Set the keypad type by selecting one of the available options: Large buttons, QWERTY, AZERTY
- Set the keyboard format by selecting one of the following: Lower case, Upper case
RFID READER

Used to manage the RFID reader on the Touch module

Enable: enables RFID reader operation in standard mode
- the symbol turns red when the reader is enabled
- the symbol flashes in green when an authorised RFID key is read
- the symbol flashes in red when an unauthorised RFID key is read

Enable- RS485: enables operation in conjunction with access control unit art.

SK9020. the symbol turns red when the control unit is connected
- the symbol flashes in green when an authorised RFID key is read
- the symbol flashes in red when an unauthorised RFID key is read

- Enab.-Wiegand: enables operation in conjunction with access control units which utilise Wiegand protocol. The maximum connection cable distance is 150 metres (UTP cable, CAT.5)
- Disable: disables reader operation

DISPLAY
- Used to customise the maximum and minimum screen brightness

DATE AND TIME
- Used to set the device date and time

NOTE : the date and time are only visible if enabled via ViP Manager

BLUETOOTH
- Used to connect the Touch module to a computer (see page 23).

RESET
- Used to restore the factory-set information
- At the end of the procedure the Touch module restarts

BACKUP/RESTORE
Used to force* backup of the device configurations for an up-to-date backup, and so that the configurations can be restored by loading an existing backup.
The micro-SD card provided can be used to save all the settings and logs for Touch module art. 3455U. This data is updated once a day.
CAUTION: the MicroSD must be inserted into the device for backup and restore procedures -
If the device is replaced, these settings can be copied to a new Touch module as follows:
- Remove the micro-SD card from the Touch module being replaced
- Insert it into the new Touch module
- Access the “Backup and restore” menu and restore the configuration.

Programming via ViP Manager
To view and program the entrance panel via ViP Manager:
- Download the software free of charge from the website pro.comelitgroup.com
- Connect the computer to the Touch module using one of the following methods:
- A Bluetooth
- Micro-USB
- C LAN
- Search for the device to configure as described on page 25
Connecting the computer via Bluetooth (wireless technology)
- √ The computer must have a Windows operating system.
- √ The computer must have Bluetooth enabled and must allow other
Bluetooth devices to be found.

At the end of the procedure on the Touch module, the device is identified as “Connected” and “Authorised -
Press to return to the ViP Manager screen

Press repeatedly to return to the “Settings” screen

On your computer, open the Bluetooth Devices menu and select “Join a Personal Area Network

A window will appear on your computer: right-click on the “3455U_ XXXXXXXXXXXX” icon and select the following options: “Connect Via” / “Access Point
It is now possible to connect to the Touch module using ViP Manager software
Connecting the computer via Micro-USB
√ Before connecting the USB cable, power up the entrance panel
- Power the entrance panel as described in the table below
- Connect the PC to the Touch module using the USB cable
- Press the lock-release button
- Press
- Enter the supercode (default: 778899)
- Press “USB”
- Press “Enable network connection

Connect the entrance panel as shown in the table below
Searching for devices to configure

√ Connect the Touch module to the computer (see page 23 and 24) and open ViP Manager
In Options (1)/Local connections (2) select the correct network interface (3) in accordance with the method used to connect the computer and the touch module (Micro-USB, LAN, Bluetooth). Confirm by clicking OK (4). -
Click Scan system (5) to start searching for devices.
Entering names in the directory

Select Directories/Name directory
-
Enter the information required (at least one “Call address” and one
“Name” need to be filled out for each contact) -
Click “Write page” to send the data to the Touch module
Changing the call layout
- Select Layout/Settings
- Select the “Layout type” from the drop-down menu
- Click “Write page”to send the new configuration to the Touch module
If the selected layout is “name directory” and the number of users stored is between 1 and 6, the size of the call buttons will automatically adapt to the screen size
Restoring the micro-SD card configuration
The micro-SD card provided can be used to save all the settings and logs for
Touch module art. 3455U.
This data is updated once a day.
If the module is replaced, these settings can be copied to a new Touch module
as follows:
- Remove the micro-SD card from the Touch module being replaced
- Insert it into the computer using the special adapter provided
- Connect the new Touch module to the computer and connect to the latter using a USB/micro-USB cable and the ViP Manager software
- Search for the device to configure as described on page 25
- Use the mouse to right-click on the Touch module
- Select “Restore configuration”
- Select the restore file on the micro-SD card: backup/XX-XX-XX_bkp.tar.gz
- Remove the micro-SD card from the computer
