Compatible with the following models:

Introduction
Congratulations on purchasing the KTX-LK8, LK10 or LK12. This installation manual is designed to take you through the step-by-step installation of the linking your S2 Prismalink Enclosures Together. Please familiarize yourself with the owners manual and if you still have additional questions please call 1-800-TECH-101.
Note: To ensure safe use, Always follow these precautions.
The installation of this product requires specialized skills and experience.
We recommend that you have the product installed by an Alpine authorized
dealer.
Before you use this product, be sure to carefully read this installation
manual so that you can use the product correctly, Failing to do so could lead
to damaged equipment or an accident. Alpine Electronics bears no
responsibility for problems that arise as a result of failure to follow the
instructions in the manual.

Make sure enclosure is secured to the vehicle. Failing to do so can lead to electric shock, injury or damage to equipment.

When making a hole in the vehicle body, be careful to avoid damaging pipes, the fuel tank, electrical wiring, and the like. This kind of damage could lead to an accident or fire.

Do not install the product where it may be exposed to water or in a place with high levels of humidity or dust.
Doing so could lead to fire or damaged equipment. -
Start all screw threads by hand and avoid overtourqing screws, failure to do so may damage your equipment.

This Prismalink subwoofer box is compatible with KTE-8G.3, KTE-1 0G.3, KTE-12G.3 grille kits. (Not included)

Slide (2) PrismaLink enclosure sides together.

Place the rear steel brace place onto the middle 4 mounting locations (2 Left, 2 Right) and secure the plate by the (4) M5x14 screw provided (Recommended to hand tighten by a Philips bit).

Remove the (4) M5x14 middle screws that came included with each sub box (top and bottom right side of the left enclosure and the top and bottom left side of the right enclosure). There are (2) from each box along the linking faces.
(Set them someplace safe you will not need them unless unlinking your enclosures)

Secure the front brace plate to the front of the 2 enclosures, linking them together. The 2 center LED bars should align into the backside of the brace. Locate the (4) M5x25 screws and hand tighten using the Hex Key (included).

If you have purchased the ILX-670 head unit, the Prismalink is capable of LED control by the Lightinglink Software from the head unit.
If you prefer to control the LEDs on the enclosure by ILX-670, please see Section A).
If you prefer to control by the wireless IR remote (included) please see Section B).
Section A
To control the LED functions on the Prismalink by the ILX-670, connect the 3-Wire adapter plug to the IN location on the first (left or single) enclosure terminal and ensure that the terminal switch is set to Position A (Left)
• Connect the Red Wire to 12V
• Connect the Black Wire to GND
• Connect the Brown Wire to the Lightinglink Brown Wire from the back of the ILX-670.
• *While in Position A the remote will only function while aimed at the ILX-670. All function while aimed at the enclosure IR sensor will be Disabled while in position A.
Section B
If you have NOT purchased the ILX-670 head unit OR Prefer to use the IR remote functions for the Prismalink LED control, ensure the terminal switch is set to Position B
• Connect the Red Wire to 12V
• Connect the Black Wire to GND
• Leave the Brown Wire Disconnected

With all units linked and controllers set, Connect the daisy chain linking cable (included with Linking Kit) to connect the first enclosure OUT port to the second Enclosure IN port. If you are linking more than 2 enclosures repeat steps 2-6.
*Please use caution with the impedance when using 3 or more 2 Ohm cabinets. This requires subwoofers to removed from the enclosure, re wired in series to 8 Ohm each and re-installed. Make sure your amp is stable for the impedance you are wired at.
Refer to wiring diagram page 6 for sample schematic .

Carefully team lift and load the subwoofer enclosures into your vehicle.

*All 4 subwoofers MUST be taken out of the enclosure and wired from 2 Ohm to 8 Ohm (Change from Parallel to Series with the Jumper installed on the subwoofer)
