Product Information

The VB100 VGA Booster is a device designed to enhance the video signal quality between a computer and a monitor. It features a Gain/Compensation knob for adjusting display quality and can be powered either through the VGA source or using the included power adapter.

Hardware Installation

  1. Connecting Cables:
    Use an HDB-15 VGA cable to connect the computer’s video port to the video input port on the VB100. Then, use another HDB-15 VGA cable to connect the monitor to the VB100’s video output port.

  2. Powering Up:
    Plug the power adapter into an AC power source and then connect it to the Power Jack on the VB100.

  3. Adjusting Display Quality:
    Use the Gain/Compensation knob on the VB100 to improve the display quality, adjusting as needed for distance between devices.

  4. Completing Installation:
    Once all connections are made, and adjustments are done, the display setup is ready for use.

Important Notes:

  1. The combined maximum distance of the two VGA cables should not exceed 70 meters.
  2. The VB100 can draw power from the VGA source if close enough; otherwise, use the provided power adapter.

Q: Can the VB100 be used with any type of monitor?
A: The VB100 is compatible with monitors that support VGA input.

Q: Is it possible to daisy-chain multiple VB100 boosters for extended distances?
A: It is not recommended to daisy-chain multiple boosters as it may degrade the signal quality.

Hardware Installation B

  1. Use a HDB-15 VGA cable* to connect the computer’s video port to the video input port on the VB100.
  2. Use a HDB-15 VGA cable* to connect the monitor to the VB100’s video output port.
  3. Plug the power adapter* that came with the VB100 into an AC power source, then plug the power adapter cable into the Power Jack.
  4. Use the Gain/Compensation knob to improve the display quality, adjusting for distance.
  5. Once the hardware installation is complete, the display is ready for use.

Note:

  1. The length of each of the two VGA cables can vary, but the maximum distance of the two VGA cables combined can not exceed 70 meters.
  2. The VB100 can obtain power from the VGA source if it is installed close enough for the video card to provide sufficient power. If the there is no video image on the monitor, you must use the power adapter included with this package.
