Hardware Overview
The VK102 Tabletop Kit (EU, 2-Gang) provides a convenient solution for mounting various devices in a tabletop setup.
Front View
The front of the kit features a front knockout and 2 M3x8 screw holes for securing components.
Rear View
The rear view includes a rear knockout seal for cable management.
Bottom View
The bottom view contains wall-mount hook holes, M4x18 screw holes, and a bottom knockout for versatile installation options.
Product Usage Instructions
Installing an ATEN Control Pad / Keypad
Desktop Mount
- Place the enclosure on a desk with a designated hole or space for wires. Secure the enclosure to the desk using the provided M4x18 screws.
- Run cables through the rear or bottom knockout to the front knockout based on your application needs. Adjust the rear knockout seal as required.
- Connect necessary cables to the Control Pad / Keypad following the wiring information in the Control System User Manual.
- Secure the Control Pad / Keypad inside the enclosure using the provided M3x8 screws.
- Install buttons and faceplate onto the Control Pad / Keypad.
Wall Mount
- (Optional) Drill pilot holes in the wall and insert anchors for stability.
- Align the wall-mount holes on the enclosure with the wall studs and mount it securely using M4x18 screws.
FAQ
Q: Can I use different screws for mounting?
A: It is recommended to use the specified screws provided in the package for mounting to ensure proper installation and stability.

Installing an ATEN Control Pad / Keypad
Desktop Mount

Place the enclosure on a desk where a hole is punched out or space is reserved to provide a path for wires. Optionally secure the enclosure to the desk with the four M4x18 screws provided.

Depending on your application, run the cables through the rear or bottom knockout to the front knockout.
Note: The rear knockout can be fully covered. Loosen the 2 screws and rotate the knockout seal to make the notch upward to fully cover the hole. Secure it again with the 2 screws. -
Connect the required cables to the Control Pad / Keypad.
Note: For wiring information of the Control Pad / Keypad, refer to the Control System User Manual. -
Fold the wires into the enclosure and then secure the Control Pad / Keypad with the six M3x8 screws provided.

Install the buttons and faceplate to the Control Pad / Keypad.
Wall Mount

(Optional) To secure the enclosure to the wall, drill the pilot holes through the wall and put the 4 anchors in the wall in advance.

With the rear side downwards, align the wall-mount holes to the pre-installed wall studs, and then attach the enclosure to the wall by mounting it to the wall studs. Optionally secure it with the four M4x18 screws provided.

Depending on your application, run the cable from the rear or bottom knockout to the front knockout.
Note: The rear knockout can be fully covered. Loosen the 2 screws and rotate the knockout seal to make the notch upward to fully cover the hole. Secure it again with the 2 screws. -
Connect the cables to the Control Pad / Keypad.
Note: For wiring information of the Control Pad / Keypad, refer to the Control System User Manual. -
Fold the wires into the enclosure and then secure the Control Pad / Keypad with the six M3x8 screws provided.
Installing an ATEN Touch panel (VK320)
Desktop Mount

Place the enclosure on a desk where a hole is punched out or space is reserved to provide a path for wires. Optionally secure enclosure to the desk with the four M4x18 screws provided.

Remove the mounting plate from the Touch Panel and secure it onto the enclosure with the two M3x5 screws provided.

Depending on your application, run the cables through the rear or bottom knockout to the front knockout.
Note: The rear knockout can be fully covered. Loosen the 2 screws and rotate the knockout seal to make the notch upward to fully cover the hole. Secure it again with the 2 screws. -
Connect the required cables to the Touch Panel.
Note: For wiring information of the Touch Panel, refer to the Control System User Manual. -
Fold the wires into the enclosure and then:
- (a) Align the Touch Panel onto the mounting plate.
- (b) Slide the Touch Panel until it locks on the mounting plate.
- Secure the Touch Panel to the mounting plate with the screw you removed at step 2.
Wall Mount

(Optional) To secure the enclosure to the wall, drill the pilot holes through the wall and put the 4 anchors in the wall in advance.

With the rear side downwards, align the wall-mount holes to the pre-installed wall studs, and then attach the enclosure to the wall by mounting it to the wall studs. Optionally secure it with the four M4x18 screws provided.

(a) Align the Touch Panel onto the mounting plate.
(b) Slide the Touch Panel until it locks on the mounting plate.
- Secure the Touch Panel to the mounting plate with the screw you removed at step 2.
Installing an ATEN HDMI & VGA HDBaseT Transmitter (VE2812AEUT)
Desktop Mount

Place the enclosure on a desk where a hole is punched out or space is reserved to provide a path for wires. Optionally secure the enclosure to the desk with the four M4x18 screws provided.

Secure the mounting plate to the enclosure with the six M3x8 screws provided in the VE2812AEUT package.

Depending on your application, run the cables through the rear or bottom knockout to the front knockout.
Note: The rear knockout can be fully covered. Loosen the 2 screws and rotate the knockout seal to make the notch upward to fully cover the hole. Secure it again with the 2 screws. -
Connect the required cables to the transmitter.
Note: For wiring information of the transmitter, refer to its user manual. -
Fold the wires into the enclosure and then press transmitter unit to lock it onto the mounting plate.

Secure the transmitter to the mounting plate with the four M3x8 screws provided.
Wall Mount
