- power outlets
- PDU load light bar
- status LED(s)
- switch button
- rack mount ears
- grounding terminal
- surge protection (inapplicable to PE1109, PE1209, PE1316B, and PE1324B)

Hardware Installation -Mounting
1U Mounting (PE1109, PE1209, PE1118S, and PE1218S)
- Align the unit in 1U of space on the rack. Lift one end of the unit such that you can slide the unit where its rack mount ears appear on either side of the rack poles.
- Stabilize the rack mount ears of the unit to the rack using screws.
0U Mounting (PE1116S, PE1216S, PE1224S, PE1316S, PE1324S, PE1316B, and PE1324B)
Using Rack Mount Ears
- Align one of the screw holes of the ear to the rack’s screw holes and screw a screw to stabilize the unit to the rack.
- Repeat for the other rack mount ear to complete the rack mount.
Using Rack Mount Buttons
- Identify where the button holes are on the rack, position the unit near the rack vertically and align the rack mount buttons to the button holes.
- Insert the buttons to the button holes.
- Let the buttons stabilize in the button holes and the mounting is complete.
Using L-Shaped Mounting Kit
- On the ear of the unit, unscrew the screw of the rack mount buttons and the rack mount ear.
- Position the unit near the rack vertically and align the 2 screw holes of the L-shaped mounting kit to the 2 screw holes of the unit. Stabilize the mounting kit to the unit using the screws from the kit.
- Align one of the sliding holes (you can choose either) of the other half of the L-shaped mounting kit to a screw hole of the rack. Stabilize the mounting kit onto the rack using a rack screw.
- Repeat for the other side (where the other Rack Mount Button is) of the unit.
Hardware Installation
Refer to the installation diagram (the numbers in the diagram correspond to the numbered steps), and do the following:
-
Ground the unit by connecting one end of a grounding wire to the Grounding Terminal and the other end to a suitable grounded object.
Note: Do not omit this step. Proper grounding helps to prevent damage to the unit from power surges or static electricity. -
Connect the unit’s power cord to an AC power source.
-
For each device you want to connect, connect its power cable between the device’s AC socket (where applicable) and any available outlet on the unit.
Note: We strongly advise that you do not plug the unit into a multi
socket extension cord, since it may not receive enough amperage to operate
correctly. Once you have fi nished these installation steps, you can turn on
the unit and the connected devices.
3-Digit 7-Segment Display
The 3-digit 7-segment display is as shown in the Hardware Review. The top
display indicates the input voltage, and the bottom display indicates the
output current in numerical information for easy reading. See the table below
for how the voltage is displayed in the 3-digit 7-segment display.
Voltage & **Current Value** | Indication |
---|---|
³ 100 | Indicates a number equal to or greater than 100, with the maximum of |
- ³ 10 and < 100| Indicates a number equal to or greater than 10, but less than
-
< 10| Indicates a number less than 10.
