INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATION OF ELECTRIC WATER HEATER VIA THE INTERNET
Thank you for your trust as a consumer which you have granted to us by purchasing the electrical appliance with a built-in wireless communication module. The only condition for using the inbuilt wireless communication module in TESY appliances is to have a device which is able to connect to Wi-Fi networks, and has a reliable Web browser and internet connection.

ORDER OF THE STEPS FOR CONNECTING THE INBUILT WI-FI MODULE IN A TESY APPLIANCE TO THE INTERNET

Registration in MyTESY app

  1. Download and install MyTESY app. You can scan the QR codes suitable for your smart device from fig.A.1

  2. Launch the application. You can change the application language from the drop-down menu to the right of the TESY logo.
    It is necessary to register in the MyTESY application.
    • If you already have one, go directly to the button “Already a member? Sign in ”.
    • If you are a new user, select “Sign up in MyTESY” via the “Sign up in MyTESY” button.

  3. New user registration
    • Complete the registration form with a valid e-mail address, password and your names.
    • Press the “Sign up in MyTESY” button.

  4. On the next screen, you have to log in to your newly registered account by:
    • entering your e-mail address and password;
    • Press the “LOG IN” button to enter the application.

THE MAIN SCREEN OF THE APPLICATION

Dashboard

  1. Personalise your user profile;

  2. Add different TESY appliances;

  3. Control the appliances in the list of Devices and monitor their current status;

  4. List of notifications related to the operation of the appliances . Status indication of the appliance:

  5. “ON / OFF” button
    – the appliance is turned on (red button). Press the button to turn the appliance off;
    – the appliance is turned off (greem button). Press the button to turn the appliance on;

  6. Appliance state:
    • Active – the device is switched on.
    • Inactive – the device is in “Stand By” mode

  7. Current mode:
    • Manual;
    • Program;
    • ECO;
    • BOOST;
    • Vacation.

  8. Appliance status:
    • Heating;
    • Ready.

  9. Information about the current amount of hot water / temperature;

  10. Information about the set amount of hot water / temperature.
    Custom app settings.
    To configure your account press the button on the main screen of the app.
    On the screen you will see the parameters that can be changed at any time, as well as various useful information.

  11. Account Details
    This menu displays yours registration data for MyTESY – e-mail address and your name. Here you can change your language settings by selecting your preferred language for the mobile app.

  12. Change password.
    With this feature, you have the option to change your password in case you have forgotten it or for greater security. On the Change Password page, enter the new password. To save the new password, select the “Confirm” button.

  13. TesyCloud.
    This feature is only for users with a registered account on the TesyCloud app.
    To manage your appliances registered in the TesyCloud app (convectors CN03, CN04 and all models of electric water heaters with Internet control) through the MyTESY application, complete the following steps:
    • From the “Settings” menu, select the “TesyCloud” option.
    • In the active screen, fill in your e-mail address and password of your TesyCloud account. Confirm the entered data.
    If your e-mail address and password are filled in correctly, your appliances will appear on the “Dashboard” of the application. If data is filled in incorrectly, the list of connected appliances remains empty.

    With this function you have access to the User Manuals for the various Tesy appliances.

ADDING A TESY APPLIANCE TO YOUR ACCOUNT

If you have no added appliances in the MyTESY application, the list of the connected appliances on the Dashboard will be empty.
With the MyTESY app, you can add a new Tesy brand appliance, as well as integrate appliances from the TesyCloud app.

  1. Integrating appliances from the TesyCloud app into the MyTESY app.
    To manage your appliances registered in the TesyCloud application (convectors CN03, CN04 and all models of electric water heaters with Internet control) through the MyTESY application, complete the following steps:
    1.1. From the Settings menu, select the TesyCloud option.
    1.2. In the active screen, enter the e-mail address and password of your TesyCloud account. Confirm the entered data.
    1.3. If the e-mail address and password are entered correctly, your registered appliances with the TesyCloud application will appear on the “Dashboard” of the application. If data is filled in incorrectly, the list of connected appliances remains empty.
    1.4. In case you have forgotten your password, please use the “Forgot Password?” function. At the e-mail address you specified, you will receive a confirmation code and the opportunity to change your password.

  2. Adding a new Tesy-branded appliance to the MyTESY application.
    2.1. Press the “+” button from the Dashboard.
    Read the following list of necessary requirements for the successful connection of the appliance. Select the “Continue” button.
    2.2. Select the type of appliance you want to add.
    2.3. On the screen are displayed the instructions for preparing to add the selected appliance via the control panel commands.
    • To perform the following functions, the appliance control must be switched off (StandBy);
    • Turn on the Wi-Fi module;
    Note: Whether the module is switched on is indicated by a steady Wi-Fi symbol on the control panel.
    • Turn on the wireless network of your device;
    Note: In order to prevent unauthorized access to the wireless network of your appliance, the network is available (visible) for a period of 5 minutes after the initial power-on or reset. If you exceed this time it is necessary to reactivate/restart the wireless network of your appliance – see „Instructions for use and storage” – „Factory settings reset” function.
    2.4. Manually enter the wireless network name of the appliance, or scan the QR code.
    Note: The wireless network name is case sensitive.
    Note: The QR code and the wireless network name are marked on a label next to the rating plate of the appliance Press the “Continue” button. The app automatically connects to the wireless network of the appliance.
    2.5. Select your local wireless Wi-Fi network and press the “Continue” button.
    Note: If your network is not visible in the list of networks, press the “Scan” button to refresh the list.
    2.6. Enter the password of the selected network and press the “Continue” button.
    Note: If you do not see your Wi-Fi network in the list of available networks, you must enter it manually.
    2.7. On the next screen you need to enter:
    • The profile registration e-mail address.
    • For some models, you can enter an appliance name.
    • For models where the network broadcast by the device remains accessible after joining, you can enter a password to protect it.
    Upon successful connection to your local wireless Wi-Fi network and, accordingly, to the Internet, the Dashboard will open. Your appliance will be added to the list.
    2.8. Turn on your appliance using the ON/OFF button on the control panel of the appliance.
    Note: If a connection failure message appears on the screen, check whether the password of your local network is entered correctly or the quality and/or availability of the Internet service.
    Note: To change the name of the added appliance to a name of your choice, click on the appliance in the list of appliance and in the screen that opens select the “…” button. In the opened menu, select “Rename appliance”.

APPLIANCE MANAGEMENT

From the list of registered devices, select the device you want to control.
A screen opens with controls that allow you to select the mode of operation, to monitor the current status of the appliance, to make a detailed reference of the consumed energy:

  1. To be able to operate you device, it must be switched on .

  2. Manual operation mode
    Using slider on the right, you can manually set the degree to which you want the water in the water heater to be heated. During heating the message “HEATING” will appear on the screen. When the appliance has reached the set value the message “READY” will appear on the screen.

  3. Weekly programmer mode .
    The appliance you have purchased is with three built-in weekly program modes.
    Each of these modes is a weekly schedule for operation of the electric water heater where the desired temperature of the water is set for each hour of the day and the night, and for all days of the week. The programs can be changed according to your preferences and habits.
    3.1. To set your device in program mode P1 or P2 or P3, press the “Activate” button.
    3.2. Adding/Editing the settings of “Weekly programmer” mode is done by the “Edit” button. In this menu, you have the opportunity to create a work schedule for each program and change it if necessary.

Add a program for a day of the week:
A new window opens, which allows for:

  1. Choice of day of the week;
  2. Option to copy the current settings for all days of the week;
  3. “Add program” – selection of time range and temperature setting.
    3.3. Time range selection and temperature setting:
    A new window opens that allows you to:
    1. In the “From” field, set a start time;
    2. In the “To” field, set an end time;
    3. Temperature selection using the slider
    4. Save the settings with the “Save” button.

Program modes – P1, P2 and P3
You can choose which day of the week, for what period of time the appliance should be turned on and what amount of hot water it should provide. The appliance turns on and off at the precisely set time.

Programs P1 and P2 on Bellislimo models
You can choose on which day of the week, at what time, what amount of hot water is needed. The appliance calculates when to turn on to provide the required amount at the time you set.

Example:
If it is set to have hot water for 3 showers on Wednesday at 18:00, the unit will maintain this amount for a certain period of time and turn off.

4. “Eco smart ” mode.
In “Eco smart” mode the electric water heater elaborates its own algorithm for operation so as to ensure energy saving, and therefore, to reduce you electricity bill and at the same time to keep the comfort in your home while it is being used.
Eco smart – Your TESY electric water heater is of the highest energy class. The class of the appliance is guaranteed only when it operates in ECO mode due to the significant energy savings that are generated.
Eco Comfort – Eco Comfort mode of operation is intended for users with frequently changing habits for whom an exact schedule of weekly operation would be difficult to establish. You can select Eco Comfort mode of operation – for higher level of comfort which again guarantees energy saving, but to a lower extent.
Eco Night (SMART algorithm with night-time heating priority).
If the operation of the appliance in Eco Comfort mode does not satisfy you, please select the next level of comfort Eco Night

5. Vacation mode
If you plan to be away from home for more than 1 day, you can enable the Vacation mode so that the electric water heater will “know” when you will be back to provide you with hot water.
To enable Vacation mode press the Vacation button.
In the screen that is displayed set the date, time and the desired temperature of the water using the controls on the screen.
To disable Vacation mode, select one of the other modes of operation.

6. BOOST function.
When the BOOST function is enabled the water heater will heat the water up to the maximum possible temperature without changing the algorithm of operation of the respective mode of operation, i.e. Without changing the week program, the “Eco smart” control logic or the manually set temperature. When the maximum temperature has been reached the appliance automatically switches to the previously selected model of operation.

ADDITIONAL SETTINGS

Choose “More” … button to enter additional settings of the chosen appliance.

  1. Rename appliance
    Through this menu, you have the option to assign a name to each appliance that you control through the app. In the “Name” field, enter a recognizable name and confirm it with the “Confirm” button.

  2. Device Information;

  3. Statistics;
    By means of a graph, it displays information about the operation of the device for the last 24 hours.

  4. Energy calculator – gives information about the consumed power for a specific period of time.
    • Power consumption from the date of the last reset;
    • The counter value can be cleared using the “Reset” button.
    • Detailed information about the consumed energy for the current day, the previous day, for the year.
    Note: In order for the calculator to function correctly you need to select the volume of the electric water heater. For some models the volume is determined automatically by the app, while for others it is selected from the suggestions in the list on the screen.
    Note: The volume of the water heater is marked on the rating plate of the appliance.
    Note: The calculator is not a precise measuring device. It is a function that gives you information about the consumed energy.

  5. Settings;
    World Clock – Select your location, depending on which country you are in.

  6. Delete appliance.
    With this function, the selected device is removed from your profile.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If you have any problems with your water heater, please contact the service which is add in the warranty card or the dealer from which you have bought the device.

Most frequent problems: Solution:
Failed connection to or finding of the Wi-Fi network of the appliance Check

whether the wireless connection symbol on the display is active.
Check whether the appliance is connected to the power supply source.
Get close to the appliance.
Failed connection to the home Wi-Fi network
(wireless connection)| Check whether the modem is on.
If you use a laptop, make sure that the switch for the wireless connection, located in the front, the side or the back of the laptop is in ON position
Make sure that you have entered correctly the name of your home network.
Wait for about 1 minute and check again whether the connection is successful.
The water heater cannot be seen in the application.| Check whether your router is connected to the Internet.
The appliance has to be connected to the wireless router (modem) in your house (office).
Check whether you have entered correctly the email of your account in the main menu of the appliance’s network.
The water heater is connected correctly, but it does not work| Restart the application.
If the inbuilt wireless module does not find the wireless router
(modem)| Use an additional wireless module to enhance the signal of the wireless router (modem).
You have forgotten the password of the wireless Wi-Fi device of the water heater.| If you have forgotten the password for protection of your network, you will need to use the RESET function of the appliance to restore its factory settings. See Instruction for use and storage, Restore Factory Settings section.
An attempt to restore the factory settings fails.| The appliance has to be switched off from the stand-by button (it has to be illuminated in white).
Upon opening the mobile application, the main menu is visualized in the water heater’s network| If upon activation of the mobile application the main menu of the water heater is loaded, and not the dedicated screen for control via the Internet, you need to stop the direct Wi-Fi connection with the appliance established through its aerial wireless network TCHxxxxxxxx and then connect to your home network.
