Product Usage Instructions
Unpacking the Metrology Station:
- Unpack and verify that all items are present as per the list provided.
Installation:
NOTICE: Disconnect power from the instrument before starting the
installation process.
- Remove the hole plug in the enclosure and install the cable gland and jam nut.
- Insert the green connector into the Thiamis 1000 Node RS-485 socket.
- Install the connector on the DIN rail inside the enclosure.
- Insert one end of the connection cable through the gland and tighten it around the cable.
- Attach the other end of the cable to the weather station using a 14-mm wrench.
- Insert the red and black wires into the connector.
- Attach RS-485/SDI-12 Communication Wires to the green connector using a small flat blade screwdriver.
- Refer to the weather station manual for mounting instructions and specifications.
- Reapply power to the instrument once installation is complete.
- Use Environet to pair the weather station to the Thiamis 1000 following the provided steps.

Quick Start Guide
This guide will help you quickly attach the 10 m connection cable included
with the Lufft WS300 (TSIS PIN 854050)/ Lufft WSSOO (TSI’ PIN 854051) to the
DustTrak”‘ Environmental Monitor.
CAUTION
Refer to the Manufacturer’s Manual and follow all instructions regarding;
setup, installation, proper use, maintenance, safe , and troubleshooting
Tools Needed for Installation
- Small Flat Blade Screw Driver (not included)
- 14-mm Wrench
Installation
NOTICE
Disconnect power from the instrument. The instrument SHOULD NOT have power
during this installation procedure.
- Remove the hole plug in the enclosure and install the cable gland and jam nut.
- One end of the 10 m connection cable for the metrology station has been stripped back and ends added for connections inside the enclosure.
- Insert the wire end of the cable through the gland. Tighten (hand tight) the gland around the cable to prevent leakage.
- Insert the red and black wires into the connector as shown.
- Attach RS-485/SDl-12 Communication Wires to green connector as shown. A small flat blade screw driver can be used to tighten the connector to the wires.
- . Insert the green connector into the Thiamis 1000 Node RS-485 socket.
- Install the connector as shown to the DIN rail inside the enclosure.
- Attach the other end of the cable to weather station. Tighten (hand tight) with a 14-mm open ended wrench (see figure to right).
- See the weather station manual for mounting instructions and specifications.
- Reapply power to the instrument.
- Environet can be used to pair the weather station to the Thiamis 1000.
