SPECIFIC SAFETY

WARNING! DO NOT let comfort or familiarity with product (gained from repeated use) replace strict adherence to the tool safety rules. If you use this tool unsafely or incorrectly, you can suffer serious personal injury.
WARNING! Do not use the air mover without installing the guard. Failure to install the guard may result in an injury or amputation. Install and check all guards are secure before attaching the air mover to a power source.

  1. Use the correct tool for the job. This tool was designed for a specific function. Do not modify or alter this tool or use it for an unintended purpose.
  2. Do not use the tool if any parts are damaged, broken or misplaced. Repair or replace the parts.
  3.  Do not use any power tool with a malfunctioning trigger, power switch or control. A power tool that fails to respond to the controls is dangerous and can cause an injury. A qualified technician must repair and verify the power tool is operating correctly, before it can be used.
  4. To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not use this air mover with any solid state speed control device.
  5. Never insert fingers or any other objects into the ventilation openings when the air mover is in operation.
  6. Disconnect the air mover when moving from one location to another.
  7.  Disconnect the air mover when removing the guard for cleaning.
  8. Be sure that the air mover is on a stable, flat surface when in operation.
  9. Do not operate with any ventilation openings blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair or anything that may reduce air flow.
  10.  Do not use an extension cord with this air mover.
  11. Do not use as a hand truck.
  12. Do not lift the air mover using the retractable handle.
  13. Do not use the retractable handle and wheels for going up and down stairs.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

WARNING! Do not touch or handle a live tool with any part of your body that is wet or damp. Wet skin reduces resistance to electrical current, increasing the danger of a serious or fatal shock.
WARNING! To reduce risk of electric shock, be certain that the plug is connected to a properly grounded receptacle.

  1. Do not alter any parts of the tool or accessories. All parts and accessories are designed with built-in safety features that may be compromised if altered.
  2. Protect yourself against electric shocks when working on electrical equipment. Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces. There is an increased chance of electrical shock if your body is grounded.
  3. Do not expose the air mover to rain, snow, frost or any other damp or wet conditions. Water entering a tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
  4. Do not disconnect the power cord in place of using the rocker switch. This will prevent an accidental start-up when the power cord is plugged into the power supply.
  5. n the event of a power failure, turn off or unplug the machine as soon as the power is interrupted. The possibility of accidental injury could occur if the power returns and the unit is not switched off.
  6.  Make certain the power source conforms to requirements of your equipment (see Specifications).
  7.  This tool is equipped with a 115V three-prong grounded power supply cord and plug. Check with a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded. If the tool should electronically malfunction or break down, grounding provides a low resistance path to carry electricity away from the user.
    a. Never remove the grounding prong or modify the plug in any way, as this will render the tool unsafe.
    b. Do not use any adapter plugs.

POWER CORD SAFETY

  1. Insert the power cord plug directly to the power supply whenever possible.

  2. Do not operate this tool if the power cord is frayed, damaged or poorly spliced, as an electric shock may occur, resulting in personal injury or property damage. Have the power cord replace by a qualified service technician.

  3.  Discontinue use if a power cord feels more than comfortably warm while operating the tool.

  4.  Keep all connections dry and off the ground to reduce the risk of electric shock. Do not touch the plug or wiring with wet hands.

  5. Prevent damage to the power cord by observing the following:
    a. Do not pull on the cord to disconnect the plug from an outlet.
    b. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.

  6. Position the cord so it is not stepped on, tripped over or otherwise subjected to damage or stress.

  7. Do not wrap the cord around the tool, as sharp edges may cut insulation or cause cracks if wound too tight. Gently coil cord and either hang on a hook or fasten with a device to keep cord together during storage.

  8. Do not run the cord under carpeting or cover with throw rugs, runners or similar coverings. Covering that cord may result in the tool overheating and starting a fire.

UNPACKING

WARNING! Do not operate the tool if any part is missing. Replace the missing part before operating. Failure to do so could result in a malfunction and personal injury.
Remove the parts and accessories from the packaging and inspect for damage.

OPERATIONS

MOVING THE AIR MOVER
There are two methods of moving the air
mover to a new location. The first is to lift it by the carrying handle and placing it down in the new location. The second is to wheel it to the new location.
The air mover comes packaged with the retractable handle in an unlocked position.

  1. Place the air mover in an upright position, on a clean, flat surface.
  2. Pull the retractable handle up until it is fully extended.
  3. Gently pull up on the extended handle until you hear the sound of the locking buttons, located at the bottom of the handle, snapping into place.
  4. Check to make sure that all six buttons are securely locked into place for safety. You may now safely move your air mover using the retractable handle.
  5. Pull the handle downward in an arc to tip the air mover onto its wheels.
  6.  Roll the air mover to the new location.
  7. Press each set of buttons to collapse the telescopic handle. The handle locking button will depress when the handle is locked and secured.

OPERATING THE AIR MOVER
WARNING! Do not use the air mover in a location with toxic, combustible or hazardous fumes. The air from the area surrounding the air mover will be drawn into by the fan and blown out with force. This can move fumes to new locations and harm unaware bystanders.

  1. Position the air mover on a flat surface with the air outlet directed towards the area that requires drying. Make sure the fan intake is not blocked or too close to a wall or other obstacle.

  2. Collapse the handle if extended.

  3. Plug the power cord into a nearby power outlet. Keep the power cord off the ground and use a CGFI outlet, if possible. in a damp area.

  4. Turn the selector to the desired air flow volume, then turn the power on.
The air will begin to flow.

  5. Check the area on a regular basis to determine when it is dry.

  6. Turn off the power before repositioning the air mover. Unplug the air mover if relocating it by more than a foot away.

  7. Switch off the power and unplug the power cord once the area is dry.

  8. Store the air mover.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

  1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient, easier to control and will have fewer problems.
  2.  Check and tighten all loose screws, bolts and nuts.
  3. Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or worn components. Only use identical replacement parts when servicing.
  4. Clear the vents of any dirt, dust and debris on a regular basis to prevent the tool from overheating.
  5. Maintain the tool’s labels and name plates. These carry important information. If unreadable or missing, contact Princess Auto Ltd. for replacements.
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should repair the tool. An improperly repaired tool may present a hazard to the user and/or others.

CLEANING

  1. Unplug the power cord.
  2. Remove dust and debris from the motor’s vents with a cloth, brush or vacuum. Do not use compressed air, as it may blow dust into the motor.
  3. Only clean with a damp cloth. Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts.

DISPOSAL
Recycle a tool damaged beyond repair at the appropriate facility.
Contact your local municipality for a list of disposal facilities or by-laws for electronic devices, batteries, oil or other toxic liquids.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Visit a Princess Auto Ltd. location for a solution if the tool does not function properly or parts are missing. If unable to do so, have a qualified technician service the tool.
