Installation Guide
WARNING: RISK OF FIRE, EXPLOSION, OR ELECTRIC SHOCK
-
This product should be installed, inspected, and maintained by a qualified electrician only.
-
Turn off electrical power before inspection, installation, or removal.
-
Use only UL (or other NTRL) approved wire for input/output connections. Minimum size 18 AWG or 14 AWG for continuous runs.
-
Ensure LEDs and drivers are cool to touch when performing maintenance. Ensure supply voltage is same as rated voltage of luminaire.
-
Do not install in hazardous atmosphere.
-
Do not install in an application where ambient temperature exceeds rated operating temperature.
Before Starting
- Ensure supply power is shut off.
- Unpack fixture and ensure there are no damaged or missing parts.
NOTE: Fixture must be sealed where it contacts mounting surface with a silicone sealant.
Prepare electrical wiring
Electrical requirements

Line Voltage Passive Infrared Sensor
WARNING
NOTE: Warm up time is 40 seconds. After the sensor connects input power,
light will stay on 40 seconds, then go to dimming to work normally.
NOTE: Factory default setting: 100% sensitivity. Hold time: 10 seconds.
Daylight sensor: 30 lux. Dimming level: 30%. Dimming time: 60 minutes.
NOTE: When any setting is changed by DIP switch or remote control,
fixture that sensor is connected to will turn ON/OFF as confirmation.
Utilizing Field and Introduction
BRI810-B-M8 is a passive infrared occupancy sensor, as a fixture sensors mounts in indoor light fixture and provides bi-level control. It works by 120-277 VAC power and controls 0-10 VDC LED drivers or dimming ballasts. All controls parameters (Hold time, daylight sensor threshold, stand-by level, stand-by time) are adjustable via DIP switch.
Function and Options
The passive infrared occupancy sensor can achieve tri-level dimming control for some areas that require a light change notice before switching OFF. It offers three levels of light control: 100% – dimming light (0%, 10%, 30%, 50%) – OFF, and two periods of selectable waiting time: motion hold time and stand- by time. Selectable daylight threshold and choice of detection area.
-
With sufficient natural light, light does not switch ON when presence is detected.
-
With insufficient natural light, sensor automatically switches light ON when presence detected.
-
No presence detected, light still dims to 0% / 10% / 30% / 50% (options) stand-by level after hold time.
-
Light automatically switches OFF after stand-by time elapsed.
