Product Information

The Smart IP Camera from ZOSI is a high-quality camera that offers various features for effective surveillance. It comes with a Micro SD card slot, a built-in microphone, speaker, lens, warm lights, power port, network cable port, and a reset button for easy operation. The camera is designed for indoor and outdoor use with its waterproof lid.

Product Usage Instructions

Connection Setup
Before setting up the camera, follow these steps:

1. Connect the camera to a ZOSI NVR with an Ethernet cable.
2. Connect the NVR to the router and power the camera through the NVR using a 12V DC power adapter or PoE power supply device.

Camera Installation
To mount the camera:

1. Drill holes according to the mounting template provided.
2. Attach the camera bracket using the screws included in the package. Run cables through the cable notch on the mounting base.
3. Adjust the camera angle and secure it in place.
4. Install the camera 8-16 ft (2.5-5m) above the ground for optimal performance.

Initial Setup
To set up the camera:

1. Download and launch the Zosi Smart App or client software.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup.
3. If connecting to a Zosi PoE NVR, set up the camera via the NVR interface.

Note on Installation Distance, Height, and Angle
The accuracy of human detection is influenced by factors like distance from the camera, person’s height, camera’s height and angle. Night vision performance is also affected by these factors.

Camera Introduction

Connection Diagram

Before the initial setup, please follow these steps to connect the camera:

1. Connect the camera to the ZOSI NVR(not included) with an Ethernet cable.
2. Connect the NVR to the router and power the camera through the NVR.
   NOTE: The camera requires a 12V DC power adapter or PoE power supply device, such as a PoE switch, PoE injector, or ZOSI PoE NVR (none of the above included in the package).

NOTE: You may also connect the camera to a PoE switch or POE injector. (PoE switch/POE injector not included)

Set up the Camera

Download and launch the Zosi Smart App or client software and follow the on- screen instructions to complete the initial setup.

  • NOTE : If you are connecting the PoE camera to a Zosi PoE NVR, please set up the camera via the NVR interface.

Install the Camera

Installation Precautions

• Do not face the camera to any light source.
• Do not point the camera at glass windows or reflective objects. Otherwise, it may result in poor image performance due to reflections from infrared LEDs, ambient lights or status lights.
• Do not mount the camera in shaded area, and point the camera towards a well-lit area. For better image quality, make sure the camera and the captured subject are at the same lighting conditions.
• It is recommended that the camera be installed as far away as possible from electronic devices such as microwaves, televisions, radio phones and baby monitors to prevent signal interference.
• It is recommended to clean the lens with a soft cloth from time to time.
• Do not expose the power port to water or moisture, or blocked by dirt or other things.
• Do not install the camera where rain and snow may hit the lens directly.
• Camera may work in extremely cold conditions as low as -10°C as it will produce heat when powered on. You may power the camera indoors for a few minutes before installing it outdoors. (Only for outdoor cameras)

Mount the Camera to the Wall

1. Drill holes according to the mounting template.
   NOTE: Use the anchors included in the package if needed.

2. Attach the camera bracket with screws included in the package. NOTE: Run the cables through the cable notch on the mounting base.

3. Loosen the knob and adjust the camera to a proper angle.

4. Twist the knob to secure the camera in place.

Installation Distance, Height and Angle

• Distance: Best accuracy for objects within 5-50 ft (1.5-15 m).
• Angle: Tilt the camera down about 30°-60° from the horizontal position.
• Height: Install the camera 8-16 ft (2.5-5m) above the ground.

NOTE: The accuracy of human detection will be affected by various factors, such as the distance between the person and the camera, the height of the person, the height and angle of the camera, etc. The accuracy and distance of detection will also be affected in the night vision environment.

FAQ

• Q: Camera cannot Turn On？
  If your camera is not powering on, please try the following solutions:

  • Make sure your camera is powered on properly. The PoE camera should be powered by a PoE switch/injector, a PoE NVR or 12V power adapter.
  • If the camera is connected to a PoE device as listed above, connect it to another PoE port and check again.
  • Try again with another Ethernet cable.

• Q: Image’s Not Clear?

  • Check if there is dirt, dust, or other debris on the camera lens, and clean the lens with a soft, clean cloth.

  • Update the camera firmware to the latest version.
  • Reset the camera to factory settings and try again.

• Q: Spotlights’ Not Turning On?
  If the spotlights on your camera are not turning on, please try the following solutions:

  • Ensure that the spotlights are enabled through the Zosi Smart App/Client on the device settings page. Update the camera firmware to the latest version.
  • Reset the camera to factory settings and check the spotlight settings again.

• Q: Does the Camera Support Motion Detection and Image Capture?

  • The camera automatically captures images when it detects people, cars, or any changes in the detected image.
  • Users can also manually capture images using the Zosi Smart App.
