Camera Overview

The PoE Camera features include:

Note: The actual appearance and accessories depend on the model purchased.

Connection Diagram

  1. Connect the camera to the LAN port of the router using an Ethernet cable.
  2. Use the power adapter provided to turn on the camera.

For PoE cameras, it is possible to connect to a PoE switch/repeater or a PoE NVR.

Note: PoE switch, PoE repeater, and ZOSI PoE NVR are not included. Cameras in the kit only work with ZOSI PoE NVR.

Camera Settings

Download and access the ZOSI Smart app or AVSS software and follow the on- screen instructions to complete the initial setup.

Note: If you are connecting a PoE camera to a ZOSI PoE NVR, set up the camera through the NVR interface.

Usage Conditions

  • Read this guide carefully and keep it for future reference.
  • Follow all instructions for safe use of the product and handle it with care.
  • Use the camera within the temperature, humidity, and voltage limits specified in the specifications. Use only accessories approved by the manufacturer.
  • Do not disassemble the camera.
  • Avoid exposing the camera directly to sunlight or strong light sources.
  • Periodic cleaning may be necessary. Use only a damp cloth. Do not use aggressive chemical detergents.

Liability Exclusion

  • This camera requires a specific approved power supply UL/CSA.
  • The use of an unregulated and non-conforming power supply can damage the product and void the warranty.
  • Do not immerse the camera in water. It is advisable to install it in a hidden position.
  • Recordings without consent are illegal in some jurisdictions. ZOSI assumes no responsibility for the use of the product not in accordance with local laws.
  • The camera includes an IR CUT that snaps when the camera switches from day vision to night vision mode. This sound indicates that the camera is functioning.

1. Camera Presentation:

The PoE camera features an integrated speaker, microphone, infrared LEDs, reset button, and an SD card slot.

2. Connection Setup:

Before initial configuration, follow these steps to connect the camera:

  1. Connect the camera to the router’s LAN port using an Ethernet cable.
    Use the provided power adapter to power on the camera.

3. Camera Settings:

Download and access the ZOSI Smart application or AVSS software and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup. If connecting a PoE camera to ZOSI’s PoE NVR, configure the camera via the NVR interface.

4. Camera Installation:

Mount the camera on the wall. Note: There are different types of cameras; refer to the actual product and install according to the corresponding instructions.

DOME:

  • Press on the top of the camera and rotate it counterclockwise to detach the mounting plate from the dome camera.
  • Drill holes according to the mounting template. Then, screw the mounting plate to the wall at the designated positions.
  • Mount the camera on the mounting plate and rotate it clockwise to lock the camera. Ensure the camera is securely locked in place to adjust the monitoring angle.

BULLET:

  • Drill holes according to the mounting template and insert anchors into the holes.
  • Align the camera bracket with the indicated position and screw the camera to the wall.
  • Loosen the bracket adjustment knob, rotate and adjust the camera to the correct angle.
  • Tighten the bracket adjustment knob to secure the camera.

5. Conditions of Use:

Ensure proper disposal of this product when necessary.

Installation Instructions

Installation Precautions

  • Avoid installing the camera facing strong light or reflective objects, between sunlight, lights, glass, mirrors, and other areas with strong light refraction.
  • Do not install in a position with objects that cover or obscure the camera.
  • Avoid mounting the camera in overly dark places and point the camera towards a well-lit area. For better image quality, ensure the camera and the subject captured are in the same lighting conditions.
  • For better image quality, occasionally clean the lens with a soft cloth.
  • Do not expose the power port to water or humidity, or block it with dirt or other objects.
  • Do not install the camera where rain and snow can hit the lens directly.
  • The camera can operate in extremely cold conditions from -10°C as it will generate heat when powered on. It is possible to power the camera indoors for a few minutes before installing it outdoors. (Only for outdoor cameras)

Note: There are two different types of cameras. Refer to the actual product and install the camera according to the corresponding instructions.

Installing Dome and Bullet Cameras

Installation Distance, Height, and Angle

Distance: Best precision for objects within 5-50 feet (1.5-15 m).

Angle: Tilt the camera about 30°-60° relative to the horizontal position.

Height: Install the camera 8-16 feet (2.5-5 m) from the ground.

Note: Human detection accuracy can be influenced by factors such as the distance between the person and the camera, the person’s height, and the camera’s angle. Night vision technology can also affect precision and detection range.
